Background: The Grand Miniahic Empire of Setian-Sebeceans had existed in its true form for over four thousand years. Its policies were debated by a Congress of Elected Representatives, and it was watched over by the immortal Patriarch Emperor, Furion Miniah. Through the years, wars passed, nations fell, and the Grand Miniah Empire remained. Her isolationist policies did keep her safe, but would spell her future, a bloody one.
Change occurred during the 4034th birthday of Emperor Furion Miniah, where during his speech he was killed in a bombing of the capitol of Ecliptia City. His enemies thought this would bring an end to his era. Instead of proving his mortality, his enemies made him a martyr. The soon learned that a God on Earth was nothing compared to a God in the minds of the people. They had created their worst enemy, and a religious was erupted. Billions lost their lives in the bombings of the 7 prominent worlds of the Imperium: Higar, Poth, Suenama, Homelef, Kushiriah, Gedda, and Tesibea. Smaller worlds declared themselves individual kingdoms with allegiances to the Imperial Chair or the Cult of the Eclipse. The war dragged on for just about one thousand years, with Sebecean space being protected by a massive isolation belt that kept their corner of space along for that time.
So many worlds were burned in the first stages of the war that many lived in hulks of old warships. The wilderness retook the wastelands of war, and where once glorious cities stood, primitive Sebecean survivors existed. Their brothers continued to fight in the cosmos, even though they lost what the meaning of the ancient sides stood for. That was the status quo for many years, well up to the discovery.
A band of Cult warriors happened to stumble upon the remains of the Ancient Imperial Home of Beasida. As they cut through the forest and into her courtyard, they were stunned by the beauty of her art. It was from there that a Brotherhood of Beasidans arose. They were unlike any warriors seen, and the technology they possessed was more advanced than that of the Pre-War Sebeceans. It was not long before the Brotherhood brought the Imperial Chair and the Cult to negotiations, and from there to form a Unified Consortium of the Three. A standard language was adopted, and primitive Sebeceans were wiped of their pasts and the People of the Three Before entered a new Golden Age.
It was not long after the Unification, that the priests of the Brotherhood began excavating materials from the long past. Maps and weapon designs, along with history and medical data. On one of those maps was a bit of information that brought the Sebeceans to a new mission- Fahriegtesien, a Consortial Word that loosely translates to Expedition and Crusade.
A ship approached its target, a grand gate that was recently discovered- the way for the Sebeceans to leave their cold prison. It bore the symbol of the old Imperial Princess, a talon in a flame, and was dubbed the Phoenix Well. It was the only way to travel past the ancient block of the Sebecean Sector. It was because of this gate’s discovery that this ship was here. She was a Bassar class Frigate, a ship that was known for its small size and large bite. However, it was what she had on the inside that made he powerful- a crew of the Augmented, a warrior branch of the former Brotherhood, and the current Consortium.
The ship approached the gate, and dead gate remained dead, that was until the Frigate began to scan it. The gate began to glow, and grabbed the Frigate and pulled it through and in a flash the Frigate appeared in an unknown region of space. Her sensors picked up many object, most natural but a few were not and one was a planet.

Onboard Deep Space Reconisance Station 1365B
Lieutenant Cromer stepped slowly into his office, if the tiny, sensor-crammed window room even counted as such, plodding across the metal deck of his station, he noticed a blinking icon on his communications screen.
"Finally, something to do..." he remarked sarcastically to himself.
Cromer took a seat in his small, simple metal rolling chair and pushed off the desk he was at, coming to rest in front of the blinking screen at his communications station. A little rapid button pushing and a password entered and he had the message. He gave it a quick look over, ran a short scan on nearby space, and returned an object about the size of a small ship.
Cromer had never heard of the Consortium in the naval academy before, he had never even read about them…
Cromer, as per naval guidelines, dispatched a short message to the nearest planetary command, who would send a second message to the Imperial Navy outpost on their planet, and they could either dispatch a fleet of their own, or carry on up the chain of command to the Segmentum fleets, who could dispatch entire Battlefleets to deal with the problem. He doubted this would be necessary however, for one little ship.
Office of Rear-Admiral Kadova, Naval Outpost 44357, three seconds later
A short, stubby ensign ran into Kadova’s office on the outpost, holding a tiny data pad, which he promptly handed over to the Rear-Admiral as he spoke,
"Sir, one of the nearby recon stations has reported the revival of a message from someone calling themselves the Consortium, here."
The man stepped back to let Kadova read,
To: Naval Outpost 44357, Rear Admiral Kadova
From: Sensors Lieutenant Cromer, Deep Space Reconisance Station 1356B
Subject: Consortium
Clearence: Gold-B
Message: I have, exactly seventy-one miniutes ago, picked up a message transmitted by a nearby ship of the Consortium. They have invaded our space and offer the following message;
<Enclosed file>
I have deemed this of importance enough to show you, who have at your disposal the resources enough to react.
When Kadova looked up he wore an expression of slight frustration, and slight relief.
"Life here was getting a little boring, was it not ensign?" Kadova looked back down at the message, skimming it a second time to make sure he did not miss anything, "Yes, alright lad, order Captain Okrusko to ready his men, I want him on the scene in the next ten miniutes, at the least. Then order anyone you see left to ready my own ships, we will depart shortly, GO!"
The ensign, who had been nodding and making agreeable faces at whatever his commander said, ran back out of the room, gathering anyone if importance together and relaying Kadova's orders to someone who may actually know who Okrusko was…
Onboard the
Divine Flash, twenty miniutes later, moving out of orbit of the planet Aurora.
The large Exorcist class Grand Cruiser clumsily lurched its way out of the gravity of their base planet and away from their orbital dockyards. Slowly, the gigantic ship began to round the small temperate green planet, to bring itself into full view of the tiny intruder.
The commander if this ship was Captain Okrusko, a forty-three year old war veteran, who had spent considerable time out on the western fringe battling the xenos infiltration there four years ago. He had been in command of this ship for almost his entire professional career as an officer and knew the limits of every man onboard it. Although this new mission was viewed by his as a slightly mundane mission for his own skill, he knew that there were reasons for everything and he should not grow over-confident.
His sensors officer turned to him, "Sir, a small ship is coming into view off the starboard side, you want it up on screen?"
The Captain gave a quick nod to the young man before turning back to the main screen, which now gave him a veiw of a strange looking little ship, floating along through his space, These must be the Consortium lads… he though to himself.
"Provindk, bring us about to face that craft, and within a two hundred kilometers, half-speed." He turned, "Jovis, compose a little message, let those boys were coming and we want to know what the hell their doing, quick!" Again he turned, "Gergio, ready third company marines, order them dressed and briefed on our situation, I want them ready to board within the hour."
Okrusko sat back in his seat, watching his obedient crew hustle around, completing their tasks...It made him proud to be a Captain for His fleet, this feeling was enforced further by the presence of the ship Commissar, Dimiter, standing tall in his black greatcoat, next to his seat, overeating the loyalty of the crew and captain.
To: Consortium Frigate, Kah’Tahr
From: Captain Okrusko of the Imperial cruiser Divine Flash
Subject: Stand Down
Message: This is Captain Okrusko of the Imperial Exorcist class Cruiser Divine Flash, and you have entered Imperial Space. Please stand down your ship and prepare to be borded for inspection. Move and you will be fired upon.

The Augmented Captain scanned over his data about the system they were it. The local forces did not worry the ship as much as the fear of never returning home, but even that was a minor concern. He suddenly felt pushing sensation on his temple, and quickly thought about it as a screen appeared in front of him displaying a response from local forces. This was a situation he had, however, never found himself in and reacted in the typical manner of an Augmented Captain: Show your Teeth.
The Captain brought the ship up on battle stations and issued orders to his men by placing commands into their consciousness. The quarter mile Frigate turned toward the incoming local vessel, as its gun ports and turrets swiveled towards the coming ship. The Captain, who had no understanding of what they really asked for, ordered the ship to fire three energy bolts over the Imperial ship's bow.

The Divine Flash, seconds after receiving hostile transmission
The massive ship immediately opened fire on the small hostile craft, as per attack protocols. No order was necessary, everyone knew their duty and preformed it well, dozens of massive port and starboard weapons rotated to forward firing positions, firing many times in rapid succession at the enemy ship. Following the initial wave of lasers was a larger energy bolt, designed to know out enemy shields, and after that, think Armour. The energy lance, for that was what it was, materialized in front of the long rod protruding from the massive think armored prow of the vessel before disappearing, moving at blinding speed, in the direction of the foreign ship.
The lance fire was followed by more heavy laser fire, to impact the ship, after the lance will have, in hope, brought down the shields. Following this, another lance, and a third laser battery. The gunners and officers settled into a smooth routine, fire, wait, fire, wait. Hopefully this would not take long.
Another aspect of the ship were its hangar bays, holding hundreds of small fighter and bomber craft. They were emptied soon after the ship was detected, and sent in for the attack as soon as the enemy ships weapons fired. The tiny single-pilot Fury attack ships would attempt to engage and destroy point-defense weapons obvious on the shell of the ship, while the larger Starhawk bombers would deploy thousands of tons of solid and plasma ordinance onto the exposed and defenseless hull. The plan was clear, the execution was precise, and the only thing in the way was the enemy itself...

Enemy weapons fire impaced the ships layer shields, but still rocked the ship back and forth. The were doing some progress on the shields, but not enough to worry the Augmented, for what they were about to do.
The Frigate slightly ajusted its nose, and her engines powered up, sending her closer and closer to the enemy. The Augmented knew a Bassar could fight at a distance, but against this foe, upclose was best. The Kah’Tahr returned fired, targeting the bridge of the ship. She was fast and painful. They knew they had to hold off for as long as another hour. The Consortium would be sending a Incursionary Fleet, and they now had a new target this petty empire. No matter, the Kah'Tahr fired warheads and as her sheilds began to fail, her hull began to glow as her 'immune system' was shuffling broken energy to her Energy-Sinks. Her sinks were already a bright white, and they illuminated the ship to make it as an angel- which Tahr means. They could hold off better if they could wrap and board the enemy ship- and they headed in.

Bridge of the Divine Flash, seconds after Frigate charge
Captain Okrusko held his ground, in fact, with a reassuring glance up at his Commissar, he ordered the massive cruiser to be brought about to face the coming frigate head on. The hugely armored prow of the ship began the slow crawl forward, gaining speed as it went. A single order was issued, not from the Captain but from Dimiter, his Commissar.
"Ramming Speed"
A red light somewhere began to flash and the ship jumped forward, engines kicking in and throwing them into a faster pace. They were closing fast with the smaller ship; weapons still firing, attack craft still strafing the surface of the frigate.
As the two ships approached one another, a simple message was sent to the planetary command in the orbiting space docks on the other side of the planet.
To: Aurora Planetary Command
From: Captain Okrusko, Divine Flash
Clearance: Gold-A
Subject: Consortium Attack
Message: We are under attack by the Consortium Frigate recently spotted entering the system. Their weapons are moderate, but their shields are strong. We have begun a ramming action, request assistance from Garrison Fleet.

The Augmented Captain was familier with this tactic, the charge. Whoever broke off first lost, and he was not about to lose to an inferior. However, being a Augment, he had a vast number of tools at his disposal and he knew them well.
The Frigate continued to head towards the enemy cruiser, when noise and static erupted from the Kah'Tahr. Sensor screens were useless as the Frigate jammed all EM Signatures. She turn about her axis and small turrets began firing slugs at the strike crafts as she moved closer into the cruiser. The Captain knew the rules to the charge, but he knew he could not last against a larger foe. As the ships neared closer, the Augmented took advantage of their high gee tollerences and the manuevrablity of the frigate. The Kah'Tahr, reversed her thrust and lined up- they were going to board.

Meanwhile, the newly constructed conquest ship of the Consortium, the Kaitahn Crusadeship was near full crew compliment and was to be launched within the year. It was to be sent through the massive Pheonix Gate to spread the Civilization of the Sebeceans to all. It was when they discovered Pheonix Gate 14 years ago that her construction began, and a few years latter a few more were put into production. But she was born first, and is tens of miles long, and contained millions of Augmented crusaders- a home away from home. Her crew did not know of the encounter, but it seems they would discover their new target. However, a smaller battlefleet of Kawar Destroyers and Bassar Frigates was nearing the gate to establish a beach-head and a possible outpost station.
OOC: The key thing about these people is that they dont have a common sense about negotations. They also do not know how to get back from the other side of the gate, hence the purpose of the Crusadeship.

Bridge of the Divine Flash, seconds after Frigate charge
Captain Okrusko layed one hand on the top of his command chair for support as he spoke, "Keep the ship steady, ensign, adjust course as nesecarry, we're ramming them, if they like it or not."
The large ship kept it's sights on the smaller craft. The frontal weapons batterys kept up the fire, supporting the slowly dwindling number of escorts. The single-man fighters were dodging alot of fire, but the enemy weapons were accurate, and they took casualties. They were determined and dedicated though, and kept the assault up.

The Augmented Captain looked around, they might not make a successful formate- but nomatter they would go down in a flash. He found it slightly humorous that the Kah'Tahr's energy-sinks would amplify any detonation. However he did not dwell on this for long, and turned to his plan. The Kah'Tahr could still make a successful dock and breach on the enemy cruiser, but her chances had been cut in half- it would take master piloting. The Captain thought a speech and it was broadcasted into the minds of his crew [via their augmentations], he then locked himself in his seat as his consciousness took control of the Kah'Tahr. It felt cold, but warmed to his presence, and he put the Kah'Tahr in its corrected position- the last ajustment before contact...
The boarding party preformed a ceremonial war dance, and sang in Consortial in unison: In the name of the Consort Three... let their spear cut their shield... let their bowels tremble... let them be envious at their death... let their children see... let our power speak... let us cut them to three... let whisper rattle in our hearts... let us convert or butcher!

The Divine Flash, combat above Aurora
Captain Okrusko and his crew did their best to keep the Divine Flash aimed directly towards the enemy, presenting the massive armoured prow, but the small alien ship was more manuvarable and was able to slide to the left and out of the way at the last second before impact, narrowly missing the edges of the bleached white prow.
The Captain slammed his fist down on the top of the chair, "Damn! Little bastards dodged the damn ship!" He stopped for a second, sitting back down, "Bring us to a stop, initiate a full portside barrage, target enemy center, full power!"
As the crew began the course adjustments and weapons began to fire, the captain began muttering to himself, "How do you dodge a ship, it's a damn big peice o' hardware...god damn it..." Nobody paid any attention to him as they went about their tasks.
Seconds later hundreds of laser cannons and missile launchers opened up into the small frigate, aimed squarly at the center of the ship.
As the attack begun, a group of smaller ships was seen emerging from the opposite side of the planet, coming at full speed into range of the xenos craft. Included in this group were six Cobra class destroyers and at least a hundred small armed luxury liners and freigters, followed by even smaller craft with even larger frontal weapons. This defense fleet had just put out from the local spaceyards, and was fully breifed on the engagment up untill now, and was prepared well.
They charged at top speed at the frigate, and would begin to fire as soon as they closed three hundred kilometers. It was expected to end quickly.

The Augmented Captain felt the pain of the enemy rounds on the shields. They were losing strength and more energy slipped through and was being dumped into energy-sinks which were nearing failure. But, in this near sign of destruction, the Kah'Tahr exicuted its most powerful plan. The flow of the energy-sinks was directed through a field of small debris between the ships. Pure electrostatic energy was dumped on to the enemy shields in a formation to creat a small hole for a small amount of time.
The Captain knew these would probably be his last moments, but it was worth it only if he could get a good number of the Augmented on the enemy cruiser. He held the ship in it's position and modified the shield to try to absorb as much of the energy as possible to dump into the enemy shields. They only needed a few seconds...

"Sir, They're doing something to the sheilds, port side!" The young ensign shouted over his shoulder as he watched the small image of the ship, encircled by a blue ring, the sheilds. The blue ring near the little red dot that was the xeno frigate, was becoming dangerously thin.
The Captain looked up from his mutterings to the ensign, "Well, make 'em better! I don't want those types on my ship!"
Sheild strength was raised on the port side, but it was to no avail. The enemy assaults broke through the large sheilding, simply overloading it to the point of failure. There would be a split-second gap in the sheilding before emergency power would bring the sheilds back up.

The sheer processing speed of the Augmented allowed them time to fire two of the eight pods into the side of the ship. They carried four Augmented Crusaders each. The pods latched onto the ship, and with a battering ram head at the speed of their approach dented the hull. The pod computed programed and spread material consuming Nanites on a small surface of the hull- enough to let the Crusaders through.
The Kah'Tahr broke off, and began to move towards what seemed to be the Bridge and began firing heavy cannons on it, at only 4 meters away. However strike craft were causing the energy-sinks to glow again. One of the sinks began to fail and was ejected at 1000 gees and detonated with the force of 20 megaton nuclear device [due to the mass amounts of energy it absorbed]- and shot space debris everywhere.

The small nuclear blast gave the portside crewmembers a small jolt, but nothing else. That was the least of their worries right now, red alarms were flashing, klaxons were screeching their warnings to everyone. They were being boarded.
Jogging up and down the hallways were officers, "Get a Stormtrooper team over there, get those hatches locked, pool defense in Cathedral area, close off access to decks seventeen through twenty one, contain these boarders!"
In seconds after the impact the ships compliment of Stormstoopers, 10,000 soldiers, were roused and armed. First, Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Companies were deployed to the closed decks, one to each deck, and began setting up defensive perimiters around the side of the ship the boarders were coming from. However, these manouvers and preperations would take time, and the fear was that the enemy would come upon them as preperations were being made.
As for the enemy ship, the bridge was heavily armored and well protected by hundreds of point defense systems, laser cannons, and missile launchers. The attacks would be supplemented by portside weapons such as the remaining heavier weapons batterys and lance armaments. The tiny ship, especially with the reduced defensive capabilities after the ejection and battering they have already taken. All this plus the continued weapons fire from the six Cobra destroyers and hundreds of System and Monitor ships, this enemy was finnaly to be defeated.

The Kah'Tahr, in realizing her mortallity, decided to take a epic approach to her death. The Augmented Captain, who had merged himself with the ship, activated the skipper drive, and sent the ship at the bridge of the Crusier. The light was all the crew of the Kah'Tahr saw, and they ceased to exist as the crippled frigate rammed the crusier.
The Augmented Crusaders felt the jolt of the impact, but they did not worry. The nanites were boring into the hull, and had about and inch left to eat through. The Crusaders were taking their last perparation as they injected a special hormone into their suits which replicated it and intoduced it into the body. They grabbed their rifles and devices, and checked that their suits' weapons were functional. It did not take long, but the were ready and chunks of hull plating began to fall off. The ships atmosphere poured into the pods, and the Crusaders began tearing away the remained of the hull as they tossed cuncussion grenades into the hallway. They stepped on board the ship, and began firing on the ship's defenders with the firepower of many men.

The small cruiser caused the quick evacuation of the bridge and command towers, but it was too late. Many thousands of crew died as the enemy ship plowed through the sheilds and crashed into the bridge, tearing off the top of the ship. The tower's remaining decks were sealed and their crew were evacualted as well. It was like a headless beast, still moving at half speed foreward into space.
Meanwhile, on the lower decks, the Stormtroopers nearest to the walls were stunned by grenade explosions before being gunned down by xenos weapons. Their brothers held their positions, however, firing their las-weapons at the suited invaders. Every now and then, someone threw a fragmentation grenade, but it was not widly adopted in the ships hallowed halls.
These soldiers were dying where they stood, standing fearless before the assault. As each died a cry went up, echoing through the enclosed metal spaces, "I DIE In HIS NAME!", and so they did. None of these first two platoons survived, but their concentrated fire and occasional grenades could not have gone unnoticed.
Also, even as these platoons fell, four more rose up to take their place. This was not going to be an easy victory for these xeno warriors.

The Crusaders took a few flesh wounds, but their augmentations cut blood flow [which the blood was more nanites than cells] and began pumping a nanite foam to repair the area. They did not think to much at butchering the enemy, but were slightly impressed by their devotion to their Consort, but they still began cutting off their heads and limbs. They then placed the limbs near where they had entered into the Cruiser. The Commander of the team programmed a command into the pods, and they all attached themselves to the sturdiest parts of the hall. The pods detached, and the limbs and atmosphere of the ships quadrent vented into space.
Meanwhile, the Beach-head Crusade fleet neared the Pheonix Gate, and they would be on the otherside, soon.

The stormtroopers were unaffected by the loss of oxygen, as each carried on him a breathing mask and a few hours supply of oxygen, but all the auxiliary crew members not yet evacuated were dead in minutes. Nobody noticed, however, as the sections were already sealed off.
The Stormtroopers set up a new defensive perimiter, already nearly completed by the platoons not just involved in combat, where they would make a second stand. Each of the two hundred new warriors was ready, and willing, to die for the ship and their commanding officers. The fight was just begining...
As for the xenos pods outside the ship, as they began adjusting position on the hull, point defense lasers opened fire, having recovered from the nuclear shock. The thousands of tiny lasers and missiles were expected, judging by experience with the previous ship, to destroy the pods quickly.

Two Crusaders engaged any remaining defenders in the flooded section of the ship. The rest began placing charges on the sealed bulkheads, hoping that the massive pressure change would cause explosive decompression in more zones of the ship. If that did not work, they were prepared to eat through the doors. The Crusaders were making the Ancestors of the Sebeceans proud.
The Pods were useless when they detached, and the warship's cannons tore them to shreads. But as they destroyed the pods, the Beach-head Crusade Fleet entered, and fired on the fresh enemy warships. As they fired, the hulls moved and morphed into battle position, showing their teeth. Missiles and Cannon bolts were spewed from the Fleet. As they fired, a message was sent to them...

The remaining two hundred Stormtroopers engaged the two attacking aliens from behind defensive positions, firing heavy machine guns and autocannons into their xenos pressure suits. Every man stood, firing in unison, targeting one enemy, them the other. Failure was not an option.
Meanwhile, captain Okrusko was sitting in his chair on the auxillary bridge, as an evacuation was forced of the normal station. "Damn, what the hell is this!" The captain shouted as the enemy fleet appeared on the main screen, "Quick," he said turning to his command's astropath, "Relay the following message to sector command; This is Captain Okrusko of the Exorcist class Grand Cruiser Divine Flash, orbit above the planet Aurora, I am engaging a xenos fleet and requst aid. Planet in jeapordy, please make haste!"
The message was sent, and then received, by sector command in seconds. Dispatched in support of Okrusko and the planetary forces was Admiral Rose's 3rd Battlefleet. The fleet would be ready to move and loaded in hours and depart soon thereafter. However, due to the fickle nature of the warp they could arrive anythime, from seconds after the captains distress call to centuries after the planet had fallen. Until then it would be up to the Divine Flash, her six accompanying Cobra class Destroyers, and the hundred or so System Ships and Monitor craft to save this planet.
They begin this as soon as the xeno ships were spotted, opening with a heavy laser and missile assault from the Divine Flash and fifty system ships, followed by a salvo of huge torpedoes from the frontal tubes of the fifty Monitor ships and Cobra destroyers. This assault would be followed by a lance broadside from the Exorcist, and another torpedo and weapons barrage from the smaller ships. The battle would be tough, but these ships were ready for it.

The Crusade fleet spread into a giant grid facing the approaching fleet. The Ships focused their fire on the smaller and weaker ships. They were going to take out the weak and hope that the strong would try to cover for the injured. The Destroyers and Frigates let all out, the will of billions of Sebeceans. Their shields were up and took the spread out mass of fire, protecting what was behind them: the Beach Head Station.
The Station was being set up, it was unfolding, and massive sheets of many pods of Augmented Crusaders in stasis lock. They were vulnerable, but once the station was completed they would be resurrected: An army to convert the planet blow and the galaxy beyond.
The station hurried to get its Port Shield up; a massive shield that would protect the station and the sheet-pods from enemy fire. That was their main concern, and the Fleet continued to fire on the enemy, as the destroyers began to fire a Missile-Fighter Flak Screen.
On the Enemy warship, the two Augmented soldiers were taking alot of damage. Their position were full of ammunition, and some of their minors systems were shutting down. Leuk-warm blood and a brown liquid began to leak from them. They were slowly going down, but they did not fail, and the explosive charges went off on the bulkheads. The Crusaders in their positions, hoped in would work.

Combat in Aurora System
The defense force of the planet Aurora Prime, one of three habitable planets out of the seven of the Aurora system, was having a hard time doing very much anything against the newly arrived threat. Each ship was holding positions, under orders from captain Okrusko to avoid close contact with any xenos ships. It was now known the toughness and proficiency of their warriors, and the fleet preferred to take their chances at ranged engagement.
All ships have now turned their heavily armored prow towards the aliens, and took the brunt of their attack on this near impenetrable area. The Imperial return fire was a veritable wall of torpedoes, missiles, lance batteries, and gigantic laser cannons from every ship in range, including the Divine Flash.
Meanwhile, on the Divine Flash itself, the fighting was going badly. More so after the explosives ripped their huge hole through the bowels of the ship. This craft was extremely solid, simple construction, but damage was done. An even larger hole was blown through the outer hull, and four separate decks were damaged, with holes through the floor, ceiling, or both. Oxygen was vented from these sectors and the decks were sealed, condemning everyone within to death, which each openly accepted as their own personal sacrifice to the Emperor on Earth.
And while all this was going on, the command structure of this segmentum was whirring with this new information. The 3rd Battlefleet had already been dispatched, but some officers did not believe that this was going to be enough. Preparations were made to mobilize a second fleet, which would be accompanied by an Imperial Guard Crusade, to act in defense of the planet.
The final act of the Segmentum Command was to initiate a search, a massive search, through all of the databanks, all of the histories, and every exploratory log in the Archives. This was a huge task, and would take even an army of men hundreds of years to complete, but it had to be done. This xeno's world had to be located, and it would, somehow, eventually...

The Crusade Fleet held positions, with their cannons flinging projectiles to the enemies. Their flak systems took care of most of the missiles, with a few causing damage. Along with vollies of missiles and bolts, the fleet began emitting a cloud of sand sized nanites. Energy stored in the energy sinks of the ships was released into the cloud and spread to other ship.
It was not only a energy distributor, but soon energy arch-cannons floated in the net. They were charged by bolts that look like lightning, and fired soon after. But as the fleet fired, parts of the cloud began to form a face, and soon the nanites changed color to add to the detail.
Message lasers were fired on the hulls of the enemy ships, vibrating them to create sound. The face moved as it spoke, and in the language of the enemy he spoke to them, "Let all who fight against the Armies of the Consort come to beleive in the Unity which we bring. Submit, and your lives will all be spared- if you do not, I hope only that your petty sovereign can grant you eternal unity and happiness."
The ships of the Consortium bore the letters of Consortial Sebecean, their language. It was new and so much different from the language of that empire that collapsed and locked the door... not to protect themselves, but to protect those who would stray in and see the terror that lived inside the Sebecean Sector... where ever that may be...

Combat in Aurora System
Captain Hladkil, the man in command of the Cobra class destroyer Final Rest of the Virtuous, was in command of the fleet defense of Aurora Prime. He, despite the huge battle being fought outside his central viewing port, sat relaxed in his command chair. Without even looking up he offered his simple solution to the enemy propaganda that was blaring through his ship.
"Commissar Gretch, order your contingent on patrol. Kill anyone who stops to listen to the xenos lies." Now, as Gretch leaned down to relay the captains orders to his underlings, Hladkil turned to his communications officer, "Ensign whats-your-name, begin playing a repeating track of devotions. Whichever ones suit you, just make it...inspirational..." The ensign turned, nodded quickly to the captain, and returned to his screens and began creating the message. It was played through every speaker in the ship at maximum volume, everywhere in the fleet, in a continuous loop.
Carry the Emperor’s will as your torch, with it destroy the shadows
To admit defeat is to blaspheme against the Emperor
Prayer cleanses the soul, but pain cleanses the body
There is only the Emperor, and he is our shield and protector
Better crippled in body than corrupt in mind
If a job’s worth doing it’s worth dying for
Only the awkward question; only the foolish ask twice
Pain is an illusion of the senses, despair an illusion of the mind
Success is commemorated; Failure merely remembered
Only in death does duty end
No man died in His service that died in vain
Ruthlessness is the kindness of the wise
Heresy grows from idleness
Fear denies faith
Serve the Emperor today, tomorrow you may be dead
The blood of martyrs is the seed of the Imperium
Needless to say, the xeno propaganda had no effect on the crews of the monitor fleets.
Outside of the ships, fire was returned, again and again, over and over. Every Imperial captain was confident in their ships heavily armored prows and effective shield technology ability to absorb and shrug off the enemy attacks. No damage was done to the fleet, save for a single converted freighter, which was now falling onto orbit above Aurora in several pieces. Her comrades knew that the men and women there died in service, and nothing but respect was felt for them.

The massive face was desolved into the greater cloud, but the audio message continued. Just loud enough to beheard if one focused. They voice preached the various texts of the Consortium, and showed what could come from 'Unity'. The warship, did not stop firing. They were not getting anywhere, but neither were the enemies.
The Crusaders onboard the enemy ship, moved quickly in the cleared sectors. They sought only one thing- A computer terminal or outlet. If they could just get the basics of the enemies computer language they may beable to create an entity to be downloaded. But as the fight continued outside, they looked upon the jagged edges of the ship for just one wire or fiber.
"And Aerahur said to the warriors,'Your weapons serve only to devide us. Our roots go deeper, and if we could unite, we could thrive. So, I ask you, find in yourself that line that runs deeper than blood... find Peace sons, Peace in Whisper.'"

Combat in Aurora System
Again, the propeganda of the enemy served no purpose save for a waste of their power and energy. These futile attempts would have amused the captains of the afflicted ships, were they not still focused on the battle at hand. A battle which was proving more aggrivating than expected... Another volly from the forward weapons batteries and torpedo shafts was unleashed from the small Imperial ships, in response to the enemy attacks which had so far subdued or destroyed three small monitor ships which now floated aimlessly around space.
The battle would continue as long as there were men to fight it. There would be no retreat, no consolidation, no defeat. Every man would die where he stood and know he did so for the honor of himself and his Emperor.

The fleet was going to have to stop soon, not because damage on the ships was taking a toll, but the redirection of energy was causing some small problems on some of the ships. They were not clear from afar, but the crews could tell. If they could by a few minutes, they would be alright.
The entire fleet then stop, all weapons were silenced, and the last rounds could be going down range and impacting. The fleet took the incoming fire, and directed it to shields, as a communications wave was sent out. It offered a temporary halt of hostilities over a small meeting. After it was sent, the ships took the hits, and waited for them to respond.

Combat in Aurora System
Every single captain in the garrison fleet received the peace message, and all dismissed it immediately. Not even a second’s pause was detected in the relentless fire of the Imperial fleet. There would be no peace, these xenos had attacked and killed subjects of the God-Emperor, attempted to subjugate through propaganda the survivors, and now wanted peace! Nothing would change, firing would continue, whether they would respond or not. It made it easier to destroy them anyway...
