Cepean Light (FT Intro)

A few centuries ago, there was a great war. The true name of the war was forgotten, but the Cepeans would refer to it as the Nightmare War, due to the event that brought about their colony's foundation, the Awakening. The Nightmare War lasted for decades, tearing apart nations in a corner of the galaxy untouched by the galactical international community.

In the end, the nations had only fragments of their population remaining. They congregated upon an uninhabited world, negociating a treaty to end the war and create a new state, Cepea. They built a city colony there to enforce the peace, and provide neutral ground should it be broken.

The peace broke, again and again and again. Each time, the nations that founded Cepea were weakened, while Cepea was enriched in populace by refugees. In the end, the founding nations were crippled by their war efforts and broke upon themselves.

Cepea learned from the errors of it's founding nations, forsaking developments of war in favor of civilization. Ships were built to travel the solar system, but the more advanced flight technologies had been lost with the warmongering of the founders.

Until today. A fallen craft had been discovered, and was quickly reconstructed with the weapons removed and the architecture altered to fit the simple, arcing structure favored by Cepeans. It was the Dream, and more would be built to explore neighboring systems. In the meantime, a beacon transmission was made to call forth other spacefarring nations, letting them know Cepean was returning to the stars.

Empide Danascev had been elected to provide the Dream with executive authority. He was refered to as the captain informally, but the Cepean ruling council was very insistent against any sort of military trapping being applied to its officers. How 'officer' got through the red tape was beyond him.

In any case, he was now ascending the ship's main elevator up to the primary command deck. With him were a pair of freshly recruited officers charged with overseeing the ship's proper functions, along with four others who were already on deck.

Upon their arrival, Empide and the other officers took up their respective seats with the primary commander deck. His seat was naturally at the appex of the dome-shaped deck, watching over the other crewmen and the primary viewscreen while having intercom and monitoring controls directly on hand.

After a brief moment to overview the spelder of the sleek, gleaming vessel's majesty, Empide gave the order to launch. Antigravity thrusters hummed loudly, letting the cruiser lift off the launch area. The rear engines pulsed blue brightly yet quietly, and the Dream took off for the stars.

"Take us into orbit. The council wants us to test the basic functions of the Dream, and to greet any potential visitors."

CNS Istanzia
"Sir! Captain!"
It was unavoidable. Every day some idiot officer came screaming across the command deck waving a sheaf of reports declaring that, amoung other things, oxygen was still flowing through the ship, a meteor had been sighted passing the ship, or-
"Captain!"
"WHAT!?!"
The officer stopped short, breathing somewhat heavily, "Im up from Comms, captain. Were getting a signal!"
"Signal? What kind of signal? Let me guess. Its a pulsar, right? Look, theres pulsars everywhe-"
"Nossir! Its language, sir. Weve got a cypher-program working on it now, but what has been translated looks hopefull. The PO is only a few jumps Galactic North of here."
"Well, provided you are SURE its not a pulsar, set course for the point of origin."
The four kilometer long bulk of the Istanzia executed a suprisingly rapid turn and, with what would have been a really neat sound had there been anybody to hear it, vanished into hyperspace.

---

As above, the sound would have been really cool if anybody could have heard it.
With a flash of light that could only otherwise be achieved with a lot of explosives, an exploding sun, or a large special effects budget, Istanzia popped into existance within the system where the transmission had originated.
"Were detecting one ship, sir. And one planet with signs of inhabitation. Looks like theyve got a bit of industry going on down there...theyre building MORE ships."
"Good, that means they want ships. We can sell some to them. Open a channel."

Greetings,
This is the CNS Istanzia of Dontgonearthere, responding to your signal. We wish to greet you with a one-time-only offer to establish a line of credit with the GLACORP Banking Division with an excellent introductory interest rate.

"We really need to figure out a way to get rid of that opening. Cant we just rip the stupid module out?"
"Nossir, its wired into the engine core, for some reason."

The survey ship Discovery followed the signal to Cepea. Upon arrival, they also sent a signal.

Greetings to Cepea. The Alaskan Federation would like to open diplomatic and business relations with you.
Cepea
21-05-2006, 03:19
Empide smiled slightly as he received the transmission, the translation processor able to translate in a matter of minutes, and set up a reply transmission. He hailed the Dontgoneartherean vessel and sent the standard prerecorded reply transmission to such offers.

For Dontgonearthere: "We appreciate your business proposal. Please transmit the details so that we may forward them to the Economic Subcouncil."

For The Alaskan Federation: "Please be more specific in regard to your agenda in Cepean space."

He then proceeded to switch to standard transmission, toward the Dontgoneartherean vessel. He punched his intended statement into the com panel, and it provided a translation in the other ship's language. "With formalities in regard to response presently dealt with, might I inquire as to any other intentions you or those you represent may have in Cepean space?"
Dontgonearthere
21-05-2006, 03:26
"I must apologize for the first transmission, the high command thought it would be good for buisness for some reason. Ahem. I am Captain Kyorzchov of the DNS Istanzia, serving with the Dontgonearthere Naval Exploratory Forces. I am authorized by the Dontgonearthere Government to conduct basic diplomatic dealings with newly contacted races and governments. To answer your question, where basically here to sell you stuff."

Empide nodded understandingly. Fiscally minded, practical, violent only upon neccesity, unless there were some presently unknown factor. "I'm afraid I have not been imbued with the authority for trade negociations. I'll have to forward you to Administrater Dimn Octnorl to make arrangements. It should help speed things up if you open with an information exchange offer. I can assure you, you will want to speed things up."

So saying, Empide rewired the transmission to Octnorl's room so that he could manage negociations. Hopefully the other ship had enough rations to get through the red tape.

[b]The R.S.S. Angle (http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a172/Huntaer/Huntaer/Capital%20Ships/valkyrie-dorsalfore.jpg):

"Captain, we're recieving a transmission from a nearby system."

Captain Broswell swerved to the communication's officer, "Source?"

"It appears to be from a starship. Rather primitive impulse drives from what I'm reading. And they're sending a message on all frequencies."

Broswell raised his eyebrows. "What kind of message commander?"

"..... It appears to be a greeting."

"Well, you know Alliance protocals. Send 'em out."

Hello from the Huntarian Alliance! We are a small group of freedom fighters looking to restore peace and freedom to our former government. We are currently undegoing a routine test run of the ship's FTL Drives. We are interested in contact.

The EdSC Vega was on regular patrol duty, scanning the stars for cloaked ships and drug runners. There were plenty of these, yet the sight of a Military ship sent every one of those scum running with tails behind their back through 3 or 4 solar systems. So, that meant that patrol duty was left to small, light, heavily armed ships that quickly shot around sending Ultimatums to everything that moved and shot at everything suspicious. The Vega was one of those ships, a "Phantom" class Light Frigate. While on its farthest reach of it's run, the communications officer picked up a signal. He scrambled up to the Bridge of the small Vessel and reported to Captain Hodges.

Captain, we have picked up an unidentified signal on an universal channel.

Officer, what are the coordinates?

-42, 65, -97, sir

Must be a Pirate base then... All I know of there is a planet... Don't know of any life though.

Shall we investigate?

Yes, Officer. Heat up the Engines, and Prime the Weapons

The small Phantom ship the launched into another system with a flash and a small blue line. Once they arrived, after a scan, an examination revealed 2 ships in the sector, one in space, the other on the ground. Both of those were assumed to be Pirates. A short message was sent on a Universal Channel

This is the EdSC Vega. You are to surrender your ship(s) for inspection due to suspected Piracy and Illegal Activities. If their is any resistance or refusal to comply, we are granted by Galactic Law to fire upon you.

To be continued

To Huntarian Alliance: "Our ability to move to contact you is restricted by previous diplomatic encounters at our current location. We are now transmitting our current coordinates so that you may make more effective contact with the Cepean government."

"Executive Damascev, we don't have a prerecorded response to the newest arrival. They're accusing us of piracy." The officer looked at Empide expectingly, not knowing how they'd be able to handle a combat situation.

"Shields to full, hail the threatening vessel."

"Contact established through the shields, sir. Comlink locked receiving and transmitting."

"Unidentified vessel, please explain the grounds of your accusations of piracy against the flagship vessel of a pacifist state. If there is some form of galactic law our presence in our home system prohibits, then please take it up with the legal division of the recently formed Foreign Subcouncil."

OOC: Should've listened to Empide...

IC:
Administrator Dimn Octnorl couldn't help but be suprised at the Captain's abruptness, diving into a trade without a slightest understanding of his position. He'd have to set him straight. "Captain, there are a few things I am going to have to make clear before we can make any sort of exchange. First and foremost, you must understand that Cepea is a pacifistic government and will not tolerate any sort of weapons exchange involving its people. I assume this much is understood.

"In regard to our ship requirements, that would require a proper understanding of the nature of your technology, and the compatability with Cepea's own technology. If you could offer anything of equivolent financial value, we would be willing to provide the detail on Cepea's technology so that you can confirm compatability and/or adaptability."
Dontgonearthere
21-05-2006, 05:46
You will forigve us, of course. We can provide specifications of our technology and work with you to adapt it to your own, should it not be compatable in the first place. We prefer to keep things simple, and thus most of the...basic technology is easily adapted to most types of ships. If, of course, your own technology does not work with ours and cannot be adapted, we can provide the equipment you would require to construct maintenance yards and so forth of our types.
As to weapons, most of our ships are armed, but for a small service fee we can remove those items from the ship, although it is a hostile galaxy out there and some minimal form of armament to discourage pirate attacks and other similar occurances would be advisable.

Dimn nodded understandly at first, but seethed at the latter suggestion. "Understood. I'm transmitting the format in which your information is expected. However, it seems I did not adequately make the point about weapons not being tolerated by our government. Just a few decades ago I had a man sentenced to ten average lifespans in cryogenic stasis for possessing a firearm. The means to make war are not tolerated by our government, even when faced by threats as both our vessels are now by the other foreign bodies present."

Its your funeral. If you wish we can provide upgraded shielding technology, this would somewhat offset the problem of not having any weaponry for navigational purposes. A bit more expensive, but just as effective unless you go flying into extra-large asteroids.
Cepea
21-05-2006, 07:10
Empide smiled as he returned the hail of the super star destroyer personally, overriding the manual reply. "Your offer is unneccesary. We have no enemies to be protected from, and your methods for doing so are intolerable at best. If you are making a veiled threat of conquest, I find it highly unlikely you will be able to endure the retribution from the international community for open assault against a pacifist state."

Meanwhile, Dimn meerly waited patiently for the technological information. "Our shield technology is more advanced than you give us credit for, although I shall await your technological data before making any definite conclusions."

The craft groaned through the void, the battleship responding to a message. It was a reasonably powerful craft, partially a colony ship, and partially a warship. The Interdictor had scoured away all hope of living within the Realm's old boundaries, so the Realm had sent out craft to establish new colonies, new places to hide, and be safe.

It left the dimension known as Truespace, and coalesced with a blue glow, appearing in the Cepean system. It noted the system was occupied completely. The captain was annoyed at this, as it meant more travelling, and more energy wasteage. Nevertheless.. It seemed to be a strange situation.

A warship of some kind appeared to be readying itself against the Cepean craft. The captain smiled. "Disengage colony units into Truespace. We'll pick them up after we're done". This craft was strange, as it carried two interchangeable units, one colony one, and the second one built for war. One was kept in the nether-dimension known as Truespace at all times, and were switched at need.

The blue glow surrounded the innards of the ship, as an entire system flowed into place, energy flowing into the ship's system. Now, they were ready for a fight.

The captain opened his viewscreen, and prepared to speak. "Eh-hem! Attention, vessel which appears to be Sephrion in design. Firstly, you're stupid, and we hate you, you warmongering pieces of crap. Secondly, if you so much as touch these friendly young chaps here, we'll reduce you to a smouldering pile of rubble. Because you smell.

Oh, and have a nice day!"

The captain cut off communications, and prepared to fire. No damn Sephrion craft was going to annex any nice young friendly races, who probably didn't do anything except ask for trade. He smiled, and sat back, and prepared for the inevitable..

OOC: My captain is an old-fashioned human, and uses the word 'woman' as an insult.

The captain had a penchant for insulting people he'd probably fight anyway. Once he won himself a battle or two, and made some serious money, he'd probably buy himself a ship, and go around, merely insulting people, and blowing them up.

He waited for their response, and prepared several insults, thinking each one through as he did.

The 1.5 km ruby teardrop hung in the Void between probabilities. She was upon the Path. Re-entering Samsara was always the tricky part. Normal side-real universes were constantly breaking off...and technically she migh arrive at where without being at the proper When. Flow with it...forward...and wait for it...Now!

POP!

Magpie Cricket 2 popped back into real-space. She had followed the null-space, hyperspace, transwarp Eddies from the New Cravan System...What do we have here? More savages...too many barbarians with big guns for the Light Cruiser to safely interact in the proper Melii fashion. She and her Captain were in agreement. They will not make contact...let us see how the Primitive Cultures dealt with each other.

Cricket 2 slide quietly behind an Orrt body on the Extreme outskirts of the New Gaijin system.

Yes the Sephion Kitir were behaving as expected...they lacked the elegance to be truly of the Dark. They would never be of the Light, but perhaps the HHS Magpie was right. They were just mistaken Little Ones with rather large guns. Child Soldiers. Not really Evil at all. They still could be recruited to the Gray.

What concerned her was the Huntarians...they utilised a very similar drive to the Melii. Perhaps they know of the Demons Spirits...the phantoms of the Other Realms...the Abominations that the Melii had lost too so long ago. Perhaps they are of the Dark as well?!? She shuddered and the bronze Egg shuddered with her. Were these of the Allies? or of the long lost Malkir? or maybe of the Jedi and Sith that the Cravanians had spoke of? Maybe they were of the Gray! The crew all hoped this was so...yet no one was betting on it.

Many more Traders in such close proximaty to the other systems...surely Holy Terra was nearby. The Melii held out hope. Damn the Demons for damaging the Sacred Archives. They Fumed.

She rechecked her systems and expecially the phased cloak. No leaks. All systems nominal. They would watch the Barbarian Tribes...it was great field research and offered insights into primitve savage cultures. It wouldn't do to contaminate a hostile tribe with advance technologies. Cultural contamination was in violation of the Directive Concerning Primitive Barbarians.

She watched and queitly waited for interesting things to happen.

OOC: I need to avoid starting threads the night before a long work shift...

IC:

Empide sighed and opened up a broad local transmission. "Attention all present vessels. If you are here to trade, you are more than welcome to do so. If you are here to make war, it isn't going to happen. If you are here to annex us, we refuse. Tensions are high from what I gather, but only one party is acting as an aggitant. Sephriothan vessel, unless you are looking for something other than trouble, I ask you leave. Your presence is making things difficult for our potential trade partners."

Or if you prefer the damn Seperatists. It is much better to be underestimated that way you can see your overconfident enemie's suprise as you gut them.

Cricket 2 conversed with other selves on a secure ansible feed...yes these sectors were full of Gaijins. They were very close to the Daispora Events. Very close to Holy Terra. She would hack one of the more primitive Nets and see if they knew the location of Holy Terra.

OOC: For the purposes of not wanking to hell, I won't indentify your vessel Me li, yet. But I've found no record of you being able to cloak against all those sensor types. Veiw the temporal accord if you want proof of me using temporal weapons for an established period of time.

That and I've worked with Huntaer before, once again making assumptions. Hit me up on msn if you want to negotiate.

IC

Kai sighed, it was evidently gonig to be a long charade of functional diplomacy. He transmitted careful notations across the Xenonian vessel, neuralink communication systems informing all members of the protectorate in seconds of his impending decision and it's likely courses of action. AI, human, fur, and other speicies all lended veiwpoints and they were collated and discussed before the conscious mind could even acknowledge the discussion. A consensus was reached. Due to his habit of being a rather "age ol" commander, he shouted his commands that had been approved out on board.

"Allrighty everyone, I want a FULL sensor scan of the surrounding area. Hit the region with everything we have, string, temporal, dimensional, physic, quantum, I don't care what just use every sensor we have, find out if this is a trap. Bring temporal shields to power, and if nessecary bring any weapons online these people can't scan. I want to make this a gradual buildup ladies, genders, transgender, twogender and of course, quad gender when we take into account the prescence of our arachnid crew".

The ship suddenly began to move, and even as it did a swirl of communications and scans were sent out. The process was meticulous, and through the data it was anaylsed by the combined consciousness of billions of minds, scanned, processed and looked at by uncomprehendable veiwpoints in an attempt to find out what was going on. A result was found, an empty body, but it could not be positivily indentified. Interestingly, there were possible energy signatures comparable to huntaerian technology?

Honestly Kai wasn't too concerned, no huntaerian vessel of such size or stealth (assuming it was a vessel) could stand before a fleetship and hope to survive. In truth, virtually no ship in the universe could (and rightly so given they are called fleetships for a reason)

He sent out a general message.

Ladies and Gentlemen, assorted species, we'd like to make an announcement.

Firstly, hello sephirothian vessel, to answer your question I am Commandant Kai, of the Unit 06, Centripetal Centipede. I believe you military types out there would call it "fleet six". Of Ten ships.

Welcome to all, I see we've already begun a general conception of established wang beating, and berating. Can't say I'm surprised, but how about I make an offer? I don't know if you are aware of the firepower we could all unleash here, but I'm certain it won't be pretty, and given my combat expierience and tactical data on the majority of you it won't be favourable for anyone. So let's approach this peaceably.

Sephiroth will get his fuel from someone, perhaps us if we must. But that is really not a major issue, what sephiroth must do is lay the guns and the hostile atitude down and talk a little. In my opinion anyway.

Cepea, you are hanging your heads outside a combustion tube with plasma vents on both sides, but it's your choice. We'll have a nice yarn later, assuming you survive this. Holler if you need help.

Hypersptatial travel vessel, put the guns down. If you want to act the hero , take sephirothian vessels to a distant location and slug it out for all I care. Just not here, please.

Everyone else, contact me. You know who you are.

The comment was made with just enough intensity to suggest he was aware of more than one could say Kai actually knew.

one could say ...

The captain grinned. "I'm going to do my pirate impersonation". One of his crewmembers looked at him. "Please, sir, it's not funny."

"I'm going to do it!"

"No, sir.. why are you captain anyways?"

"Because I make awesome jokes. Besides, they look friendly enough. Cmon! Let's go!"

The lieutenant sighed. "Fine. Do the pirate impersonation. See if I care when we all get blown up. I'm still not entirely sure how you got to be promoted to captain.."

The captain grinned even wider. "Yar. My giant steel penis do be urgin' me otherwise, matey. Th' evil Sephies are lookin' menacingly at those young laddy-bucks over there, and 'tis me good piratical duty to protect them, ye scurvy dogs!".

He turned around, and spoke to the lieutenant. "So, Kopsfky, that was pretty good, eh? Those alien-things won't know what awesome pirate accent him them! Heh. Stupid aliens. So incredibly, incredibly stu-"

Kopsfky yelled, and hit the 'stop transmit' button. The captain, ignoring Kopsfky's cry, continued speaking. "Heh. You see, Kopsfky. That's why I'm captain, and I'm demoting you to cabin boy."

The lieutenant looked at him, annoyed. "It isn't funny, sir. It seriously isn't."

The captain just laughed, and mumbled "cabin..boy... go take care of.. my cabin", before collapsing in mirth..

Magpie was seriously erked...some of these damn barbarians seemed smarter than she had first thought. AND many of them were even Advanced! Those damn active scans itched. She sneaked deeper into the planetoid. Damn Barbarian Gaijins were possibly not even Primitive! It wasn't fair. How could they conduct a proper anthropological study with all of these Foreigners interfering with the local culture?

<encoded>
Noble Savage Admiral, Let us alone we are observing. It does not concern you!
<end>

She had to admit it wasn't a total waste. Magpie had seen that the greater powers were weaken by their greater size. A highly mobile and concetrated force of the Melii and Limey allies could probably hold out against one of the moderate sized Task Forces. It would get messy in a protracted combat, but it wouldn't be so bad. Well those seimic torpedoes would be pretty bad...but hmmm...<countermeasures algorithm>

AND at least there was another Tribe of glorious fools! They also seemed to rever the Prophet Cervantes! This Captain of Hyperspatal was of the tribe of the Monkey King! A goodly joke. ARGGGG! She wished she could be a pirate ship! How gloriously decadent and archaic! The solar winds pushed her emergency solar sail systems, but surely it wasn't the same as the waves of Holy Terra.

The plantoid's frozen interior was a bit boring after the first few klicks...she shifted her attention and danced along the ansible threads...back to her other selves. Now what do we have here?

ooc: I never said you wouldn't be able to see her! Stealthy not invisible...well invisible NOT nonexistant! <cough>
If you tried and we were UNLUCKY you probably could
IF you tried hard enough. Why would you bother?
The Cricket was just watching like the WATCHER guy in the comics.
AND come off it! Who is wanking? NO one could stand up to...the Maginot Line! Yeah so don't attack the Line eh?
Ever hear about Operation Rolling Thunder? The VC did alright eh?

:D I'll even humor you and give you some reasonable arguements.

While she can defend herself if forced to;
1.She is designed for stealth and running away.
2 she showed up at the extreme outskirts of the system and
3 did not even try to move inward.
4 most of youz guys would be watching the big ruckus insystem eh?
5 We signed no such temporal treaty...But the best way to defeat an enemy is to never have to go to war in the first place. What do we care for these barbarians? China had the Ming Voyages of the Treasure Fleet. Yet it never got around to properly colonizing the world in the 15th...in a few millenia...<shrug>and if the universe in a multiverse we aren't doing anything we wouldn't do.
know what will happen when you exceed the theoratical limits?
6. Maybe taking this way TOO serious? So are you open minded enough to tolerate some bigotry?
7. I'm sick of Star Wars and Star Trek! Light Dark bahhumbug. Gaijins...janzhou...foriegn devils trash.
8. Our drives and tech are different...our culture is different  read any good Asian folk tales lately?

OOC. Xenonier isn't human, nor do they honestly care who your culture is, they are merely here to observe the conflict. When sephiorth fires it usually causes a war, so it's only natural they'd drop out to watch. All that stuff was IC, and I made sure I didn't do anything blatantly unreasonable because I've never met you before and don't want accusations of me wanking by detecting you in a second thrown around. It's a precaution I like to take with new roleplayers, given first impressions stick. :)

That and I found an object out of the ordinary, nothing more. Xenonians have never lost a ground war, are a member of a 50/50 xenophobic/xenoloving alliance, have been stabbed in the back countless times and their closest allies are always at war. They're naturally cautious, always have been.

Although we are stealthy sensors may have problems picking us up. We aren't cloaked! We just checked to make sure it was working...just in case. We were in the planet's shadow. Hiding? Well...Maybe a little bit.

The Gaijin seemed to be letting her alone. She devoted a moderate amount of attention to the strange crafts. They had spotted her...tricky devils had to be watched least they do something Interesting. Three Magpies and a Bluebird had discovered no less than twenty-five civilizations in this neighborhood. The projected Enemies and Allies was a bit duanting even for her. They should have translated to an abandoned reality rather than have to deal with these devils.

Fox, Coyote, Wolf, and Hummingbird laughed and reminded her that they had been forced from several planes because of the Demons and the Phantoms. They were drawn to the Vitae. If the Melii lingered too long in the Lifeless Zones, they would know and come. Then they would eventually Swamp and Overwhelm us. It was far better to wander these crowded Realms. They blended in much better.

They were right of course. Stupid Order. She hated it when they did that.

"Officer, withdraw the Dream to a more secure position in orbit. If this turns into a history lesson, I'd rather not have us in the middle of it." Empide turned to his onship com while the officer saw about shifting the ship about. "Administrator, how goes the technical analysis?"

"Well enough. I should have results in a few hours."

"Don't let me slow you down. I'll send confidential docking invitations to all the present factions that haven't been threatening to take us over. Think the cloaked ship is safe?"

"If they have reason to be hidden, they have reason to be hostile. Unless we can find otherwise, we should assume they are similiar to those of the cloaked vessel we had originally sought."

At Docking Center Three, massive preperations were made. Delegate Nitiali Emtenig waited patiently as he was flown in, hoping he was ready for whatever awaited him.

launching from the main hanger bay, the shuttle Ambassador1 luanched from the Kryton. traversing the distance between ships shortly, it glided the last few hundred metres into the docking bay, entering the bay and settling into its assigned space.

airlocks and pressure hatches decompressing with a slight hiss, the main walkway of the envoy vessel lowered. standing at the top the walkway, clothed in his officers uniform and cape, just short of shoulder length dreadlocks hanging lose, Titilus strode forward to meet the diplomatic entourage. his ceremonial gaurd of six Aiel flanked him, clad in identical golden robes, carrying the bladed staves of their sect at the exact same angle.

Nitiali Emtenig smiled politely and gave Commander Railion a slight yet distinct bow of recognition. "I am Delegate Emtenig, representative of the imperial council of the Cepean people. I likewise hope that this meeting will bear profitable fruits for both our peoples. If you would follow me, the negociation center is in this direction."

Nitiali smiled politely as he turned to lead the way for the foreign representatives to follow. His blue skin was sharply contrasted by his solid white robed uniform. He had an aid on either side, a blue skinned female and a male human, both in white trimmed blue uniforms. There were four escorts bearing personal shield generators, their white and blue uniforms trimmed gold.

Kai was naturally inclined to send an affirmation and request to send someone. Given the nature of the other diplomatic party as a pacifist organisation, Kai decided it might be ironic to go himself. Given the nature of Xenonians soldiers as living weapons who could sustain punishment that would tear apart one of those oh-so-prevalent-in-the-galaxy-Space marines, he wasn't sure how they'd deal with his prescence. Nonetheless, all Xenonians had similar qualities in that respect, they'd need to learn to accept it sooner or later.

the Aiel eyed the escort with professional interest, both security teams sussing the other up in the bravado way of warriors, but beneath their drill ground alartness and exterior, they held themselves so as to convey they posed no threat.

following Diplomat Emtenig to the notiation table, Titilus surveyed the surrounding structures. interesting architecture, a change from the white curves, spires and domes that seemed all to prevalent back in the Topping systems. he entered the room dominated by a large table, high back comfortable chairs on either side with surreptitious doorways leading from either side, no doubt leading to rooms where out of the way conferences could be nogotaited. the honour gaurd waited outside within the antechamber so as to show no hostilities were entended, as was custom.

"So my Cepean counterpart, as this to be the first diplomatic contact between our two nations, what do you propose should be the first order of business brought to the table?" enquired Titilus of Emtenig. "Are we to wait for the other representatives to arrive planetside, or shall we get in a little trade before the diplomatic chatter gets underway?"
Cepea

OOC: It actually wouldn't be much of a change from Topping's architecture, other than there being less domes and blues in the color scheme.

"I think the most polite thing to do would be to wait for the other delegates. We wouldn't want to overinvest due to negociating in seperate rooms, and cross coordination would be too inefficient. Although your punctuality is appreciated, it would be unfair and provocative to show bias on this alone." Emtenig reached up to his concealed earpiece and nodded momentarily. Kai never took shuttles, he found them rather boring and ultimately, uninteresting in that everyone else took them, and thus they were predictable. Rather, he simply "appeared" above a convient outcrop, and landed smoothly from some insane distance that would have splattered a mere human all over the pavement. Sizing up the distance between him and docking bay three, he simply found his way there, jumping or climbing around whatever got in his way. Such events strengthened the mind, and the senses to any and all possiblities that made diplomatic negotation such fun ...

Meanwhile, the shuttle that was "supposed" to have been carrying landed in the deisgnated space, and naturally nothing got out. If this truly was a pacifist society Kai had all he needed right there on his person. Crounching on the top of the vessel, kai sat and waited for contact.
