Pananab

"Warp disruption fifteen thousand kilometers off teh starboard bow, Captain."
"Affirmative. Report to General-Admiral Stowes."
The huge Demi-Fleet, organized into neat and orderly positions, awaited for the Chaos Fleet to come into range. Their weapons were being warmed and the crews were manning their stations. Fighters readied to deploy and men were writing their wills and sending them to their families. The cluster was already going to Chaos, and Law Stowes wasn't going to allow his Chaotic counterpart allow Pananab to have the same fate.
The ships were ordered in a hollowed semi-sphere, but were spread out enough that the enemy wouldn't tell until it was too late. The lighter ships were behind the lines, ready to engage any stragglers. Their strategy was to surround and flank the enemy and then systematically destroy them. Mines were set one thousand kilometer out, hidden in a debri and asteroid field which would cause heavy casualties, and they would never see it coming.
But suddenly, there were more warp fields. The fleet disappeared, and the Law Fleet was now being attacked from behind. The Chaos Fleet was true to its name, their very material being questionable. Nothing about them was predictable. Teh ships were constantly changing form, even shooting at each other, which would hit or disappear as if it never happened and sometimes the ship would explode or teh shooting ship would explode, each situation being unique. The Law Fleet fired on the Chaos fleet, and space and time itself became distorted. Onlookers had no idea what was going on as the ships fired on each other
