Entering Future tech

OOC: I feel like I've exhausted all of my potential in modern tech. I've RPed that for over 2 years, and I have begun to find it dull and repetitive.

As a result, I'm now going to be RPing future tech. I'm a trekkie so I'll RP in the Star Trek Universe with primarily Federation technology.

IC: 300+ years from now. The first orbital spacedock had been completed ahead of schedule. It had the repair facilities in addition to the docking and shipbuilding facilities needed for IDF's jump into being a space power.

The first ships of the fleet were 5 Miranda class destroyers being completed simultaneously.

They were the
ISS Miranda NCC-1
ISS Reliant NCC-2
ISS Saratoga NCC-3
ISS Majestic NCC-4
ISS Nautilus NCC-5

The ships were very fast with a maximum speed of warp 9.2 for 12 hours. They could sustain warp 8.5 for a very long period if needed. They had 4 photon tubes in addition to 6 type 7 phaser banks and 2 pulse phasers. The Miranda class were far from the greatest in the world, but they were very reliable ships that would anchor IDF's Starfleet.

One of the scout ships picked up the emenation of a ship that seemed like it was suppose to belong to TFU, but didn't meet the transponder coding for them. Sending a hail to the vessel that was to itself like a fly to a dinner plate.

Your design and drive system are familiar but you do not have a known transponder. We request to know who you are?

ooc: In the contect it was understood that ST stood for Star Trek(as it's a FT thread.)

We are newcomers to space exploration. We are decendents of the Israelites of Earth. We come from the Primus system.
We are located between Bajor and the Badlands. We are between the Federation and Cardassian borders.
We have begun the building of a space fleet so we can have interstellar commerce and expand to new worlds.
This ship, the ISS Miranda, is the first space destroyer we have commissioned. While our ship may appear to be a warship, our primary mission is exploration at this point.

We would like to ask who you are.

//EDIT: "oops" on the ooc in front, sorry about that one //

Inside a glowing red nebula, a Vaalite listening post floated on yet another boring day. The man inside was named Gustaf Colotev and he sat back in his chair, trying to catch some sleep. As he started to close his eyes, the console beeped, sending the man scrambling to the floor.

"Damn it, it must be those damned Admirals sending out wide-range bursts again," the man muttered to himself.

He went over what the transmission, the quality was very awful, but also interesting. This was the first time to Colotev's knowledge that unknown communications had been intercepted by a listening post. The young man wavered over the communicator, could this be a threat? or could it be just some poor sap sending out their first baby ship?

Colotev pondered, he made the sterotypical Vaalite decision and hit the red button, sending the first availible military ship to investigate the situation.

RCVF Nezerim, Crimson Vaalite Destroyer

Ship Master Nilatas went through the morning intelligence, as he had done every morning. But this week had been exeedingly dull. He skimmed the reports with blunt interest, but stopped as he saw a report of a new species.

"Interesting.. Helm, did you see this one?" he asked in his accent-laden voice.

"Yes, sir. I had hoped you would see that, plot already laid in, sir." the man replied in an eager tone.

The eagerness of the helm officer nagged at Nilatas, though he didn't want to admit it, he was as bored as the rest of the crew. He gave the man a dry look, "Go ahead."

The officer keyed the console and the ship was sucked into the depths of Vlerov-Lexin Space. After a short trip, the Nezerim emerged from the red portal into an unfamiliar system. The eight kilometer long destroyer stopped, and took scans...

IC:

Ambassador Laurie Oliveria, New Dornalia's promised Ambassador to IDF as part of the Embassy Exchange, traveled in her Gagarin II Shuttle as she approached what she thought was close to IDF Space. Well, at least that's what she thought, her maps said she was a bit off. Then....she had the luck of encountering the Miranda. Her kitty ears twitched as she steered to avoid the ship. Like the Theaoans, she knew the ship's design-the Federals used that sort of style before. But it lacked and known Federal Insignia. So, she decided to investigate.

Then, she stopped, and then, she hailed the vessel, giving out the following message:

"This is Ambassador Laurie Oliveria of the Commissariat of Foreign Affairs, New Dornalia. Unknown ship, I am a bit lost, I am looking for IDF Space...

...Who are you, anyway?"

Onbaord the RCVF Nezerim

'Master Nilatas checked the scans that had been taken, there appeared to be multiple ships of similar configuration inside the system. He wondered if his distance had left his ship undetected. Nilatas eyed the data, these ships were considerably smaller than his vessel, but they were tough little suckers. Both his his main cannons might be able to take down one, but missiles would prove ineffective due to target sheilding. Vaalite ships lacked sheilding because extreme amounts of energy was required to sheild ships, and Vaalite designs were just too large. But Nilatas hoped that his tactical assesment would not be needed.

"Comms, open a channel, video and audio, but close it after transmission."

"Aye, sir. Channel open."

Nilatas gathered himself and took in a breath, his accent-heavy voice was recorded and his tall, strong form was filmed and sent.

This is Ship Master Gerard Nilatas of the Crimson Vaal Destroyer Nezerim, we have detected your transmissions and we have decided to explore this area. Please do not be alarmed by us, we do not wish for any hostilities. We hope for a response.

Nilatas killed the message and sent it on it's way. He smiled, these peoples could snag him a promotion to Sub-Fleet Master, just the thing his career needed.

The Oberth class explorer ISS Grissom was at the edge of the Primus system to escort the ambassador. The Grissom led the ship at warp 1 to Primus III. The trip in Primus took only 20 minutes at warp 1. They then told the Dornalian ship that she was cleared to go inside of Starbase 1, which was officially named Primus Station. They were to dock at the station where they would be met by Kenny Williams, the Foreign Minister. Then they would beam down to the planet.

Mr. Williams met the Ambassador and led her to a transporter pad where they would beam to the capital of New Jerusalem on the surface of Primus III. The embassy had been already constructed based on designs send by the New Dornalian government. Williams would make sure the ambassador arrived and got comfortable.

When she got there, Laurie's cat ears perked up, and that sort of spidersense New Dornalian catgirls had went into action, taking in the sights and sounds. The city of New Jerusalem was vast, busy, and definetly vibrant with a certain charm. As she followed Williams to the embassy complex, she said, "Mr. Williams, am I correct to assume that your nation is, well, Israelite, or derived thereof? It has that certain charm and feel to it."

Laurie then sniffed the air, and said, "That would explain the surroundings. Israeli-Jewish architecture and food did have that distinctness to it-all good, I assure you."

Looking ahead, she could see the embassy complex. Upon spotting, she then said, "I am empowered to discuss further business beyond that simple ship and station purchase, Mr. Williams. How would IDF (?) feel about, say a trade pact, which would involve reciprocally lowered tariffs and limitations on investment by parties from our two states?"

A steel coloured starship 200 metres across and 100 long sailed gracefully through space at warp. a smaller Tenpeku class ship also steel coloured flew beside it, one of the few of this model that hadn't gone with the Kiribushi fleet.

it had one main saucer section with forward swept wings and the wing tips had a warp nacacle each.

on the hull near the bridge was the legend "NKS Chiang Lung". the slightly smaller ship bore the legend "NKS Sapporo".

These vessels were part of the exploration fleet that had resumed its mission now they were settled in Federal Union space after destruction of their home world.

they dropped out off warp in a system near IDF space and the Chiang Lung scanned for life.

Captain Keiko Abe sat in her command chair on the Chiang Lung as she waited for the results..

ooc: the Kirisubans don't even know who the Romulans or Klingons are. they just came up with the same ideas of ship design co-incidentally.

these ships don't have cloaking devices but are agile enough to get out of trouble. the phasers would be about the same strength as a 23rd century Federation ship.

the chiang lung has 4 of these and the Sapporo has 20.

Detecting a set of planets the two ships briefly jump back to warp before exploring on impulse power.

the first planet is a gas giant and while the Sapporo scans that gathering information the Chiang Lung strikes gold.

an M-class planet with higher lifeforms on it. there was no indication of the level of technology yet but it had a varied eco system with the planet having deserts, forests and seas as well as mountain ranges.

with there being no beacons or sattelites in orbit plans were made for a survey of this new world.

Captain Keiko Abe knew that IDF space wasn't that far away and expected an IDF ship to turn up sooner or later.

The Fictional Reality cruised through T-Space, its sensors cranked wide open looking for the evasive TCG. They had attempted to start galaxy spanning wars not once, not twice, but at least three times within the last few years. As a result it became endangered to be a ship from their navy.

Captain, there appears to be a large number of ships ahead.

Is it the TCG?

Negative, there are no familiar transponders there except one from Theao

Contact them to see if they might have some information or sightings of the TCG.

Yes Sir.

Minutes later the Interceptor Destroyer faded into view as it Emerged into Real Space. The sensors on any of the ships would have immediately registered the small 120 meter ship because when in Real Space, it possessed the mass of a small sun and the power reading were almost off the scale.

The destroyer held position a short distance from the other ships. Its spines slowly flexing in the aether of space, the ebon hull seemingly alive. An open message was sent to all vessels in the area.
