IC:

Overview

The Pan-European Continental Gas Pipeline (PEC-GAP) [Pronounced 'peck-gap'] will be the premiere economic venture in Europe, besides The Great Eurasian Line. It will stretch from Eastern Russia to Portugal and Ireland, providing cheap and reliable Gas fuel for homes, business' and industry. Every partner country and corporation will gain immensely from this truly momentous project. European energy and fuel supplies will never be the same again!

The main contractor for the project will be HirgiCorp, the biggest Corporation in the COH. They will carry out most of the planning and building of the pipeline, but will also partner up with Corporations in other nations to help build the pipeline.

The main pipeline will actually be two pipelines, one stretching from Yamalia in eastern Russia, through Scandanavia and the northern parts of Europe, before stretching across the channel into Britain and stopping in southern Ireland. The other pipeline will stretch from Orenburg and will link up with the Eurasian Line in Kiev where it will link in with this project. But from Kiev the pipeline will also diverge and travel through the Balkans to Greece. It will stretch through Greece to Crete were it will then travel up through Italy and Austria before snaking through southern France and into Spain and will stop in northern Portugal.

The northernmost line, beginning in Yamalia will be called the Idema Line, while the line beginning in Orenburg will be called the Vultmeyer Line. These two lines will constitue the PEC-GAP.

Once the pipeline has been layed in the various countries, it is up to the Government of that country where the Gas will be piped to. Any number of offshoot pipelines can be taken from the PEC-GAP and taken through the country in question, as long as it does not cross national boundaries and does not affect the integrity of the pipeline itself.

The following maps show the planned routes of the pipeline:

National Partners of the PEC-GAP:
(I.E. Those countries through which the pipeline will travel.)

Bjornoya (Confirmed)
Cotland (Confirmed)
Doomingsland (Confirmed)
Hawdawg (Confirmed)
Layarteb (Confirmed)
North Germania (Confirmed)
Nuevo Rica (Confirmed)
Rome (Confirmed)

Corporate Partners of the PEC-GAP:
(I.E. The corporations in the countries through which the pipeline will travel.)

Fiat Auto SpA (Rome)
Imperial Standard Petroleum [DoomCorp] (Doomingsland)
Keller, Brown & Root, Inc. [The Brent Crude Conglomerate] (Hawdawg)
Manchurian Globlal (Layarteb)
PanGen (Neuvo Rica)
Statoil (Cotland)
The Great Eurasian Line (North Germania)
Visara Co. (Bjornoya)

The pipeline itself will take up to three years to complete. Ideally work should begin as soon as possible. Areas through which the pipeline will travel in the COH have already been cleared, this should be the first job of any partner country so the laying work will be able to go ahead unimpeded.

The Future

At the moment plans for the PEC-GAP stretch only as far as Ireland and Portugal, but the proximity of the Vultmeyer Line to the coast of North Africa has started speculation in North Germania and in the COH over the possibility of connecting the line to gas fields in Algeria and Libya, and possibly stretching the line throughout Africa in partnership with TATO's Mulungu Project. At the moment, however, this is simply speculation, but it does mean that no matter what, a bright future awaits the PEC-GAP.

OOC: I need every nation mentioned to sign up below, and I need the names of the Corporations in Hawdawg, Neuvo Rica, Cotland, Doomingsland and RomeW that will help build the pipeline.

Also, NG, is 'The Great Eurasian Line' a corporation/company itself or should I change it to something else?

Statoil [OOC: government-owned oil- and gas-company] is very interested in getting involved in this pipeline, and would like to propose a pipeline on the ocean floor, going from the western parts of Norway to the coast of Scotland. If this is possible, we can pump north sea gas from our production fields in the Norwegian Sea via terminals on the Norwegian coast out to the purchasers. We would also like for a pipeline to go from the main line in Finland and up to Murmansk, where we need gas lines. We are willing to add a lot of money and engineering know-how into this project.

We are very glad that Statoil of Cotland will be joining us on the PEC-GAP project, and we thank you for your inquiry.

As you can see by the maps we already have plans for the Idema Line to run the length of Britain, including Scotland, thus a line from Norway would not be needed.

As we have said in our project literature, once the main pipeline has been laid any offshoots from the line are entirely up to the discretion off the country and corporation in question, thus a pipeline to Murmansk would be allowed as it is up to Cottish discretion. If you wish for HirgiCorp help in this endevour we would naturally be more than happy to help.

Announcement:

The Neuvo Rican state owned engineering consortium - PanGen shall be tasked with the construction of the line in the newly acquired Neuvo Rican territories in Russia. We look forward to a healthy working relationship with our partners in business Hirgicorp.

We would also like to make further investment to see the line expanded into Bulgaria, to maximise the economic benefit to our nation. Should such a proposal be approved, PanGen will fund all construction within Bulgaria.

TO: PanGen

We are very proud to welcome PanGen and Nuevo Rica into the PEC-GAP project as partners.

If you wish the line to go through Bulgaria we suggest that the outlined route is not changed, but a Neuvo Rican offshoot is dedicated to run into Bulgaria. Naturally as the line nears Bulgaria, HirgiCorp will help build a separate line into Bulgaria itself. Sincet this will be a national project for Neuvo Rica it, like any other offshoot line, will not appear on the main maps as they are at the discretion of the nation in question.

OOC: I should be just labelled as "Rome". The "W" is there because of NS.

IC: The Roman Empire will participate in the pipeline and will award the Imperial contract to Fiat Auto SpA.

Re: Pipeline Project

The selection process has been finalized and Keller, Brown & Root, Inc. based out of Houston will be in charge of all construction of the actual pipelines in Hawdawg Territories. They are currently on a hiring campaign and expect to fill all construction related jobs soon to begin this mammoth project. KBR has forward crews already deployed they are surveying routes and purchasing right-of-way. We established a hefty tax break for Caterpillar-Europe based out of London and as a sponsor they have agreed to supply all heavy equipment needed for this project in mainland Europe. We fully expect to begin pushing timber and clearing Right-of-Way's within a month.

Upon completion of the project The Brent Crude Conglomerate will takeover operations of the line. They are currently acting as an official overseer of Keller, Brown & Root, Inc. in the construction process.

If you have any questions feel free to correspond.

We thank the Holy Republic and heartily welcome them and Keller, Brown & Root Inc. into the PEC-GAP project. Naturally we are glad to hear you have made such progress already. Currently the initial pipe's have been laid in Yamalia and Orenburg and work is progressing quickly.

Naturally Hirgizstanian Motor Corp. would be glad to work along with Caterpillar-Europe in providing the heavy plant machinery for the job. Having two companies provide the majority of plant equipment will be a great help to the project overall.

[OOC: You already have it. Statoil is the corporation responsible for everything related to the Cottish oil- and gas-buisiness. They will contract one of its sub-divisions to do the actual construction of the thing, but overall responsibility goes to Statoil, which is one of the top five corporations in Cotland. More than twenty million Cots call Statoil their employer...]
