Wanting to do a Past Style RP, that isn't a war, and is slightly relaistic, I'm trying my old therad here. I chose a ship's voyage. I know not much of a pleasure curise on a steam boat, but oh well. Tell you what it's a free for all, with characters but:

I controll certian circumstances. So that means when there is a storm, there is a storm, and if you are captain, you need to try to get through it saftley.

And I get first dibs on the First Mate.

Hair Color: Blond/Blond

Weight: 145 lbs/120 lbs

Height: 5'6/5'3 (unless twins grow at the same rate. I don't know tell me if they do)

Eye Color: brown/brown

Bio: On their way home. While it is easy to likely tell these two farm kids are infact twins, many would be suprised, or not suprised, that they are actually in love. Strange but true, should provide for some intresting twists on the voyage.


Name: Emily Bindiger (1st Mate)

Age: 26

Height: 5'8

Weight: 186 lbs

Hair Color: Black

Eye Color: Blue

Bio: Was promoted to 1st Mate at 24. Emily's real dream is to become captain of her own ship one day. Her whole family we're Sea Captians, and ship merchants, so she has a lot to live up to.

Hair Color: Brown

Bio: Marrying very young and striving to be a sea man, isn't easy. Especially when you have a children to care for. His daughter Hanna is traveling with him, because she misses him more than anything. He's a tad bit protective of his daughter, who is a bit of flirt, but is a hardened seaman. His wife is expecting their next child soon, and he is going home to make sure he's with her when the baby comes.

Build: Lean/Muscular
Hair Color: Deep Brown
Eye Color: Dark Blue
Bio: The younger son of a noble family, grew up cultured but with a reputation as a playboy. Skilled fencer and pianist as well as an exceptional intellect which is hidden by his innocent(and highly attractive) face.

Does this voyage take place in the 19th century? In NS or RL world? To where is the ship going to sail?

I need to know something to build my (possible) character around.

it will be in the NS World, likely a 19th century style motif, lanterns as opposed to electric lighting, stuff like that. However a little more diffrent. As to where I sail to, well just any place, can't think of a specfic place right now. And because this in NS-world, here would be some noteable anacronistc diffrences:

Showers/Baths are provided

Passangers get rooms with beds, not a lot of class divisons

Food

Behavior dress styles. I'll leave things like that up to your characters.

Bio: Captain Niccolo is a slightly big man who was born an englishman. After serving in the Royal Navy for 20 years, he's seen everything: Whales, pirates, and even had the chance to see an airship duel.

He is a drinker, espically on duty, and has been known to be a womenizer. While this may discredit him, Captain Niccolo has one various meadals in service of the empire and is truly a war hero. Known to be an explorer, he has went ashore many times just to see what was there.

So sort of steampunkish?

well the concept is very simple, it's just a voyage there isn't a specific story to it.

I personally like the free-reign style

He expects adventures and exitement plus some 1st class parties, 1st class ladies and good company.
Jacques is also a great fan of swordmanship, poker, chess and whiskey - and expects that all of these can be enjoyed during the cruise.

Too late to join in? I only just saw it. If it's still open, I have another question: What's gender equality like in the NS C19? You have a woman as first mate, so it's a bit different, clearly. But would we see a woman in the military? In politics?

My guess it would be kind of so-so. Maybe more think of how your country would be in this era, would you be very old fassiond, and say no? Or are you more liberal in the sense you would have a woman in such positions.
