Rcently, a ship that had been lost for over 2 weeks was discovered in undiscovered land. In that time, they had to endure tropicla scorchers and frequent Indian attacks. It will all be published in the upcoming book, survival. Still, that does not change the fact that new land had been discovered.

Yes, in their perilous journey through a storm the ship was whisked away to a foreign land that had not been touched by human hands, with the exception of the natives. After the rescue, plans to settle the land were discussed. Then, they decided to name the land before making plans. The land was then named after the ship, Persile. Well, new lands means more opportunity to gather much needed resources. So, ships have been prepared to settle this new land. Of course, it's much to vast for Kubra alone. So, we fully expect for foreign countires to stake land claims. who knows, maybe you'll be one of them.

We have decided to help the natives. We are going to send in several expeditions to establish trade. Our first goal will be to trade for spices, medicines, animals we haven't seen before, new species of plants, textiles, and other handicrafts. We are also looking to do photography and other show the native type stuff. We will try to avoid giving the natives horrible new diseases.

Part of the goal will be to make allies with the natives, and prepare them to fight off the invaders. Teach them things like how to make poisons, better bows, explosives. Help industrialize those who wish to be industrialized. In other words nation building in the wilderness for trade, new knowledge, and raw materials. We are hoping to find a large empire like the Inca or Aztec who we can turn into an industrial powerhouse. We might even learn a few lost technologies-- things like Inca surgery, African metal working, easter island statue building, etc.

We are going to be wonderfully politically correct, and teach them the history of native peoples around the world. This should lead to some nice conflicts. Plenty of our explorers should be eaten or have other horrible deaths.

IC: The tugboats placed the portable docks and clamped them all together. Then 2 large ships docks. the doors opened and metal boards feel. Soon, people were coming out. They were ladned with a number of things. Food, blankets, pickaxes, anything you could think of. They were the 1st wave of settlers into Persile. some took breaks on the beaches, soaking up the sun. Others went straight inland to cut trees. The 1st days cutting went 2.6 miles inland from the docking point. Everyone was cutting forest down for a new home. Some were saking land claims and gorwing theri 1st crops.

We are exploring the islands to the south. We have found several native tribes. They have a paramount chief. For coconuts, trees, botanicals, monkey hides, and parrot feathers we have taught them about history, given them steel, writing, gewgaws like plastic jewelry, glass beads, and have arranged to have a garrison where we will train them in modern warfare as mercenaries. They have several pyramid like structures where they sacrifice the other natives. The neighboring tribes send them tribute so they won't invade them. We have also given them satellite maps which they are using to raid their neighbors for slaves before too many foreigners move in.

They are very proud and warlike. We have maps to ancient treasures in the jungles of other islands. The other islanders fear them because they keep the skulls of their neighbors in temples and speak to them in tongues. They also use blowguns with poison darts, nets, spears, bows, poison powder, and are known as the super fierce people.

OOC: Vaguely based on Norse mythology, although I've yet to figure out a story as to how the Vikings got into the middle of the Pacific... I also draw from a number of other mythologies, as need arises.

Ali was a man sent by Mecca to settle this land. Riding an Arabian horse, he looked at the settlers he was with. Seeing the natives, he went to them and greeted them in peace, guarded by Quraish soldiers. Ali seemed to like one girl he saw and when he found out she was a native chief's daughter, asked if he could marry her for they were in love. The chief approved and they did, in the native way.

The Quraish brought many gifts to the natives, the Quraish concentrated on trade here. Soon, New Mecca was established as the head colony.

The sounds of chainsaws was thick. People were clearing as much as they could ofr land. Meanwhile, the large machines were being loaded onto the land. Workers prospected the land, preparing the build a grand city. Of course, the indians would be a problem. Most of the workers borught guns. Although, they were assured that they would get 100,000 soldiers to help them.

A Jaredcohenian fishing boat was swept up by strong winds and crash landed on a sandy beach.

"Where is this place?" said Officer Gilligan Mzrn.

"It's not on the maps...I don't know. Radio military support." Commodore Antonio Frzl demanded.

"This is the JCV Mako here, we've landed on a beach. Little signs of life. We'll send you the coordinates."

"Understood." A radio operator answered. "Helicopters will be sent to explore soon."

You are lucky, the enatives we found are quie hostile. I also expect that different tribes have different variations of the language. The small motor boat beached onti the shore of the island they were supposed to meet their teacher(s) at. They each hopped out. 1 guy was a scientist, looking for cures and killers alike. One man was an anthropolgist who was interested in the native culture. The last person was a woman, a diplomat. She would be the one communicating to the natives after she had learned the language form the missionaries.

Maximillian met the boat, along with the chieftan and several other natives.

"Welcome to the Isle of Naio," said Maxmillian, bowing. "This is Knal, the chief of these people." He introduced the other natives, and finally, "And I am Maxmillian. Father Leif has instructed me to make you comfortable here."

One of the native women whispered something in Maxmillian's ear. "Leora offers her house for you to stay in, while you are here."

"How do we say thank you", asked the woman. The anthropologist ws carefully observing the natives, seeing if thry had any unusual customs or strange everyday habits.

Maximillian, instead of replying, demonstrated, bowing his head and saying "Nokian." The woman bowed back.

"If you'd like," said Maximillian shyly, "I've started a book on the language. I could show it to you."

"Nokian", they all said, bowing. While the to-be diplomat was excitedly enquiring about the book on language, the scientist went back towards the water. He cupped some in his hand, observing it. He apparently tohught there might be some sort of new mineral or something inside the water. The anthropogist was taking notes on the form of greeting. He also wrote about the physical features of the natives. It seemed that everyone was where they wanted to be.

OOC: Nope. Not Ehzno. All Aesonics consider them the True Gods. Ehzno's just a wee bit more radical as to making other people consider them the True Gods. Notice how these people are talking (and, in the case of the security, ;)ing) with the natives, instead of beating them with sticks.

Wave 1, Inquisitors an d Missionaries

In accordance with standard Tribunal policy, a group of missionaries and Inquisitors was dispatched to each of the two islands claimed by the Holy City. The natives were the first hurdle to be jumped in the creation of the two new cetres of worship, and an important one at that.

The black osprey aircraft touched down near a group of natives who had spotted the great machines. The first man to step out was an Inquisitor, closely followed by a Monk-In-Waiting, chanting incantations of the Tribunal. The greatInquisitor spoke, in a great booming voice:

"The path of righteousness lies in fear! In the name of the Holy Second Tribunal, heirs of the Holiest of Holies, I instill in you this great terror! Vae Victis!"

With these words a squad of black-clad missionaries left the osprey, brandishing AK-103 assault rifles.

"Show them salvation."

The squad opened fire, cutting the few natives who had gathered to ribbons.


Wave 2, Workers and Prefabs

A few hours after a suitable area had been cleared, and the bodies purified, construction forces landed. An area was cleared by daisy cutters, and a prefab airfield established, surrounded by a small city of tents. At the entrance to the airfield stood a sign:

As they worked they saw the many penal legions being marched through the town towards Camp Wolf Wind by the strongest and most feared legion in C&T the 13th or knowen as The Last Chancers.. Along the wall surounding the island the new recruits of North Fist Isle guard marched manning the many weapon post.*

The Quraish favoured trade, so they traded with the natives, offering Quraish goods for theirs. The Quraish traders kept learning about these natives, liking the goods they were getting.

New Mecca was established, Ali resided there as the Viceroy of New Arabia. The Quraish also respected the natives and their ways, their religion if any was tolerated.

Everything seemed to be going well for the Quraish.

Maronite Lebanon would like some of the land here.

Things were going well in the Aesonic Protected Zone. A large minority of the natives had converted to the Aesonic Faith. There were some rough spots...

"Look, all I'm saying is that we should build a church," said Maximillian.

Father Leif shook his head. "These people aren't Aesonics. They have a completely different culture. They are a lot more comfortable out in the air then they would be inside some stuffy stone building. I have to say, there are times I sympathize. No. We keep holding the services outside."

But apart from them, things were going so well that the APZ was expanded. Several ships landed along the coast, directly north of Jaredcohenia. They moved only a few miles inland, and, oddly enough, found no natives. Between this and the fact that oil was found, several oil rigs were set up in lieu of a mission.

A small Jaredcohenian trading colony was set up after a few weeks, a small Cohenist mission was also there too. The few natives that were there were converted, and they began to claim more land to the east. The Jaredcohenians pushed east around one thousand miles around the eastern leg of the "triangle."



Jaredcohenians began to sail. A small Jaredcohenian trading ship, The Oscar, landed at the Kubran island.

"Small place..."

Then again, considering their religion was false, perhaps they had the right idea. Karl shrugged and through the improvised firebomb, as three other Ehznoists did likewise. The impromptu demolition was followed by a barrage of AK-47 fire designed to finish off anybody fleeing the flames.

As the building burned to the ground, the Ehznoists decided that it would be a good idea to pull back. After all, such an inferno was not likely to go unnoticed. This attack had not been on the spur of the moment, however.

There were stashes of Molotov cocktails throughout the forest. The Ehznoists all wore camoflauge, and two of them were currently mostly burying themselves under piles of leaves. The others fell back into the forest, weapons at the ready.

OOC: Doom music? Oh, and how do you know they're Ehznoists at this point? They didn't even yell "For the True Gods!"

The man returned, with 10 AK-47s, 15 TEC-9s, and 5 RPGs.

"Let's massacre these monsters." a man said while he grabbed an AK-47.

The tribal men grabbed whatever spears and weapons they had and went in first, into the deep uncleared jungle.

"The True Gods are with me," murmurred one of the men hidden in the leaves, "And soon I shall be with them."

He started firing, concentrating on the Jaredcohenians for a couple of reasons. First, they were more of a threat than the spear armed natives, at least in his opinion, and second, these were the same people whom had killed his brother during the seige of the Jaredcohenian embassy.

A Jaredcohenian shouted.

"WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!"

As bullets were flying by, bullets were fired sporatically. The AK47s were blasting away at anything that could be firing back, and the RPGs were firing at trees that people could be hiding behind. The TEC-9s were just firing anywhere they could.

"ANSWER US!"

Mostly by dumb luck, both men hiding in the leaves were killed. One was filled with so much metal that given an electric current he could double as a magnet. The other was blown limb from limb by an RPG blast.

One thing the Jaredcohenians didn't seem to have forseen... if you shoot first and ask questions later, you shouldn't be surprised when you don't recieve an answer.

Hearing the gunfire, Karl pressed his back against a huge tree. He was far enough away that, unless they planned on shooting up the entire forest, he should be safe from this particular shooting spree.

"Dude, why'd you shoot them before they answered you?"

"I don't know man, I don't know." The two men picked up a body of one of the shot men. "Maybe we can tell who it is by looking at it?"

The shooting had stopped momentarily.

"If you're out there and you come out now, you won't be killed."

OOC: If this ends up being a double post I'm sorry, but the system is messing with me.

Karl had heard stories of what the Jaredcohenians did to prisoners they captured. Cheif among them featured rape and family killing. He did not intend to be taken alive. Hene the cyanide capsules in his mouth, containing enough cyanide to kill him within seconds.

But then, the mission was completed. No need to martyr himself now and weaken the cause. He pulled further back into the forest. There was supposed to be a relatively friendly tribe somewhere in this general direction.

The two men picked up a corpse that had been lying on the ground, dragging it to the main trading port. The body was searched for any thing.

OOC: Sorry. I can see how this would be a little confusing to people who haven't been following it. I've got a more or less state religion, the Aesonic Church, who are tolerant of other religions, believing virtue trumps faith.

The True Aesonics, or Ehznoists, are led by Ehzno and believe that it is their duty to spread the word of the True Gods and Ehzno to save everyone from eternal damnation. Among their chief targets in their brief uprising was the Jaredcohenian embassy. As you can see, there are still hard feelings.
