A standard frontline vessel of the Otagian Hive, the Bucephalus cruiser is a departure from older designs, utilizing full QUETZAL Avatar control and removing all biological crew from the vessel. This allows for far higher acceleration (no fragile meatbags to keep alive), lower energy requirements (no life support systems), and much faster reaction speeds (ansible based circuitry: no hardware lag!). In addition, this meshes with QUETZAL's duty to protect the citizens of Otagia, keeping their frail shells out of harms way.
SCCAM Batteries
The primary armament of the Bucephalus class (as with most PRA vessels) is the massive SCCAM systems mounted in a pair of circular rotary drums that run along the length of the ship. With a grand total of 54,000 individual tubes, each Bucephalus can fire off a grand total of five barrages from each drum, saturating enemies in singularity-driven torpedoes. The SCCAMs are also often used as a first layer of defense, using the massive wall of emerald event horizons as an impenetrable shield.
Malkavian Doctor
One of the few ships in the Otagian arsenal to actually mount one of these devastating weapons, the Bucephalus-class is built around a massive MD device, code-named "Malkavian Doctor" by Pale Rider Arms. The device produces two beams whose focal point has the ability to disrupt the bonds between atoms in molecules. The device also creates a field in which nearby molecules are also destroyed, and each dissolved widens the reach of the field. In the absence of nearby mass, such as the vacuum of space, the field dissipates rapidly, but a tightly-clustered formation of ships could be easily destroyed. Its more devastating ability is the power to destroy planets--because a planet consists of tightly clustered mass, a single beam will destroy it.

The Bucephalus carries a full array of 5cm MACs as its secondary armament, mounted on opposite sides of the hull. These cannons provide a respectable punch at medium range, although they lack the killing power and massive range of the SCCAM batteries.
