NationStates Technological Design and Art!

Well, Lineartinc and The Draftroom have finally merged together into one single group of fora, ranging from design, to discussion on strategy, to lineart and 3D art, and now even a general forum. This calls for a brand new thread to offer this to the rest of NationState's players. So, what exactly is our purpose? The NS Draftroom was at first a board built for technical discussion on NationStates design; mostly armaments. It was an attempt to offer players a chance to get their designs reviewed to avert later accusations of godmod, et cetera. It turned out to be a hit. Lineartinc was a board to where one could draw these designs and get them critiqued - hopefully to improve. It also turned out to be a phenomenon. Lineartinc appeared first, and the Draftroom was based off it - unfortunately, the Draftroom also attracted a lot of its traffic, meaning Lineartinc lost much of its popularity. For that very reason the two were fused together, and now it offers a much more central location for all players to gather.
So, if you're interested in the following please join the Draftroom:
-Designing PT/MT/PMT/FT
-Drawing/Art
-Strategy & Tactics
-Engineering
-Concept Design
If you decide this is the place for you, well here is the link:

Remember, you must register under your full NationStates name. Sarzonia will do a check to see if you are from NationStates. Furthermore, there is an IRC channel located at irc.esper.net, channel #draftroom. There's at least ten of us there during the day [at least, day in the United States].

I've been planning on joining it for aaaages, I just never seem to have the time, or any designs worth critiquing.
**I promise to join the draftroom after my exams, so as to ensure any of my design(s) aren't a massive god-mod.**
Speaking of which, when I get version two of my "Uber-tank", I'd appreciate any advice macabee's... I've taken onboard a lot of what you said on the first one, and although I'm yet to sort out the write-up.

Northford, you should put the tank on the Draftroom! There are various people that have designed super heavies on there successfully. And many more that know about tanks in general.
Join the Draftroom, your local community of 14 to 16 year old, shy male geeks with military equipment fetishes who like political debate and try to appear as more tough and/or outgoing than they really are in real life, in which they spend much of their time glued to computer screens and TVs watching the entire Star Trek series on DVD!
I mean... hey wait a minute. Didn't I just succeed in describing the entire internet accurately? <.< >.>

Almost, remember, not all of us are 14-16, I believe the age on the draftroom gets up to like 40 :p

I believe the oldest ones there are Sarzonia, Temujinn, Isselmere, and a couple of other people, all of whom are twice the age of everyone else (you, me, SU, Krob, Matt, Willink, Omz, and so on). So the average is around 20 overall.

Um, Draftroom is a private forum, this is public, people may not want others on a public forum to be aware of their age.

If he told us his age on the Draftroom I don't think he cares... at all... given that a great many NSers are on the Draftroom anyways. If he does care, he can tell me and I will delete his age.

Exclusive new episodes of Newbtopian Comics gettum first on the NS draftroom, or not at all you miserable-
-Now their was a new player. A new ship. It was hailed to be the largest ship in the entire world. Some spectators said that it was several miles long and many miles wide, and nearly five hundred feet tall. Others say that a ship of that size is of no need. But all know that this would bring anyone to its knees. The true size of the ship is almost ten miles in length. Five Miles wide. And almost fourteen hundred feet from the very bottom to the very tip-top of the flag post. Now, this new ship was roughly shaped like that of an Aircraft carrier. Though, there are several things different. For one example, it has anti-sub capability along with anti-missile and anti-air. It's ballistic missles are a factor to consider. The five hundred super-cannons atop the deck have the range and firepower to not only hit a fly from fifteen hundred miles, but to destroy anything within five miles of the fly. This was based on the speculation of one cannon firing one shell. Inside the haul, the new ship could carry a record of five hundred aircraft. The ship was not built for games, it was built for war. Many have dubbed it the "Obliterator", or the "War-Stopper". Those names are highly suiting, but there is one name that shouted above all. This was the "Dominator."-
Is this feasible, or even going to work at all?
One of the things that I have come up with is a Three "V" design for the undercarrige of the ship. You know how most ships go down in a single "V" Shape (Yes I know that it bowls out.) Well I have though of a Way to distribute the weight through Three "V's". Two run along the port and starborn sides and a larger (wider) one runs down the center. Thus distributing the weight through three and not one.

Uh, I run the largest naval warship on NS at 1,920m long and 20 million tons..
Your description is that of a floating fortress, which is not a ship. My Hood, GMCMA's Yui, and various other incarnations of Supercapitals are widely accepted as the largest barrier between warship and floating fortress.
'The five hundred super-cannons atop the deck have the range and firepower to not only hit a fly from fifteen hundred miles, but to destroy anything within five miles of the fly.'
Not possible.
'This was based on the speculation of one cannon firing one shell.'
Um. Since when has a naval cannon fired less or more than one shell?
SO yes, what you are talking about is a floating fortress, NOT a ship.
And for your last idea, yes, that's called atrimaran, we have been using that for years, literally.
