An Introduction to the New Elcoria

Elcoria

OOC-I have not really been on that much and I have planned to remake my nation.

Church bells rang from the monasteries and churches, Elcoria was a Orthodox state but it was influenced not by Constantinople but by the Russian Orthodox. Emperor Elcorius XVIV? came out of the Imperial Palace, flanked by his wife and children, along with clergymen and the Elite Guard.

The Emperor rode on his horse and looked at the crowds, with soldiers paving the way for him to go through.

The Emperor went through some of the capital till he made it to the Cathedral of St. Seraphim of Sarov. When he got there, he dismounted and kneeled before going in, it was because he was respectful to the Church.

As he went in the cathedral, people could see the beauty of the cathedral with its well made iconostasis for example. The Emperor and his family found their pews and the service began.

After the service ended, the Emperor left and went through the city. Then he went back to his Palace and the Elite Guard began their patrols.

The Imperial Palace was a well kept and large one, it was fit for the Emperor and his family.

OOC-I will do more later. Is this good so far? The new Elcoria is a Orthodox (Russian, etc) state under an Emperor.

Just keep in mind, while your small, think small. Don't try to do too much. Far too many small nations run into this. Build up a history and build upon it as you enlarge.

So for so good

Thanks for the advice and compliment. I'll try not to overdo anything. This is just an introduction to the present Elcoria.

When the Emperor got to the palace, he decided to spend quality time with his children. He went horse riding with his daughters and had some rounds of archery with his sons.

After this, the Emperor met with some ministers in a meeting. There, he discussed the state of Elcoria among other things.

After the meeting, he decided to meet with his wife, Empress Elizaveta (may change later). They had a discussion over tea and light food.

The Emperor then went to review the Elite Guard, to make sure it ran properly. Then, he went to his private room and rested, deciding to read a book or two.

The Emperor emerged from his office and decided to take a walk. During his walk, he had to deal with small issues, like getting two of his kids to stop fighting or telling a renovator what he thought.

The Emperor went past the Hall of Mosaics, filled with many mosaics of people and events.

Afterwards, he went to the Imperial Tutor to ask how his children's studies were doing, his children were educated in a school attached to the Palace.

The Emperor continued his walk, thankful for a balanced life.

Emperor Elcorius XVIV?
OOC:
Due to the question mark, I assume you don't know how to do Roman Numerals. If he is the 19th emperor of that name it would be XIX (i.e. ten plus one before ten).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Numerals <-- Everything you could ever want to know about Roman Numerals and more!

Other than that, quite good, try and make it a little longer and more detailed. Tell us why the children were fighting and what the renovator wanted his thoughts about. Perhaps have him stop to admire a mosaic of his grand-father quelling some sort of rebellion and give us a little background. That sort of information makes the story far more intreasting.

Hope I've helped! ^_^

Thank you for your valuable advice. Elcorius is supposed to be the 100th or something for his family's dynasty is centuries old. I will make some more posts and will try to make them more detailed. Thank you for your help!

OOC-Here is a repost or what not.

The Emperor walked past the Hall of Mosaics, looking at mosaics of clergymen of the Orthodox Church of Elcoria.

The two children who were fighting were two of his daughters, Elizabeth and Katherine the Twins, at birth they were twins. They were only 11 or younger and fighting over some things. The Emperor saw this and stopped them from fighting.

The renovator was fixing up some things in parts of the Palace and he asked the Emperor what he thought. The Emperor seemed to like some of the new things.

OOC: I still feel your style is too generic (Am I right in believing English isn't your 1st language?)
Here is the sort of thing I would do:
As the emperor passed the hall of mosaics, filled with many marvelous mosaics of othodox clergymen bringng their religion to the once heathen lands of Elcoria. Before them the nation had been a horrible barbaric place.
As the emperor turned into the gardens, he spotted his twin daughrters, aged 11, fighting over some matter or other. He rushed to them and split them up.
"What's this all about?" he demanded of them.
"Katherine stole my Unillia" stammered Elizabeth. Unillia was infact a small, fluffy unicorn toy. The emperor turned to the other girl and noticed she did have Unillia.
"Why did you take Unillia, Katherine?" questioned the emperor.
"Elizabeth had had it all morning... I wanted it for awhile..." Katherine whined.
"But Unillia is not yours. In fact, just the other day I remember you had a fight because you didn't even like unicorns! You have your own furry toy, why don't you get that?" The question was rhetorical, and Katherine knew that, even if she didn't know what rhetorical ment. She ran off to get Draggie, a small fluffy dragon toy.
The emperor continued his walk and came across one of the many rennovators.
"Good day, M'lord." started the rennovator, "What do you think of that plastering?"
"Very good, but I think you missed a spot in that corner." the emperor pointed to the offending bit of rough plaster. The rennovator peered intently at it.
"I see what you mean, M'lord. I'll get it right away.
"Good, keep up the good work." replied the emperor, and he walked away, whilstling a hymn.

OOC-My posts were not that good because I was busy. Your example post is excellent! I don't want to plagarise or anything but can I use that post? If not, I'll try to make my own. Awesome post!

*blush* That was just something I scrabbled together without much effort, you can use it if you want (I stole YOUR storyline for it) but I'd probably put some more detail into the mosaics and possibly change the bit about the rennovator. Though that's your choice.

I hereby donate my previous post to Elcoria

The Emperor went to the spiritual advisor of his family, John Svetlanov (may change) in the Chapel. John was checking on the iconostasis, making sure the icons were well kept. John saw the Emperor and said ''Greetings, Your Majesty. How has your day been?''

''Quite well, Bishop Svetlanov. I am sure your day has been too.'' the Emperor replied. ''It has been a good one.'' John commented. The Emperor looked at the icons and said ''I see you are polishing the icons.'' John said ''Yes I am, but with help from a friend.'' Out stepped Princess Nadezhda, one of the teenage daughters of the Emperor. ''Hello, dad.'' Nadezhda said, holding an icon of the Theotokos.

''It is nice to see you are helping the clergy.'' the Emperor said. After a while, the Emperor left and continued his walk, whistling as he did.

heh.. sorry to seem to stick words in your mouth. But knowing most political/religious/social/economic groups, they'll lie, or at least bend the truth, to make themselves look better.

BTW: a much better job, keep up the good work!

I understand, Krendakov. I accept your apology. Also, thanks for your compliment! I'll do more soon as soon as I think of something.
