In the meterlogical station in Dili it was noticed that a Hurricane was turning off the NE coast of Timor Leste Island. The Hurrican rotated in an extremely quick counter-clockwise rotation and it appeared that it was moving at least at 150 miles per h maybe even 175 m/h.
The lead meterologist picked up the phone and called the President.
Later that day, the Hurricane named Quro, hit the NE coast of Timor Leste Island. Rain resulted in 12 m high storm surges and flooding in that region where 140,000 people lived. The military was on elert for when the Hurricane ended so they could search for survivors. As rain in wind tore off roofs people stayed in their houses of all kinds in fear as telephone lines. After four hours the wind began to die down and the sun began to appear and the military was called out to search the disaster.
Timor Leste Island Foreign Ministry:
A Hurrican Quro has hit our island nation today and after four hours it has stopped. We believe that it wasn't a direct hit but there is alot of damage and we believe we will need foreign assistance. The region that was hit holds 20 villages and about 140,000 to 200,000 people. Please help.
"A Catagory 5 Hurricane Struck the small island nation of Timor Lested Island today..."

Aztec National League
29-05-2006, 22:06
The Premier of the Aztec National League sat back in the chair of his office at the Grand Union Hall, listening to the news station on the radio. Although the media was generally regarded as fair, he still preferred the radio. Maybe it was a quirk in his personality, but the radio just seemed more interesting. The news was rather boring, Quetzalcoatl Nochtili (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Spectrechris/randy_castillo.jpg) thought...Nothing of much interest. Surprisingly, the most interesting story of the slow Monday holiday came during the weather report...
"A Class Five Hurricane has made landfall on various small islands in the Pacific. Most notably, the recently independent nation of Timor Leste Island has been hard hit."
Quetzalcoatl Nochtili knew what it's like trying to manage a new nation. Although the Aztec National League had been transformed into a world class super power, this doesn't mean they have a right to neglect the smaller nations of the international community. On the contrary, any powerful nation should set aside political differences and help the people. After all, lives are more important than politics.
The Premier quickly typed up a letter and sent it to Minister Dr. Darius Wellington (http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y50/Spectrechris/george.jpg) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He would know who to send it to.
To: The Foreign Ministry of The United Socialist States of Timor Leste Island

Subject: Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Aid
We have become aware of the blight that the hurricane has brought to your nation. I feel that it would be unacceptable if we were to let your nation struggle without any assistance. On behalf of Aztlán, I offer our help to your nation.
We will be willing to offer any medical and humanitarian services your people may need in the coming months. Furthermore, to keep the peace, we can deploy as many of our troops as peacekeepers and help prevent rebels from threatening your people and government. Also, if you need any assistance with rebuilding efforts, we would also be able to assist with that as well.
We hope that the aftermath of this disaster passes quickly.

Several more civilians were brought into the main hospital of the region that was affected by the disaster. So far from foreign aid and from over 500 soldiers who were scouring the villages for damage, luckily their had only been one fatality so far.
Radio ... Central command, we have a problem. Static ... we looked at three badly damaged houses and we have made a tragic discovery. static ... we have found 3 adults and 2 children. They are dead sir. static....
So the death toll from the hurricane had risen to 6.
The construction sight for the airbase was hit hard. The area was flooded and very muddy. The airstrip was completely filled with water and the barbwire fences and MG positions were all reaped apart. luckly no one was hurt but the damage was done. Now that this disaster has hit the construction took an even faster pace. In a couple of days the airstrip would be finished but it still wasn't going to be pretty.

We have both been hit hard by this hurricane. Are airbase has suffered terribly damage but we will finish it. Once the airstrip is finished larger amount of aid will be given out but for now food, medical supplies and water will be brought over by naval choppers. Peacekeepers well be sent to keep order in the destroyed areas of your country and doctors will be sent to care for the wounded. May god have mercy on the people that have died during this tragdy.
Phil Hite got off the helicopter. The sound of the engine was almost deafeining. Reports had come in that a small village was cut off by road connections and no one knew what was happening there. He went into what was left of the village. Whole buildings had simply been blown aside by the power of the hurricane. He walked around the village and found a group of 30 survivors.
"Hello. I'm Phil Hite. We are here to help you. If you come with us we will try and get you to safer points. Please tell me where are the others."
One of the group got up and advanced towards Phil.
" I think you should follow me", he said. Phil followed this man to the village centre or what was remained of it. The site he saw in front of him shocked and horrified him. At least 20 bodies were in the village centre.
"You asked where the rest of us were," said the man almost in tears,"they are now in heaven."
Phil knew he had to get a report to the Timor Leste officials.

TO:The Timor Leste Disaster Committee
From:Phil Hite, Head Of Londim Emergency Response Team
We have found a village that needs our help. However there is some very saddening news. We have found at least 20 dead bodies in the village and we suspect there may be more under the rubble. However we have found survivors who we plan to send to the nearest town to get help.
Seahawks and Ospreys came rumbling towards the mud pile that was suppose to be an airbase. They unloaded food, water, medical supplies and other items needed to help the survivors. Some of the choppers unloaded marines and there equipment. The Marines quickly loaded up the supplies in the Wolf HMMWV's and transport trucks. Several marine convoys moved out to various hit regions of the country.
Northeast:
Meanwhile a base was set up in the disaster zone area so supplies could be given out faster. There were several field hospitials to care for the wounded and the regular things you would find at a base. Hords of survivors desperate for food and water came to the base. Naval choppers flew in tons of supplies to the survivors non stop and each time they came the survivors cheered. The food and water was passed out to the huge crowd of survivors and everyone thanked the marines for helping them. It was moving sight.

Damage was beginning to be cleaned up after the hurricane. There was still 8 people missing and about 26 people killed from the Hurricane and the nation of Timor Leste Island thanks foreign nations for help in the assistance to deal with refugees.
Inside the embassy the newly instalde embassy respresantative Richard Westhoff was fast at work trying to get this situation under control. Outside the embassy TL citizens were still rioting against the goverment aggreeing to be a protcterate even after this terrible disaster. They surrounded the embassy gates chanting "go home foriegners!, go home foriegners!" Richard didn't know why they were doing this considering Ustia wasn't making TL a protecteroate. The embassy guards and marines had there riot control gear on and protected the embassy from being overruned by the mob of people. The guards yelyed in the loud speaker "leave this area at once! Ustia isen't making your nation a protectorate!" No one in the crowd was listening. they were all trying to break through the embassy gate entrance. The guards keep shoving them back but the crowd wouldn't quit.
Marine convoy:
Meanwhile The convoys made it to the villages affected by the hurricane. The food and water was passed out to the survivors and navy doctors took a look at wounded civilans. At every village marines brought order back to the towns and became police officers if you will. Jack was in charge of the marine convoy helping what was left of a village close to the NE coast. There wasn't much left. three bodys were found in the town square and under ruble. Five people were still missing.
The News that three more bodys had been found hit hard at the embassy. Almost as hard as the mob of TL citizens. There weren't enough people to keep the crowd back so Ospreys flew in with 100 riot control personal from the Riot Control Divison. They stood ready with less then lethal guns filled with tear gas and bag rounds. the crowd keep on shoving but thanks to the riot control divison they weren't geting through. Even with the help though if more anger TL citizens show up the embassy could be overruned.
