Leadership Coup in the Nation formerly known as Palermi]

[OOC: Introduction of the Lucchese Famiglia]

Salvatore clapped his hands together, and a great boom echoed across the square, perhaps the microphone had been tuned too loud after all. He grinned, sinisterly, and gazed out across the Square. He was standing on a Blacony, jutting out from an old 16th Century Gothic Building. His Family's House. The House of Lucchese. Below him were hundreds upon thousands of people, watching on in their seethign millions, waiting for their leader to speak. As soon as Sal clapped his hands, it had gone silence, it was time.
"Amici! Today we fulfil what is ours!" There was a roar of approval, and Sal's family administration looked on gleefully from the safety of the buidling. There was a great roar of approval from the crowd below, Sal's followers, the Family's followers.
"For years now, we of the Famiglia Lucchese, have led you towards your Destiny! We have guided you to Freedom! Today, today, all promises shall be fulfilled!" Sal waved his Hand in a grand Hitleresque motion, there was wild approval.
"Already, our Forces march on the Houses of Parlermo!! Even now they prepare to take what is ours!" More Screams from the crowd, as Sal pointed over the Cityscape to where gunshots were being heard.
" Amici! The Government Pigs can not stop us now! We are the People! And out voice will be Heard!!!!" More Screams.
"Amici! I urge you, join our brethen, seize what is ours! Go For---"
Sal froze, he had a sick feeling, his stomach felt totally Ice Cold. He was experiencing a warning of somekind, he knew what was going to happen. Looking down he saw a tiny red Dot illuminate his Pinstripe Suit.
[i]"Fotutto...." Sal breathed one word, before a bullet ripped into his shoulder, flinging him back to the side of the balcony. He gasped for air, as members of the crowd began to wail and scream, seeing their Leader Fall. It was hysterical, people shrieking and crying, pointing at where the Sniper must be. It was Chaos. And then Sal rose................

He took to the Mic and grasped it in both hands, his Closest Bodyguards, Sgarristas, helping him to his feet, there was no blood flowing from his 'wound'. He laughed, a loud maniacal laugh, and spoke to the Mic., as even then Guards were storming the house where the Sniper had shot from. Sal tore off his Jacket, exposing a bulky Flexible Kevlar vest. It was severely dented, and Sal would have a huge bruise, but he was alive and safe, for now.
"Amici!" He Called once More into the Crowds. " See how the cowards fight us? And still they Fail! Onwards! To Victory!" Sal's next words were drowned out by roars and shouts from the Crowd, as AKs were Distributed freely within the Melee, and Sal was taken down from the Balcony, to where this Family Capo's offered him words of appreciation and encouragement.

The Revolution had Begun.

[Outside the Houses of Palermo ( Governmental Residences), 10:58]

Alberto ducked as a burst of fire caught him off guard, slamming along the car he was covering behind. He breathed in deeply, reloaded, and fired another series of short bursts at the Windows with his AK-103. He and about 100 Others were part of Alberto's personal Sgarristi, they were all Made Men of the Family, and were heading up the attack on the Houses of Palermo, with still more Associates, about 1500, backing them still.
Alberto looked over at winked at a group of 5 Associates who were steadying their Aim and loosing off shots at the Houses. Suddenly Alberto had a tap on his Shoulder, and a Capo, Cesare Abbondieri, appeared beside him, clutching his Fedora, and brandishing a Beretta 93R.
"Heads up Al," He greeted him, ducking down under the car also.
"Hear that? Cesare gestured at the noise of cheers from the City centre.
"Sure Do Boss..." Al Chuckled.
"Good, we need to crack on with this, so those Fotutto's can get their share of the Glory." Al nodded his head in Agreement.
"Good, now get your men ready, Kapische?" Al gave a tip of his Fedora, and Cesare hurried on down the Line, readying his men for the assault.
5 Minutes later and it was time to go...............
Al and his group of associates and Made Men leapt forwards from cover, along with men all along the line. Heavier guns kept the window shootists busy, while the Luccheseans raced onwards. Alberto kept focused, as bullets licked at his feet, kicking up dust and ensuring some Associates behind him would be pushing up daisies before long. Upon reaching the wall he found that out of his group of around 20 men, comprising of Piccioti and Associates, 15 were still with him.
"Good, good you are still alive," Al laughed. "Now get the god-damn door open!" He yelled, pointing at a heavy oaken near to them. Two of the Associates rushed forwards carrying a brown satchel, they attached it to the door, and ran clear, with a shout of "Fire in the Hole!"

[2 Hours Later, Broadcast to the rest of the World]

Members of the rest of the World,
It is my duty to inform you that during this Morning, the Morning of the 29th June, we in the Nation Formerly known as Palermi, have enacted a Bloodless Coup over our cruel oppressors of the Fascist Government. We of the Lucchese Family have led our People to a great victory, and now we are independent from our Former Masters. Those that are still in the Country, and are Loyal to the Government, have 24 Hours to leave, after this, they will be hunted down.

We of the Lucchese Family look forward to a healthy and prosperous union with the Rest of the World, and hope for your full support as we a fledgling nation, spread our wings and take flight.

Thankyou,

Vito Abonndieri, Consigliere and Advisor to the Lucchesean Government and Famiglia.

Greetings, friends.

It is my pleasure to be the first to congratulate you on your recent rise to power in the nation formerly known as Palermi, and to recognize your clan as the rightful governing body of that nation. We shall be watching further developments within your nation with great interest, to be sure. We welcome the chance of dialogue between our two governing bodies, and would indeed propose a preliminary exchange of ambassadors as a means of setting the foundations for formal diplomatic relations between our two nations. I personaly would like to wish your family all the best, and successes in your future endevours.

Yours in arms,
Sylvanas Windrunner
