Today Jurai Empire officially announces that the first of new revolutionary spaceships, Jurai Titan, has left Altair system’s shipyards to begin its three weeks long maiden voyage. Jurai Titan is three times larger and better armored then standard Jurai Battleships, being 1350 meters long. It is armored with 10 heavy and 150 standard Proton Cannons and equipped with amplified shields that are measured to be six time stronger then those of standard Jurai Battleship. While Jurai Titan is yet to be tested in real combat, Jurai’s scientists believe that it should prove to be more then equal match to ships two to three times of its size made by most other interstellar nations. Jurai Titan has crew of 1500, and is capable of transporting up to 6000 soldiers.
“Until recently, building the ships of this size while retaining Jurai Battleships’ speed and maneuverability was impossible.” Says one of Jurai’s lead military scientists, Makoto Hyuga (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Makoto_Hyuga), “However, thanks to revolutionary Mass Distortion System, we are now able to reduce the spaceship’s mass, therefore dramatically reducing the need for more powerful engines as well as engine energy consumption. Regrettably, Mass Distortion System’s own energy consumption is rather high, and combined with its bulky size, it makes it absolutely useless for smaller spaceships. Jurai Titan’s other drawback is its rather high construction cost, which makes it impossible to begin mass production of Jurai Titans right away without destabilizing Jurai Empire’s economy. Instead, Jurai Titans will have to be slowly introduced into Jurai Imperial Navy, but with their impressive shields and firepower one can be certain that even a few Jurai Titans are likely to make difference in battle.”
The first Jurai Titan currently heads for Tier system, where it will pass a check-up, and if nothing is amiss will proceed with two weeks long patrol voyage along Jurai’s border with Eternal Dimensions before returning first to Tier system and then to its home docks in Altair system.
