Both cities have been subject to local rioting. The cause seems to be corporate involvement in the area, over small buisnesses vs. major corporations. The GianTeK Corporation moved into the area just a few years ago after rich mine deposits were found scattered along the coast between the two cities. Particularly cobalt and tungsten. Over these years GianTeK moved in and currently operates 98% of the mining activity. This has upset citizens as little money has entered the areas economy and has caused stagnant growth. All the metal is exported and has caused a deficiency of metallic ore used in local buisnesses. Though the government has been supplying equalization payments to the area, citizens still want more. Violence has be reported across the area against GianTeK's mines.

The current outlook is that the government will limit GianTeK's operations and most likley give the area its own government body in parliament. This means the creation of a province.

National emergency has been declared in Patra as reports of arsons have been reported.

The Aequatian Government would be willing to provide a security force to the cities of Patra and Korsha should your government forces require reinforcement in their duties.

Empire of Akhalla Foreign Ministry:

After reading about the reports of rioting and violence in these two cities. It has been decided to provide 500 (U.N) Peacekeepers to ensure that violence ends and that no hard measures are taken if the government approves.

Peacekeepers accepted. GianTeK however has begun to fight back with force against rioters, and currently Daolyth's police and HTS (Heavy Tactical Squads :mp5: ) have begun to move in on Korsha. GianTeK has refused to close down mines in the area and is appealing to the government thru the Northern Islands regional court.

U.N peacekeepers in blue berets stood in formation. There was three battalions equaling around about 600 U.N peacekeepers. They were armed with sidearms and AK-47s. They stood at attention as General Atari Dau saluted the President of Empire of Akhalla. General Atari Dau was going to be the head of this peacekeeping mission that included 20 transport trucks, armoured, and 6 G-wagons.

Troops and supplies was ordered onto aircraft and was headed towards Daolyth. The troops were mostly Muslim but their were Christian as well as other minorities.

Rioting has begun to die down. The government has acknowledged that the regions influence on minerals can only be decided on by a new division in parliament. As of 12:00pm tomorrow, the area will be turned into a province.

Patra has become the capital city of a new mainland coast province.
