This is RP for the Mauritius is dead, it is just for me to have groundwork for the next RP concerning the Mauritius, or namely the world responding to the declaration of colonization by the Mauritius government. We could later on insert some of your transmission but I am somewhat hesitant to do so as then it would be hard to contain military aggression. The RP lays out like a series of telegrams between several Austrian parties and the Mauritius government -time is “month-day-year”- . This will be non-violent and you can happily use any and all knowledge from these telegrams as in AMW life these transmissions are uncovered by a news reporter. Another minor footnote is I have no idea the name of Mauritius king so I just invented one, have fun reading!

IC: In a stunning turn of events the Constitutional Federacy of Austria and other parties have been found out about the recent events in the Mauritius. Many conspiracy theorists thought it was unusual but many thought it a regular day done in the world. Now here comes the series of telegrams that has changed the face of the world; you decide if it is for good or not.

Hello, I send this letter on behalf of the Austrian government to extend the helping hand out to you and especially free republics. Lets cut down to the nitty-gritty, I want something and you want something so here it is; in exchange for continual monetary and military aid I suggest a certain set of allowances to the corporations of Stille Incorporated and AMW, an embassy on your soil, and diplomatic immunity for our citizens. Nothing more and nothing less, in exchange you receive 2,000,000 Million Marks per month and expect our frigate to appear.

Your offer is promising but sadly some of those offers I am in need to decline. For one your African fleet would bring to bear attention that our poor island nation is in no need of; one of the few things. Your diplomatic immunity and embassy exchange will be granted and -I hope- the other parameters of the deal will be reaching us.

By any chance could you make the wages what you give out in Austria? Instead of the chip-change that you usually give out in the third would countries. I promise you it will be worth your time.

To: Austria

Of course, anything you ask is our desire.

The other “parameters” of the deal will be in effect as of 2-16-05, in the literal sense of “even as I am writing”. I am sorry to hear you decline but it seems groundwork has already been initiated for several stores inside your island country and some already standing stores being rented. I don’t need for you to tell me that that is a beneficial boost to your economy and with AMW and Stille Inc. paying you regular world wages -instead of what we usually do- the economists are predicting an almost 1000 percent increase in many of the good things like citizens above the poverty line, GDP, and decrease in unemployment. So remember who brought that.

Of course! We will always be eternally thankful for the part you have played in reshaping this country. Even now I am having the best cigar money can buy, some Cuban fancy lettering name is all I can deduce but it doesn’t take away. Just adds to the mystery. We could be wiling to allow some sort of military buildup to happen, but not your African fleet but maybe a smaller more defensive fleet.

We are delighted to hear that and I hope you enjoy the 200,000 million appearing today and then again on the first. It had a little back-up but I am sure you are happy to have it none the less. We will be dispatching a frigate to keep any local and some more European fleets off of your back. We hope that you continue to be such a good influence in a region wracked by war.

Thank you for the offer and we gladly accept. We now have received 4,000,000 from you and now years of back pay are bin distributed, some corruption has appeared but I am assured that we can handle it. Even as we speak our internal policing agencies will be cracking down the doors of unlawful persons and bringing them to justice.

We are at a loss to understand why corruption is such a big problem with your states. I am not criticizing your institution but we can never seem to have corruption for no other reason -I deduce- than personal charisma and stamina to temptation. I am hopeful you will resolve the situation and if you need them our sailors are always willing to bash heads.
I telegrammed you with a proposal to build a military base on one of your minor islands that -I assure you- has no population, a few miles in area, less vegetation than the moon, and only minor bird nesting grounds which we will take the full precaution to build around.

We will heartily accept, our economy has taken an even higher boost and we are already expecting the next influx of your generosity with still a fourth left. We are now starting construction of schools and hospital, the people are very happy of you government and a new flag has given rise. A mix between both of ours, it seems the people know who the money is coming from.

Just to see how it is going from your point of view. Our companies are generating a steady income from you island and I hope in the coming November elections you heartily support us. We aren’t trying to force anything just that we have to make something work.

Of course! Actually I am thinking about an idea for both of us to live peacefully; with no one aggressive this side of the world would you think of slowly ordering your sailors off of our beloved capital. Some brawls have broken several pubs and bars of our valued citizens and your naval base seems such a nice area.

We will think about it, I hope our continual advancement doesn’t break down over trivial matters. I will not hold it against you since dictating to your underlings slowly turns into the only way you converse. Sadly, the 2,000,000 Marks are having trouble to find your accounts.

Our most humble apologies, yes that is what happens. A side affect to my position I suppose, the Marks left from your other influxes are still available so we will not need the money anytime soon. So I hope you don’t worry.

The 2,000,000 has hopefully reached your shores by the time this letter reaches you. I also hope that our sailors haven’t been to much of a problem since your last letter, I just wanted to tell you the good news and re-iterate our hopefulness on your support in the coming elections.

The latest 2,000,000 has arrived as you said, the sailors -gladly- aren’t causing anymore trouble now. It seems the police needed to tune down their egos along side the sailors. Again, I am glad you have decided to bless such good fortune on our beloved tropical state.

The elections are here and as I promised my base it a continued relationship with Austria. It seems the more closer we are the better off we would be. The people feel the same way with banners hopeful for our continued diplomatic relation. The elections will end on January 1st, I hope I have your support since many new educated candidates are coming out of the woodwork.

We will donate around 200,000,00 Marks to your campaign for your continued advancement of ideals. We also hope that you start thinking about being part of Austria. In every literal sense.

We would all be happy to become a commonwealth member of Austria. Already the people are chanting the idea in the street after announcing it last night for my inauguration. The election kept me from really getting back to you and I hope our country can always live in peace. So forever and always, I will tell the world tomorrow; Austria and us will never be separated.

((Question! What's this about an Austrian fleet? Where the devil does a relatively small landlocked nation construct and base a fleet? And an apparently quite gigantic one of world-beating strength, at that!))

World-beating strength? Hmm.... I guess I under-estimated world strength, I thought I was giving myself small change. I'll adjust and thank you for spotting it.

((Well, in reality the (British) Royal Navy, one of the largest on earth from an island nation almost eight times larger than Austria, has no fleet carriers, no battleships, no cruisers, about fifteen (nuclear) submarines, and little more than two dozen frigates and destroyers.

Obviously it could be larger, and used to be, and in AMW it is growing, but even so! And I'm still a little confused as to what ports Austria is using...))

Well thanks, I am changing it to a frigate, some serious cut back. The station which it resides is a somewhat unknown deal with the (NPC) government of Sao Tome And Principe. There a small naval station resides a frigate, a submarine, and 2 transport craft. All of Austria's naval might ;) .

IC:

Austria once again states the the Mauritius having the full protection of the Austrian government and to walk the walk Austria is transporting 1,000 troops and several artillery pieaces to leave no doubt of Austria's intention to keep the islands.

Austria also suggests that it's willing to buy Reunion Island and/or Mayotte Island off of France for a considerable sum of 100,000,000 each -Silvarian Marks-.

OOC: Who is the French player again?

The Russian government fully supports the Austrian incorporation of this "poor, plague ridden African nation" and urges Austria to attend the Conference of the Holy League.

Maxen will happily meet some of Old Europe's leaders, naval power will probably be at the lead of my agenda there.
