As the Emperor walked through the Hall of Constantinople (named for its collection of Byzantine era things), he couldn't help but hear the sounds of the celebration some area away on the grounds of the Cathedral of St. Paul the Reformed. He stopped in front of the portrait of his great-great, etc grandfather, Matthaios Asanēs Kantakouzēnos. He was the man who created Cantacuzenia and brought it in the world.

Cantacuzenia had been at peace for some time but it possessed a formidable military and a somewhat good economy and people.

" Constantine, are you coming with us or not? The children are waiting to go to the celebration!'' He looked up and smiled at the sight of his loving and caring wife of six years, Anastasia. Around her were his children, all looking at their parents talking to each other. ''I am coming, I was just thinking of things.''

The celebrations were for Cantacuzenia Day, to celebrate the founding of the nation. The celebrations were always wild and filled with vibrance.

OOC-Sorry if this sounds similar to anyone else. I did not mean to rip off anyone and will re-write this if I have done so. Please tell me if I did without knowning, rip off someone else's work.

As the Emperor and his family came out of the Palace, an honor guard greeted them and lined up into position. People greeted them in cheerful light and joyful hearts. The Emperor was known for his good rule and kindness and the Empress for her benevolence, charity and beauty. Some rulers had names attached to them, like Constantine XII (The Daughterbearer) for his bearing of mostly daughters. Constantine XVI took the throne at 19 after his father's passing. He married at 26 and now had his own family to take care of. Everything was peaceful but however it was not so some time ago.

In one year (thinking of a year), the state of Comnenia (named after the Comnenus) had workers who did not like their conditions and so, they rebelled under a worker named Alexander Angelos who had men kill the Duke of Comnenia and rape his daughters and wife. Others were also killed by these men. The Emperor at the time sent men to stop the rebellion and he did, punishing the men responsible.

The Emperor and his family came to the celebration and one man said to him ''Your Majesty, ready for your bath?'' ''I will as soon as my time with my family is used up.'' The bath spoken about was when treated as a commoner somewhat, the Emperor would sit on a plank and people threw things at the target for him to get soaked and fall into water.

The Citadel of Blachernae was the palace the Emperor was near. The palace was inspired by Byzantine architecture. The gardens and scenery were known for their beauty and calmness, they were made by Empress Theodora who tended them as a child.

The moon shone in the sky, it seen by all. The Emperor was with one of his daughters, a girl of 11 years of age named Theodora when he saw the other children with his wife, some of them sleeping and others talking and doing other things.

''I think we should go home now, dear. We don't want the children to get too tired.'' The Empress said. The Emperor nodded and the Imperial Family went back to the Palace.

As the children went to bed, the Emperor talked to Theodora who was in her room. ''I had a nice time today, father. Celebrations are always fun and exciting.'' Theodora said. ''They are indeed. Let me tell you a story.'' He told her a story of his time as a child, going to celebrations. When he saw her asleep, he smiled and left silently. After checking on the other children, he went to his wife who was sleeping. He gave her a kiss and said ''Good night, dear.'' and they went to sleep. Tomorrow, the Emperor would be dealing with matters of state.

The Emperor and his family awoke to go to church before breakfast. They entered the Byzantine Catholic (may change) chapel, dressed in respectful attire and they participated in the services as believers would. After the service, breakfast was had and the Emperor went to a meeting with officals.

''Peace be to you.'' the Emperor said to his officals, who replied ''And with you as well.''

''How are the things of Cantacuzenia doing?''

''They are doing quite well, everything is in perfect order.''

''I hope it stays that well, we can't have problems now can we?''

After some time of meeting, one of the Emperor's sons, Prince Demetrios who was only 6 or more came in, holding a picture of himself and his father. ''Dad, I drew a picture of you.'' he said, holding up his picture. The Emperor took it and smiled, patting him on the head. ''You'll be a Da Vinci soon, Demetrios.'' he remarked, framing the picture in his office, as he did with those of his other children. The Emperor showed Demetrios around and then let him go on his own path as the meeting continued.

After the meeting, the Emperor went to pray and then went to see Helena, one of his daughters who was studying.

''What are you studying on today, Helena?'' He asked, looking at her notes and books.

''I am studying many things, I'm currently reading on World War II right now.''

''Ah yes, WWII. Truly a chaotic war. Hitler, Stalin, Churchill, Roosevelt, Tojo and Mussolini, all fighting one another for victory.''

''You do know your history, dad.''

''And so do you. You'll be an historian one day.''

The Emperor left and laid in his bed, in his room. He said to himself ''I have such an awesome family.'' After thanking God, he went to sleep, having a nap.

The Emperor awoke from his nap and went to his officals, to whom he said ''I wish to open diplomacy with other nations. We can not have isolation, it is like an anchor.''

So he wrote up an notice to the nations of the world, which read as so.
