FAQ:
Q: How do I know If I am a Preferred Customer if I am not on the list?
A: Ask. If you have never bought from Phoenix Dynamix or have never had relations with The Phoenix Milita, chances are you are not a Preferred Customer.

Q:Can I buy production rights if I am a Preferred Customer?
A:No. Production rights will not be sold period.

Q:How can my nation become a "Preferred Customer"?
A:Buy a lot of our normal stuff, have us do a custom design for you and buy a lot of it when its done, or support us politically in some way. Might also be a good idea to open an embassy in Phoenix.

T-1 Scorpion Main Battle Tank[And Variants]
http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v293/grunt74/NS1/T-1.jpg

Introduction
The T-1 Scorpion main battle tank is a land combat system featuring state of the art of armor protection, lethality, firepower, and maneuverability which was designed by Phoenix Dynamix for The Phoenix Milita's army.

Weapons
The T-1 carries one (1) 140mm rifled main cannon and there is enough room for ~60 assorted rounds DU, HEAT, SABOT, STAFF rounds and TOW-4 anti-tank missiles. The T-1A1 uses a smooth bore with slightly different round types. The T-1A2 uses a 112mm smoothbore, plus a 56mm gatling gun instead of the 140mm cannon. One three-barreled smoke grenade discharger is fitted on each side of the turret and you want to put conventional grenades in the launchers(takes HE grenades up to 40mm). A smoke screen can also be laid by an engine operated system. There is the option of two 81mm mortars on the sides of the tread, to be operated by the commander. There are (2) M-99 missile mounts which contain 8 Hellfire MMW IIs and 40 M261 2.75 inch hydra rockets. For defense there are also 4 stingers mounted on the back of the turret, behind the commander's station. The commander sits in a fully armored mini-turret which is equipped with six periscopes(providing 360 degree view), the .50 cal machine gun *which can be swapped out with a 15.5mm MG) and he can operate the M-99 systems, the stingers , and designate targets for the main gun by using the CITV system. The Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer (CITV) provides the him with independent stabilized day and night vision with a 360 degree view, automatic scanning, automatic target selection for the main gun and back-up fire control.
There is one coaxial 7.62mm M-240B machinegun that can be operated by the gunner, a second 7.62mm is mounted on a skate mount on the other side and is operated by the loader. Even the driver has his own machinegun to operate if need be, an 11mm MG-22 SAW is mounted in the very front of the tank also on a skate mount. All 7.62mm machine guns can be swapped with 11mm (.450 Phoenix) machine guns and the driver can have a minigun or 40mm GMG instead if he wishes.

Engine
The 1700 hp PD XM-1700 Diesel-Electric Hybrid engine was created specifically for the T-1 Scorpion and features a fuel cell battery back up for emergencies such as if the diesel fuel tank is hit and needs to be sealed off. While its top speed is 78mph it is governed at 48 mph to save fuel. It features easy access panel to key components and it can be worked on with a minimum of tools as there are built in drivers on many bolts for quick access to preform maintenance or repairs. The engine compartment is protected against HEAT projectiles with non-explosive reactive armor.

Armor and Protection
The T-1 Scorpion main battle tank incorporates a new type of carbon composite encased depleted uranium armor(The RHA value of which is estimated at 2,000mm at the strongest and 800mm at the weakest) all around. The side skirts of the treads are made of high density carbon composite, and plated with a thin coating of silver(looks cool)although ceramic plates can be used in place of the silver. Armored bulkheads separate the crew compartment from the fuel tanks and ammo storage area. The top panels of the tank will to blow outwards in the event of penetration by a HEAT projectile or detonation of the M-99 missile mounts. It is capable of being completely sealed for underwater travel and is protected against nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) warfare thorugh standard Phoenix Dynamix NBC systems. All electronics are shielded from emp in faraday cages where possible. The Full Spectrum Active Protection Close-In Shield or FCLAS is an option for the T-1 as it is with most PD armored vehicles and ships. The Phoenix Dynamix FCLAS features a canister loading system and fires from a single barrel. The FCLAS system uses 4 or more canister launchers tied into a combined RADAR/LADAR sensor system, computer controlled this system will detect and calculate the approach speed of a projectile, like a cruise missile, anti-tank missile or even a free-flight rocket. It then lobs the FCLAS projectile out at a specified trajectory, again computer controlled. The round bursts in the air at exactly the right moment, ensuring 80% of the time the warhead
of the incoming missile explodes.

Well, you have not yet placed any large orders or indicated that all of the current available weapons from Phoenix Dynamix do not fit your needs(and thus contracting us to make a new one). Besides the main store which i assume you browsed there is the AR-407(@ cheap stuff for poor nations) and AR-67(@Geneticon store) to interest you.

the famed Talon Starfighter and the Talon Tank will be made available soon as will the F-1 Phoenix II and an all new aircraft carrier.

OOC: Wilhelmsborough isn't on the list? Dude, I must have purchased at least 2,000 of your airships!

IC: The Principality would like to purchase 1,500 SF-24C Super Phalanx Exo-Atmospheric Fighters.

The total cost comes to $750,000,000,000. This is within our defense budget.

hmm i dunno.. you crumpled up our catalog once..

hmm.... for the Super Phalanx:
It can be launched via conventional booster or much like our space shuttles, on the top of a modifed 747-400 aircraft.
You do realize the effect of launching a rocket from the top of a 747, right? Namely the little part where you melt large swathes of the tail section, since 747s are made of aluminum, which tends to catch fire when you hit it with rocket fumes.

Power Plant: liquid fueled and plasma rockets
Plasma is a terrible powerplant idea, go chemical for any decent sort of delta-V. Plasma just plain doesn't work at all in the atmosphere without being on such a large scale that it's rather detrimental.

Maximum Speed: Mach 7.2 in atmosphere; 15,100 mph in space
That's not even escape velocity. I could literally sand-cast your fighter. (dump a lot of sand in your orbital pathway and let the speeds take care of the rest)

$500 million
Yet you still turn a profit? How?
The Phoenix Milita
14-03-2007, 03:42
Upon consideration we confirm your order, Wilhelmsborough.

Well, seeing as this thread lacks a closed tag, I naturally presumed that this thread was open for all to read and/or post responses to. Mea Culpa. However, in the future, it might be useful to actually post as to the closed nature of the thread, instead of sitting around thinking that we can read your mind.

And please, don't white it out, if you want to say something to me, go ahead and say it, don't slink about with TGs and tiny whited text.
Please refrain from posting in my "Preferred Customers" thread in the future. I consider it a [closed] thread and would appreciate it if you will not post in it again and I will be even more appreciative if you go so far as to delete your post.

That being said...
1. I have fully explored all of the complications including watching Superman Returns, although my design pre-dates the production of that particular film, the 747's tail is split and there is a pre-launch release before main engines fire, in addition to deflector plates.
2. The plasma rockets are used instead of compressed nitrogen thrusters and are only used for maneuvering and station-keeping.
3.The air speed is only what it is capable of if it is making a sub-orbital flight or returning from orbit, it will not register an 'airspeed' per se on its way to orbit, since its trip to orbit is powered by extra engines and/or fuel tanks.
4. Profit is not a concern in the Preferred Products line, but the price is reasonable

Now, I can easily post reasonable criticism to these points as to why they are unfeasible/impossible/flat out wrong (except for 4, which just seems to be bad economics), but I'll bow to your wishes and leave the thread.

Just a question - why don't you actually like taking criticism and learning something in the process? I don't mean this as an insult - I learn new things all the time.

When I present a design in a post such as this it is the Final Product.
I have done threads where I take input and infact allow IC involvement from other nations, the C-16 Pelican, the T-2 Savage and T-3 Warrior tanks and the CG-56 Xero Class Cruiser all took input before being finalized for example.
I don't intend to change anything major when I post it in a thread where it's being offered for sale and unless I see something wrong with my original concept I have no intention of changing anything. Especially in THIS thread which is all IMPROVED products based upon my previously introduced designs.

and i am irked that 5 posts in this thread have nothing to do with what is going on here and it has moved to the second page

Can't you just accept that your 'final products' are flawed and change them? You would see a lot more people buying your products if you listened to some criticism to help you improve them. I have provided input in your other threads on your tanks and you have shot this input down the same way you do so here.

Out of thin sheets aluminium alloy, BTW, as thin as sufficient for normal 747 use. That's hardly a rocket launcher, though the rocket could be shot away first.
Aircraft may seem solid, but most of them are actually quite fragile in construction.

Come on, you're arguing with TPM! Nobody takes these things seriously anyway, but hardly anybody cares if they are serious in High-PMT.

They are so far from realism anyway that "fixing" them would just destroy them. I think the customers understand that as well, and won't attempt to apply them in MT, for instance.
