Space Laser Devoloped

The wonderful students in the Penguin and Leopard teams at the Laser Research lab in the University of Linux and the X have developed a space laser. It was thoroghly tested and launched yesterday. It is excpected to reach flight in orbit late tomorrow. It will be able to use multiple intensity settings, such as (from distance from orbit to our Holy Empire) that of a laser pointer, an optical disc reading laser, and weapons intensity). If any nation would like to have us use it for their puposes, please send us a telegram stating your nation's FULL name and the purpose you want it to be used for. We will review your application and, if satisfactory, will notify you of the laser's use. Each nation shall be permitted five free uses, after which there will be a charge negotiated with your country. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, give free service to anyone, or charge rediculous prices to anyone, as it is our laser. ;)

Don't be annoying:eek: . Submit only one application for each purpose. Don't waste my time with other telegrams (eg. vote for this, don't vote for this. If I like a proposal or draft resolution, I will vote for it):headbang:
Don't ask me to laser my own country out of existance. I'm not an idiot.
Weapons use is less likely to be picked than non-weapons use.
Also, if you submit your application multiple times, I may take measures such as including all proposals towards your five free uses, but not using the laser for you and blocking all future telegrams from you.
<OOC>I can also laugh at your application and give it toother people to laugh at</OOC>

Hypothetically, could someone purchase this laser from you? And for how much? (Not that I am considering buying, but I am just curious.)

could someone purchase this laser
No, although a contract could be made to allow direct access, etc.

Sorry, I'm new and don't understand what you said, Kubra

[Out of Character: He means that he's out of the roleplay at the moment, and is asking if you're modern technology, post-modern (2050 or so is what I interpret it as), or future tech. Welcome to NationStates!]

My Particle Cannon > Yer Laser HARHARHAR!!111 Seriously though, what are you eventualy going to do with it? Lease it out? Well anyway since lasers need retarded amounts of energy and I have excesses; I can provide it cheaply though my nations Energy Company FCS
SS Military Public Relations
The SS is interested in your laser, not as buisness proposal for destruction though as for power. Electrical power that is; in which we can provide the power needed for that laser cheaply if you accept. Further actions shall be taken once you accept.

Somewhere between PMT and FT, though probably more FT

A hex-encoded ticket increasing the free uses of the laser cannon to infinite is hidden somewhere on the forums. To be allowed to claim the ticket, decode the hex to see what to do. The firdt person who I see sending me a VALID ticket with ALL requirements met will win.
If this goes on too long, I'll start telling some places it's not in.
Nation who have already broken "rules" 1 and/or 2 are ineligible.
OOC: This will be soooooooo fun to watch
ooc: What the heck is hex-coding?

Basically, it is the numbers 0-9 and letters A-F used in a number system called hexadecimal. Each english letter can be (and is) assigned a hex number. There are websites allowing you to translate between english and hex (including the one I used for this).
For example, the string "Hello" encoded to hex becomes "48656C6C6F00". So it's basically a way to make it so you can't just find laser in the forums, and actually have to find the hex code. Which I'm prettysure no one else has here, so you won't be confused.

The usage logs and permissions (http://www.google.com/notebook/public/01394794854587396233/BDTbFIgoQpMvXubYh) have been made public. I may still make some contracts private if requested, though this will certainly come at a fee.

Hint #1
The ticket code is not in II. In fact, it is not even in a roleplay forum.

OOC: Hey, reply to Kubra please. I might be interested if you're PMT.
ooc: Sent the message with code and such not, not sure if you've seen yet.
Official Imperial Declaration
If this laser is used against us as a weapon, it will be considered an act of war by both the one who ordered the firing and the one who pulled the trigger. Expect no mercy if it is used as a weapon against us, for you shall recieve none.
Thank you, and have a good day.

Theao has won the infinite uses. The code was in the "minor national animal problem" thread in Technical. (OOC: I'd like to know if the hint was used)
Cravan: fine, if the use is as a weapon,we'll let whoeveer requested access pull the "trigger" themselves. Also, remember we can use it on full power to wipe out a medium-sized star system, as was done during in-space tests. (mind, it can hardly be used for the next few days)

So far, this is taking two pages. I really didn't expect anyone to even notice this, and there's been a contest (COMPLETED  ) to have infinite free uses, two pages, threats that use will cause war, the need to start a log of who can use the laser (and how many times they have), the publication to the public of the log...
Thanks for seeing and replying to my first message, everyone!

Wow. this space laser is my own little area to "mod". Well, who gets to use it, the "rules...
So, almost a mod in my own place

After finding out exactly what that meant (thanks, Aralonia!), I responded to Kubra, and yes, you got it, FT (although I'd like to think of it has a little torwards PMT).
OOC: Someone please make another post here in the next 90 minutes, and there'll be a third page in ONE DAY!!

I'm about to get off the computer and probably won't be getting on until at least tomorrow (past 3:30p EDT). Any requests until then will be delayed.
OOC: Oh, FT? Okay, then, consider that that post over there was my FT solar system instead of my MT/PMT nation.

I would like to use your laser to boil some water for tea. Please zap the water tank atop my cafe. This way I can sell hot drinks for cheap.
