HOW SET UP AN EMBASSY IN THE REPUBLIC OF HOCHBERG

The Republic of Hochberg is always seeking to extend diplomatic relations with all nations of the World, regardless of their political viewpoint/system. As such, we would welcome any nation to set up an embassy in Talstadt, our capital city.

We would also like to place embassies in those nations who set up embassies in Hochberg, but this is by no means mandatory.

All nations wishing to create an embassy must fill out the attached form, EB-01a, and by doing so agree to the regulations laid out below:

Regulations regarding embassies:

1. Embassy Personnel may not exceed 100 persons, unless by specific directive of the Secretary of State
2. Diplomatic immunity does not extend to serious crimes, including: Murder, Manslaughter, Rape, Death by Dangerous Driving or Encouraging Civil Discontent.
3. Every Diplomatic Mission is limited to a maximum of two helicopters and twenty land vehicles (All unarmed, however these are allowed to be armoured in any manner)
4. Small detachments of military forces are allowed, as long as the total number of troops does not exceed thirty.
5. No heavy weaponry is allowed - nothing heavier than small arms. All weaponry must be declared upon entry into the Republic and we reserve the right to refuse entry of any weapons or munitions.
6. Any weaponry brought into the Republic must remain on Embassy Premises at all times, except in times of Emergency (With the exception of ambassadorial bodyguards who shall be permitted a pistol when on duty.)
7. Embassies are considered the territory of their nations, and as such their own legal systems shall apply (This only applies to activities that occur within the boundaries of the embassy).
8. The Republic of Hochberg retains the right to request the departure of foreign diplomatic persons, having provided them with written notice, a minimum of 48 hours prior. Safe passage to airports/ports of the Republic of Hochberg will always be assured for both persons and documents.

As a result of the deteriorating security situation in the Federation of Heathen Republics, the Foreign Office is now advising against all travel to any part of the Federation.

There have been wide levels of unrest over the last week, in the capital city Vorksigard, with bombings against Government targets, including the Presidential Palace. Whilst there is no evidence that foreigners would be targeted, there is the risk of civilian casualties resulting from being caught between the two groups.

As yet, the violence has not spread to the provinces, but this is expected to change at any time, and without prior warning.

Any Hochen citizens already within the Federation are urged to seek consular assistance by calling our Hotline on (+271 1201 1044).

Things can go wrong on holiday. You could fall ill or have an accident; you could have money or luggage stolen; your visit might be cancelled or cut short through injury or illness; your family may need to fly out to be with you if there is a serious incident. All these risks and more can be covered by taking out travel insurance.

However, you should check the small print of your insurance policy very carefully to see if any exclusions might apply. The Democratic Imperium of Praetonia

The Democratic Imperium of Praetonia is a large, stable nation, of over 4.5 billion inhabitants. They have long been a stabilising force in global affairs, being a founding member of the Woodstock Pact. Its hard-working, intelligent population enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region. Praetoria has an impeccable civil rights record, and there is much political freedom in the Imperium.

The Praetonian economy is primarily service-based, but agriculture, industry and research have all been industrialised and are going strong in Praetonian today. Tourism is well developed in Praetonia, with Ports and Airports being the major transportation routes, Praetonia being an island nation.
