Suspicion *Earth II* (Att: Pacifinesia Alliance)

Terronian

Dimitri Tabolov stood up the decorative balcony of Bright Hill, the National Assembly in which the Terronian Goverment met. Down below along Hideki Square, citizins lined the elaborate prick sidewalks as Legion after Legion of Terronian troops marched in perfect order, there Blue Dress best and medals shining brightling in the golden Terronian sun. A tradition it was for the army to hold a parade before deployment into war, and the threat of war between Pacifnesia and Tyrandis loomed over the world like a storm cloud. The tradition dated deep into Terronian history and was to ensure bravery, honor the soldiers being sent to fight, and raise the spirits of the nation. Dimitri held his hand up as the soldiers down below marched rising there guns at an angle and turning there heads to face him as they did.

An advisor quickly walked toward the Duchy but hesitated, unasure if what he had to report was worth interupting the Duchy. Fellow advisors waved him oin as he nervously and on tiptoed walked to the side of the Duchy and cupping a hand over his ear spoke. Dimitri's eyes flared in astonishment and annoyance as he puffed out his chest cleary aware of the situation but he kept his hand raised and his eyes on the men until the parade had ended.

*38 Minutes Later*

"Okay General, tell the Duchy what you told me".

General Motosuwa rubbed his scalp, bald from years of wearing the gold bottomed hat marking a T.G.D.F General. He looked at the advisor that spoke to him, cleared his throat and spoke.

"They want to break this country again. Our own allies as well."

Dimitri squinted his eyes in scrutiny and spoke.

"Please elaborate, I heard the report of a coup, now tell me what you mean."

Pacifnesia, they don't trust us, but pfft, they never have trusted us, ever since they attacked us in the past. We then join them and they have the gull to label us as traitors. We picked up this report from Hauhin, its not to pleasing sir, dam rats.

A document was handed to him, above was encypted codes, then words written in Hauhin's native tongue, then in Terronian.

In the light of recent intel from other Pacifinesian agencies, we have decided to cast our own shadow of doubt over Terronian. We advise for a move against the Terronian government, but a covert one. As we are currently part of his alliance, we can overthrow it without arousing much suspicion. Our agents are already infiltrating high government positions, and awaiting further orders.

Dimitri through down the document in a quick rage but regained his senses and began striking his eyebrows. He quickly pulled out a pistol and began rolling it on the table with his fingers, nervously agrivating the other men.

So, Pacifnesia has plans to overthrow me, when we have remained loyal, rats, they never have trusted the Terronians, we are worms to them, even with the power we weild and the good we have done. I want all troops to standby and not be deployed, I want martial law enstated, and most of all....

The Dimitri gave a glance to each man.

I would hate to find that any of you are working for them, betraying me, I would hate to order your execution. Wire a message to Pacifnesia HQ, don't make it threatening but let them know, we have recived the intel, we will not stand for it.

The Huahinian Military Intelligence Chief, John Charles, chuckled when he read the message from Terronian.
"Ah, it seems they have taken the bait. Now at last they decide to converse with us after so long, and much inactivity."

One of his deputies, who had recently returned from Kreynoria, did not look so happy about the current matter,
"But was it wise to send it at all? Now they believe we are all against them, and there is a risk of possible war. Terronian is...ummm...I mean was, part of the Pacifinesian Alliance, and haven't we betrayed them?"

"True, Terronian joined up quickly to Pacifinesia, but since then they have threatened the former nation of Azimeth, who was an older member of Pacifinesia, and they have done little else. Where was Terronian when it Spizania and Tyrandis threatened Australia? They left it to us and Kreynoria. Now the ball is in Terronian's court. We have not formally dismissed them from Pacifinesia, nor have we drawn arms against them. Their actions over the next few days will prove whether they were ever loyal to us at all."

"Perhaps. We can only trust that Terronian will do the right thing, and assure us that their Gov't is not corrupt, which is suggested by its long periods of inactivity, and he must start engaging the Tyrandi forces that are threatening Australia."

"Terronian must realise, that if he is not in league with Tyrandis, he must prove this somehow, and must not draw arms against us, as his position would be hopeless, as he is surrounded."

Message to Terronian:

Message received and understood. We have reports that many within your Government sympathise with the Tyrandi cause. We trust that you will do the uttermost possible to prove us wrong. You are still a member of Pacifinesia in this time, and if anyone attacks you, with the obvious exception of another Pacifinesian member, we will come to your rescue. It is time the sleeping giant of Terronian finally put its foot down to sort out the people in your leadership, who wish you were no more than a Tyrandi puppet.

Message to Pacifinesian members:

We wish to call an emergency meeting for all Pacifinesian members, to discuss the current situation.

Top secret message to all Huahinian agents inside Terronian - Only encryptable by Pacifinesian members (with the exception of Terronian)
Hold all actions. We must give Terronian the benefit of the doubt for the time being, but do not let your guard down. Prepare for a coup at any given moment.

Tensions were tight in Bright Hill. Down below in Tabolov City, wine and other spirits flowed freely from the happy familys not having to send there son's and husbands and fathers off to war, but still the smog of violence hung heavy in the air and all could feel it. Inside the Grand Office, Dimitri stroked his chin having read the message sent to him in. In unnerved him. Here was a report on his desk from Hauhin about Tyrandi sympathizers in his ranks yet this has never been brought to his attention. He knew many of the men in his administration, some even dated back to his childhood days playing soldier in the Outback where he grew up.

This could mean one of two things, everyone around him was lieing to him and plotting against him, unlikely, he knew everyone, or the second option, it was a trick by Hauhin to cause his goverment to seld destruct on itself. Dimitri chose the second option as the viable candidate which was further proven in his eyes that Terronian was still recieving codes to the "agents" in the country and even Terronian Central Command had been unable to dechipher them, meaning "they" had information and not him. He sighed to himself.

Just then, his Chief Advisor Hibiki Manasuwa burst in. He rushed for wards but Dimitri waved him silent.

"Do you, have any connections with Tyrandis?"

"Excuse me?"

"Do....you...have....any...connections...with...Tyrandis? I am trying to avoid an inquisition, I am finding my trust of my current company is waning. I want to know if I can trust you.

Sir, I have always been faithful to you and my country, if you feel me unworthy, merely state it, and I will commit Seppuku.

Dimitri raised an eyebrow, Seppuku was very honorable in Terronian and not mentioned unless serious, he had his trust.

Good, good. Sendf a message to Hauhin of the current situation and how I feel on all this, let me scribe it to you.........

Message to Terronian:
Regardless of whether Huahin trusts Terronian or not, we cannot make a decision for the whole of Pacifinesia. We have called an emergency meeting for Terronian to clear its name.

"Terronian...traitors? Are you sure? I find it hard to believe...."

Security Minister Hasan presented the findings from Huahin's intelligence services to Premier Zhao, answering his leader's questions to the best of his ability. After listening intently, Zhao shook his head in disbelief.

"It's...possible, but surely they'd realise that siding with Tyrandis would result in their destruction? I admit that this information raises a few questions, but I would prefer not to jump to conclusions. Huahin has suggested a meeting of the Pacifinesian membership to discuss this issue, so I intend to hear all sides before deciding."

Official Communique to All Pacifinesian Members

As we are all aware, an emergency meeting has been called to discuss and determine the loyalties of one of our own, namely Terronian. The United Eastasian Republic hereby states its intention to attend the meeting, as this is a matter of grave concern. Terronian must be given the proper opportunity to prove themselves and clear their name; their accusers must provide sufficient evidence for the claims being made.

OOC - It was Japan that first doubted him, not me.
Here is the reason I doubt him anyway

In this thread Kreynoria and I are defending his territory against Tyrandis, without him doing anything.

"What?!"

Premier Bokonon was shocked by the latest bit of paper to hit his desk.

"What possible reason could Terronian have for betraying our alliance?" he mused. "Even if they had some sort of motivation, they aren't stupid enough to believe they'd actually get away with it."

He pressed a button on his desk, summoning an aide from the adjacent room.

"Have orders written up for Minister Ivanov and a team of negotiators to attend this emergency meeting. I must remain here to lead the nation in the event of hostilities in Russia, but I'm sure Pyotr can handle things."

Bokonon knew that his notoriously slow to act Foreign Policy Minister would want to hear every bit of evidence from both sides before making a descision on the matter, and he knew that Ivanov's descisions were often the ones he would have made himself.

Official Message from Squornshelous to Pacifinesian Alliance
Squornshelan Foreign Minister Pyotr Ivanov will attend the emergency meeting on behalf of Squornshelous, in order to hear the evidence that can be presented by both parties and to aid in any descision that is to be made.
