IZNC: The large majority of the Imperial Zarustran Armed Forces (IZAF) were on the move last night in what will be the largest scale deployment in modern times.

Large numbers of troops, armour, naval vessels and aircraft are being moved to established and temporary staging points on the West Coast, as the tension over the seccession of the Isle of Man elevates in temperature.

The Government would not comment on the deployment, except to restate the official line that the Isle of Man was still regarded as Zarustran Territory and the situation would be treated like a terrorist situation.

Craig Redbrick, Communist MP for Norwich East, criticised the government in its moves. "The Isle of Man has simply broken away from capitalist, imperialist oppression and set up its own worker's state," he protested. "Under our parties policies, all satellites of the Empire would be given autonomy in managing their own affairs, as would the Zarustran homeland as a whole."

There are also unconfirmed reports that the IZAF is deploying both prepared and liquid chemical weapons to the West Coast for use in a potential invasion. The Government did not comment on the matter, stating National Security issues.

Kraven Threat Identified, Parliament Votes 'Aye' on War Powers

The Imperial Zarustran House of Parliament, where MPs yesterday voted almost unanimously in favour of the War Authorisation Act

IZNC: The Prime Minister yesterday addressed the House of Paliament and provided MPs with a shocking view of the development of the Isle of Man situation.

Intelligence gained from "outside sources", according to Prime Minister Desoto, had identified an approaching fleet from the Kraven Corporation, intent on deploying upon the Isle of Man.

Speaking to a stunned House for an hour and a half, the PM outlined the dangers of allowing Kraven a satellite on the coast of the Empire as a "severe threat to national security." The Government then tabled a War Authorisation Act vote, which passed 594-6.

The few MPs who voted against the Act, all from the Zarustran Communist Party, criticised the government for "inventing a threat to the Socialist Republic in order to create a flimsy excuse to invade," according to MP Brian Hughes for Teesdale West.

According to Zarustran Law, the War Authorisation Act must be voted upon by Parliament to release the Emperor's authority as Commander-in-Chief to declare war and control the Armed Forces.

Parliament may rescind this authority at any time, effectively allowing themselves to declare peace whenever deemed neccesary.

The War Authorisation Act was one of the elements outlined in the Treaty of London following the Zarustran Civil War in the 1940s.
