Ok, so... with the finale of 24 last night, I was thinking that it would be cool to try and do a 24 roleplay. I basically want to base the entire roleplay off the concept of 24, rather than the storyline and characters. In fact, I would rather that there be totally original characters and a storyline for the roleplay.

In other words, I'll let you create your own character to play with. The entire RP will cover 24 hours of one day. Time will be fluid, but yet kept track of. In every post, time must posted reguarly like so:

01:25.01... 01:26.02... 01:26.03...

With the first number being hour, the next being minute, and the last being seconds. Every post must AT LEAST start and end with a time signature.

Now, a single post could take anywhere from a matter of seconds to several minutes, or maybe even an hour. It will be up to the player to determine how much time elapses during the post, but the player must be realistic. If he/she isn't, I will call it and ask you to change the time...

Here's the basic rules:

1. No godmodding.
2. No trolling or flaiming.
3. I'm in charge... as far as keeping the rules upheld.
4. Once a character is dead, their dead. No coming back. This rule can have an exception made in extreme circumstances (like Jack's), but you have to get approval from me.
5. This will be Modern Real Life Tech only. No NS or futuristic weapons.

For now, those are the only rules I can think of.

So go ahead and make a character or drop a thought for a storyline. In any case... sign up!

He will not hesistate to kill for either revenge or for his country, and he will likely to anything to benefit himself or country. Generally, he's a very selfish person.

History: Dimitri was a Speznatz in the infamous Alpha Team of Russian Ministery of Defence for six long years, but something that he saw in the tenth raid in Chechnya made him to leave this organization that had became his home, as well as the whole country. He spent five long years in the French Foreign Legion, for he knew no other job than that of soldier, but wasn't aware of other places he could put his skills in use than national armies of the world and this famous French unit was the first option that came to his mind. After refusing to sign the second 5-y contract and thereby leavign the FFA he however understood that there were indeed people and organizations that were in need of professionals, and who payed helluvalot better than any army ever would. Dimitri has now spent three years as a freelancer, intentionally avoiding too long term contracts that would tie him up more than he finds pleasing. During this time he has managed to create a bit of reputation in certain circles, also.

History: Ryan was in the army as a paratrooper. He always had a sense of duty to his country and do whatever he had to inorder to protect it. He's been working with CTU for a few years and has become a contributing and reliable member. He is married with two children. Ryan is strong, intelligent, agile. However, he's an ex-alcoholic and strains to stay away form alcohol. It only interfers with his family life and work.

Description: Dirty blonde hair(Flipped up in the front),grey eyes, 186Lbs, 6'2, Physicly good condition

Profession: Hitman/Assasin/Merc
Weapons: G36C/laser sights/, SigSauer P228, 2 fragmation grenades
Bio: Lars Becker served with the KSK(Kommando Spezialkräfte) untill his discharge for striking an officer. He served 1 year two months in military prison, once released no one heard from him again untill recently. Becker surfaced in Chechnya, Austria and Russia and is thought to be involved with terrorist cells within those countrys.

Nationality: Russian
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 143 lbs.
Eyes: Dark.
Hair: buzzed, black
Occupation: Terrorist soldier, formerly a Russian soldier
Weapons: Heckler & Koch MP5SD2, GLOCK 21, 8" Combat Knife
History: Nicolai was a Motorized Rifle Troop of the Russian Ground Forces, before becoming disillusioned with the corruption of the post-Soviet Russian military, blaming the United States for the poor state of his motherland. He deserted on the eve of his nineteenth birthday. Over the past two years, Korovak has been fighting with several paramilitary groups in Chechnya and the Balkans. He is eager to make America pay for its crimes.

I'm interested. But, I haven't thought of a character yet.

Their intention is to use it on the U.S for their lack of support for the Chechnyans. Saying that America stands idle while Russian troops slaughter their people and destroy their homes. I'd love to sign up for this one. About my character... While I'm fully aware that he's not the most original one in the history of RP'ing, I am using him in another RP too at the moment, and am feeling somke kinda fondness towards him already - in fact I hope to develop him to a bit further, for even further future RP'ing.

Very nice... you're in Madnestan. I like your character, and it will be interesting to see who he sides with.

Then again... is Jack in 24 really a good guy? Maybe a hero... but certainly not a good guy. He tortures and murders for goodness sake.

Anywhere from 3-8 players would be a good number. I don't want too many, or it will be heavily reliant upon too many people, but I don't want too few, because then we will not have many characters, less fun.

Neither can I... I like this idea a lot. I just hope people are good writers for this RP... nothing hurts an RP more than only 5-6 sentence posts.

A good example of good RPing can be found in "A Passion Play". It's a fantastic RP that I recommend all roleplayers read to see an example of good RPing ability. Those long posts are the secret to RPing success.

I'm sure you can do well... just keep writing 'till its long. Get into the minds of your characters and use a lot of deep descriptions about the surroundings, the characters feelings, what they look like, etc.

I beg to disagree in this one, if not more than slightly. In my humble opinion, length itself is worth nothing. It's the quality that matters. By no means am I saying that anyone should spare their words, but writing just and only for making the post longer serves no purpose. Or atleast that's how I see it.

Right... but in general good RPers will write long quality posts. Generally, it's very hard to write a long post that isn't quality, as the words you use to make that length typically add to the quality itself.

Now, if you're writing something that has nothing to do with the RP, that's totally different, but if you keep it on target and well organized, it will be a good post.

Welcome aboard NSD! This looks promising. Perhaps you could be the leading enemy terrorist which is sent to carry out the dirty work. You're not really the leader, but you're the most visible enemy.

This is going to be a fun RP... I can feel it.

I'll wait either a day or so, or until 1 or 2 more people sign up, then we'll begin. I'll write the first post.

Just a note to all: Just because I used a time, that doesn't mean that you can't use the same time.

For instance, my first post takes place at (for example) 5:00 PM. (18:00.00). It ends (for example) at 5:30 PM (18:30:00). This would not mean that the next poster HAS to start at 18:30:00, (although my next post likely would). Instead, the next poster can begin their post at 18:00.00.

Just make sure you don't go over the same ammount of time with the same character, and make sure that when the RP starts pushing our characters to interaction with one another, that you post in very small incriments. (Sometimes a matter of half a minute or a minute).

CTU is located in say, eastern LA... whereas the science complex is farther south, nearer to Florence California.

It is a science facility, unnamed. At least in most circles. Your character could be back at CTU, getting reports and such. Maybe contacting mine with new news.. or finding something new out?

Consider him already a part of it, have him meet with some unknown bad guy and he cuts a deal, and finally helps the terrorists.

Hey Kulikovo... it's absolutely important that you put an end time at the end of your post. That lets us know where your character is at.

So please update it with an end time. It could be before or after the time I had in my post... whatever. Just keep it realistic. But we always need an end time.

BTW... nice post overall... good thoughts and character development.

Starting is always the hardest, but I'm sure you can figure it out.

Just keep in mind, there is only 24 hours, so you need to have your character pretty much already involved (like I and Kulikovo got ours into it in the first few minutes).

I'll play my character to be around the docks at the same time, so that we can have some interaction. As I'm not that good in developing complex plotlines, I'll let you to guide it, at least for now. If that's ok.
