disappearance of a ship

EDIT: Thread closed, everything is over.

OOC: yup, my 1st serious thread in a while.

IC: Recently, Kubra received an SOS call. Unfortunately, it was cut off. Then, we discovered that one of our cruise ships did not make it to it's destination. We suspected it to be merely late. However, days later it still hadn't reached its destination. We have suspected the worse. We have told our citizens and many are grieving. Many have lost someone in some way. Not only from the loss of friends and family on the cruise ship, but from suicide by those taken by despair. It puts us in tears to see so many suffer. Therefore, we feel it is necessary to find out what has happened to the cruise ship. However, we cannot do it without help. We are in a state of war, but we cannot just let this go on. So, the war will most likely end soon (not with guns). Although even if we do end this all for the search, it may not be enough. after all, we are only one nation. We do not have the capabilities to scan the whole entire ocean for these lost people. Therefore, we ask help from other nations to help find and recover the cruise ship. Even if they are dead, we can at least return something to those who have lost someone.

On another note, the laws previously put in to place have been repealed. They are costly too enforce. also, they affect our nation very little. So for the good of our country, they are to never be placed into action again. Now, we can put the enforcement money to better uses, such as finding the ship.

OOC: There, perfect spelling! At least, I tihnk so.

A new Alvin class had been prduced by the military engineers. However, it would not go to war. In stead, it would be used to help those searching for the survivors. The anti-submarine helicopter that was put in it was replaced by a long range rescue helicopter. It would run across the course plotted by the ship, gathering data which would be relayed back to the naval headquarters. Then they would search areas where it might have swerved off course.

As the Alvin class went along, it discovered nothing. For a while now they had not seen anything special. Although, soon the ship sunk a bit. they were puzzled at 1st, but then they came up with an explanation. Fresh water is less dense than salt water. so if it had recently rained, then the concentration of salt would be lower where it had rained. That meant there had probably been a storm. Many of the Seamen shuddered slightly.

IC: The Alvin class flashed the same welcome signal to them. Then the captain went towards the radio. "Has your ship recently sunk a bit", he asked through the mic.

The Cutter Kiten cut through the water like a knife. It wasn't that rough at the seas, but they we're making good time. Men searched through the binoculars, looking at Radar, Sonar etc.

"Nothing."

"Nothing yet Captain."

"Send out the Black Hawk, let's do an arial search."

The Custom Search and Rescue Black Hawk took off from the deck of the carrier.

"What is that?"

"Woah, all stop!"

The ship came to a sudden stop to prevent collision with the Kurban Ship.

"That was close. Maybe they're stranded." He picke up the mike and said "Hello are you having problems, over?

"Aye all 15 have sunk a bit, I am sending my ship towards you the others are falling back" "Then our suspicions are true", he said. "Fan out your ships, there has been a storm here". Then someone burst into the command room. "Sir", he panted. "We've spotted something. He gave the captain a telescope then pointed where he should aim it. Out in the water was a board of wood.

The kubrans anxiously await the coming of the board. Quite possibly, the ship had sunk here. However, that could not be the case. No doubt, this was where the ship went off course.

Is there an approximate location of the "lost" ship? The Empire would like to assist if it can but we cannot if we do not have an area to search. The Imperial Layartebian Defense Forces, which includes the Coast Guard, will definitely be able to assist if the ship is within the realm of our control, namely the North Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea.

OOC: You don't even have a possible location of the SOS? What kind of country are you? SOS calls are usually with the ship name and then the location immediately right after. You said it got cut off but at least say what the plot was.

You said it got cut off but at least say what the plot was. OOC: "Usually" is the key word here. Usually does not mean every time. The SOS recieved was a guy saying sos into a radio, quite possibly a civilian passenger. Most likely, he didn't know too much about SOS calls, save for what it stands for. Also, pinpointing the call would have been difficult. We think they were in a storm, due to static interference.

From the hangar, the helicopter blades slowly started twisting. They gained momentum, gaining more speed by the second. Soon, they were fast enough to sever a mans head off. Of course, that would not be neccessary. All they needed to do was get off the ground. Of ocurse, the ship was going at full throttle. When the chopper got just an inch of the ground, the hangar suddenly moved away from it. It gained more heigh as the ship moved farther and farther away from it. Then, it went and followed the ship.

Because a cruise ship, no matter how valueable, does not compare to the cost of mobilizing the aforementioned fleet, and would not fetch nearly high enough of a price to justify killing all aboard. Most derelict ships are obvious when they are found that they were abandoned, rather than killed. Our offer still stands.

After about half an hour, land was spotted. It was faint, but it was there. the men hurried to theri map to see where thisw land was. Although, they could not find it. They compared the courses that the cruise ship supposedly took to the ones that the ship was currently going on. There was no land. So, this land was undiscovered land. The ship continued forwards, but them it collieded with something. the water was too shallow around here, the ship could not go any further. The rescue helicopter rushed forwards, scanning the new land. It was vast and untainted by human hands. Then, it was spotted. There was a few bits of metal in the ground. Then, the remains of the cruise ship was spotted, smoke from a small fire rose up into the sky, sending a signal that there might be people there. after all, it was unlikely that the fire could still be burning without the help of humans. The helicopter lowered down near the ship. The pilot could see people waving for him. He oculd see their ragged clothes and even the tears in their eyes, Then, he spotted the mounds of dirt with flimsy wooden crosses on them. It brought a tear to his eye. Still, the cruise ship had beem found. The ordeal had ended, everything was over.

although, it had just begun.
