On behalf of all citizens of the Republic of Hochberg, I would like to offer the hand of friendship to all the peoples of all the lands of the world. We have come to the conclusion that it is about time we ended our years of isolation and took a greater role on the world stage; it is time...to make friends.

I feel I ought to tell you something about the Hochen people. We are peace-loving, cheerful people; we hold the freedoms of the individual above all else and democracy is core to our society. We are efficient and polite and we make natural merchants and diplomats. We are not afraid to stand up for what we think is right.

Now we feel the time is right to make connections with like-minded nations: to learn from each other, work together to achieve shared ideals and to trade.

We hope this is the beginning of a new, more prosperous and successful era for us all.
