Magus Anton LaVey
23-05-2006, 15:42
If I may, I'd like to sum this up with Magus Anton LaVey's National Anthem!

"God Machine" by Acid Bath

The God machine is hungry
for individualism and ripe brains
the skull farmers do their rain dance
and pray the machine falls to sleep
she holds me close
and whispers wet
"there are cannibals among us."
mad in love with dry dead boys
in the backs of
abandoned cars
smoking the bones of children
plotting the murder of love

Strapped into the chair
the needle now descends
as they lick their cracking lips
their twitching never ends
blood beneath their finger nails,
swallow all my pain
dirty needles break the skin
suck hard as I drain
drain me
drain me
sunken eyes, a twisted spine
a whiter shade of pale
rockabilly man come to pound the coffin nails
inject my stomach full of
cockroach eggs
their machine is coming carried on a million legs
waking in the sleep of reason
winter is the forever season
lick thy mother's bleeding lips
from this glass of hate we sip
fuck the glass we pump the keg
kill conception at the egg
her chin is wet with someone's hate
love, disfigure, amputate
amputate
amputate
can you remember how it felt to be alive?
your god machine is cold
and dead your eyes they cannot cry
fuck your deities of dying love
we have shot them down from the skies above
screaming convulsing
my eyes are bleeding
be silent now and take your beating
I wonder how long you would live
with a bullet in your gut
I wonder how much shit you'd talk
if your throat was cut
I wonder what you'd sound like begging me
to let you breathe
I wonder how much pain it would take
to make you all believe
believe, believe, believe, believe
in me
I'm your god machine
fuck your god

HOORAY FOR CAPTAIN SPAULDING
From the film "Animal Crackers" (1936)
(Bert Kalmar / Harry Ruby)
Groucho Marx, Zeppo Marx, Margaret Dumont & Chorus
(All)
At last we are to meet him,
The famous Captain Spaulding.
From climates hot and scalding,
The Captain has arrived.

Most heartily we'll greet him,
With plain and fancy cheering.
Until he's hard of hearing.
The Captain has arrived.
At last - The Captain has arrived.

(Hives)
Mr. Horatio W. Jamison, Field Secretary to Captain Spaulding.

(Jamison)
I represent the Captain who insists on my informing you of these conditions under
which he camps here.
In one thing he is very strict, he wants his women young and picked and as for men,
he won't have any tramps here.

(All)
As for men he won't have any tramps here,
There must be no tramps.

(Jamison)
The men must all be very old,
The women warm, the champagne cold.
It's under these conditions that he camps here.

(Voice off Screen)
I'm announcing Captain Jeffery Spaulding.

(All)
He's announcing Captain Jeffery Spaulding,

Oh dear, he is coming,
At last he's here.

(Spaulding)
Hello, I must be going,
I cannot stay, I came to say, I must be going.
I'm glad I came, but just the same I must be going.
La La.

(Mrs. Rittenhouse)
For my sake you must stay.
If you should go away,
You'd spoil this party I am throwing.

(Spaulding)
I'll stay a week or two,
I'll stay the summer thru,
But I am telling you,
I must be going.

(All)
Before you go,
Will you oblige us,
And tell us of your deeds so glowing?

(Spaulding)
I'll do anything you say,
In fact I'll even stay!

(All)
Good!

(Spaulding)
But I must be going.

(Jamison)
There's something that I'd like to say,
That he's too modest to relay.
The Captain is a moral man.
Sometimes he finds it trying.

(Spaulding)
This fact I emphasize with stress,
I never take a drink unless - Somebody's buying.

(All)
The Captain is a very moral man.

(Jamison)
If he hears anything obscene, He'll naturally repel it.

(Spaulding)
I hate a dirty joke I do,
Unless it's told by someone who -
Knows how to tell it.

(All)
The Captain is a very moral man.
Hooray for Captain Spaulding, The African explorer.

(Spaulding)
Did someone call me Shnorrer?

(All)
Hooray, Hooray, Hooray.

(Jamison)
He went into the jungle where all the monkeys throw nuts.

(Spaulding)
If I stay here I'll go nuts.

(All)
Hooray, Hooray, Hooray.
He put all his reliance, In courage and defiance,
And risked his life for science.

(Spaulding)
Hey, hey.

(Mrs. Rittenhouse)
You are the only white man to cover every acre.

(Spaulding)
I think I'll try and make her.

(All)
Hooray, Hooray, Hooray.
He put all his reliance, In courage and defiance,
And risked his life for science.

(Spaulding)
Hey, hey.

(All)
Hooray for Captain Spaulding, The African explorer.
He brought his name undying fame
And that is why we say, Hooray, Hooray, Hooray.

(Spaulding attempts to speak)
My friends, I am highly gratified at this magnificent display of effusion and I want
you to know.........

(All)
Hooray for Captain Spaulding, The African explorer.

And that is why we say, Hooray, Hooray, Hooray.

There are no metal songs for communist-anarchistic societies or about horrible corruption. Neither about conlanging.

...

You don't listen to the right kind of Metal...

...And Justice For All is a perfect example of metal dealing with corruption. "Halls of Justice painted Green, money talking! Power Wolves beset your door, hear them stalking!" "Lady Justice has been raped, truth assasin" "Justice is lost, Justice is raped, justice is gone! Pulling your strings, Justice is done!" Some choice excerpts from the song. I think it's one of the few politicval statements Metallica ever really made. That and One.

I'll come up with some decent commie-anarchist metal given time.

I have every album by Metallica, except both Garages, Kill 'em All, and St. Anger on my Windows Media. I also have Sabbath's "Sabotage", "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath", "Paranoid", and parts of "Reunion". I have Appetite for Destruction, Back in Black, and various other random classic/hard rock. I have Zeppelins "Latter Days" and "Early Days" albums. One of the "Greatest Hits" of Queen, and alot of Lynyrd Skynyrd. I'm eclectic. ^_^

Anger SUCKED. I kept one song and sent the rest back to the library. "Some kind of monsterrrrrrrrrrr! This monster lives!" Because that was the only one that was really NOT sucky. Lars didn't even tune his heads on the snares.

I have Floyd CDs, but none on my comp, and I was never a fan of Rage. As demonstrated by the old Metal Militia class, I'm basically a Metallica fan all the way to the bone.

I wholeheartedly disagree with you on St. Anger. Yes, it was nowhere near true Metallica quality, there's several other songs on that album much better than Some Kind of Monster.

The Unnamed Feeling, Shoot Me Again...yeah, that's about it. I wasn't much of a fan of Anger myself...

...And Justice for All was probably my favorite Metallica album out of them all, with Master of Puppets coming in second. Taxes: Six4One - If we all give a little
Military: Sloop John B
Life in Rejistania: Lieber de Mück' in der hand als de Duuv off dem Daach (not sure about the artist and the exact spelling) Alternatively: Life - Des'ree
Romance in Rejistania: André - Without your love Alternatively: X-Perience - Circles of Love

Well, the Emperor's favorite tune is " Your'e Keeping Me Up Nights" by Asleep At The Wheel.

The current head of the Royal Air Force was doin' karaeoke in the Officer's Club the other night: " Lost In The Ozone" by Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen.

The Diplomatic Corps Glee Club recorded a choral version of " Same Road, Same Reason" by Acoustic Alchemy.

The homeless guy down under the bridge was belting out a killer version of "I'll Never Smoke Weed With Willie Again" , author unknown.

The Beatles White Album, in it's entirety.

Anything by Jonathan Richmond and the Modern Lovers.

The (unofficial) National Anthem: " Meet Me In No Special Place and I'll Be
There No Particular Time".

And, of course, "Crazy" written by Willie Nelson and performed by Patsy Kline.

King Nothing is from Load...

Anyway, St Anger was EXTREMELY dissonant. Lars didn't even tune his heads properly. He did it for a reason, but it still sounds REALLY bad.

Justice was good, Puppets was good, Lightning was good, Kill was actually rather immature, Black Album was decent, and Load was the start of a serious downward spiral which culminated in St Anger. I actually loved S&M though.

It was EXTREMELY immature musically. And poorly recorded(as are most first albums).

"Homicide" by Exhorder

I love pain, I live to fight
Homicide is what I like
Full of anger, and filled with hate
Violent scene makes me feel great
Kill for pleasure, kill for fun
Show no mercy on the helpless one
Run 'em through, until they're dead
Cut the guts out, leave the body lay there

Homicide

Hang the pope, spill his blood
Leave his body lying in the mud
Rape the whore, bestial lust
Slit her throat cause she's a lousy fuck
See the infant, take it's life
Lick the blood off of the knife
Violent love, violent hate
Feel content about the lives we take

Down on your knees
Piss on your pleas
Nowhere to hide
From homicide

Fuck the authorities, piss on your lord
I am the law, death shall be
Pleasure to witness, you become a corpse
There is no remorse

Pray to your god while you still have some time
Death is so near, lethal gasp
Slit your throat, violent rage
One more death, turn the page
Taste the blood of the victim
Possessed by the killing

Down on your knees
Piss on your pleas
Nowhere to hide
From homicide
