~The following is live feed from the swearing in of newly appointed Meteoras President Jamie Hitashi~

"......landslide victory. Extremely popular candidate, Jamie Hitashi is now ready to make his speech after just having been sworn in as the first President of Meteoras. Let's listen in..."

Jamie stepped up to the podium, looking out over the sea of reporters with intermitant flashes of light momentarily blinding him as they took pictures. Outwardly, his appearance was very calm and collected. He smiled that charming smile, the one he had perfected over the years and placed his papers infront of him, cleared his throat, and then began.

"Thank you very much all of you. I'm delighted to be standing here before you today in a position that no one has ever occupied before. I think you'll all agree with me that today is a day of many firsts and a chance to make great history here in Meteoras. As you well know, I am here for one reason and that is to help guide this country on it's way along the world stage. Having finally been recognized as a country on such a plateau, is truly a remarkable thing that we as a people have accomplished. It is somthing that everyone should reap the benefits for and that is exactly what I propose to do. Before having any significant role in the world stage, we have suffered a great deal, we have gone without a great many things, but I can now promise you that those things will change, and those changes take place today!

They say first impressions are everything and in politics it's truly important. Our first objective as a country will be to form relations with others in an effort to show the world what we can bring to the table. And don't sell yourselves short. We have a great deal to offer. It is you, the people, who have made this country what it is and it is up to you, the people, to decide what it becomes.

Today is a day of celebration, as will the days to come. I am honored to represent you, and I vow to do my part so that all of these good things may continue.

Thank you for your time...."

"So there you have it, President Jamie Hitashi, extending warm thanks to the people of Meteoras as well as an invitation the other countries to open the lines of communication with this newly found country. As to wether or not President Hitashi's success will last, or campaign promises will be kept, only time will tell. As for supporting cast members, President Hitashi will be naming his cabinet members in a press conference either today or tomorrow, along with an outline and timeframe for some of his policies. And of course we will keep you updated as things progress, but for now, a spirited evening. For MLN News, I'm Katrina Dobson, reporting to you from Midvale Supreme Couthouse."
