From London
To Ankara:

The British government is interested in creating stronger ties with the Turkish state as a way of helping the Turks in their protection from the Soviet Union as well as creating a stronger presence in the northern Middle East. Ties with London could lead to excellent economic deals such as the sale of oil and other goods for manufactured products in England. There is the possibility that Britain could help develop the Turkish navy in exchange for such political ties.

To: President Ismet Inönü

To better improve relations betweenour nations, The government of Romania is offering a strategic, mutual defence pact. In exchange, Romania is offering a economic treaty that would havely benefit both our nations. The need for the defence pact is quite clear, with the agreesion desplayed by germany on it's neighbor poland, it is only a mater of time before they reach out thier hand towards us. With your combined navy and my infantry we could creat a quite strong combined force.

Unfortunately at this time Turkey wishes to maintain a stance against openly provoking Germany. Perhaps in the future this stance will change.
