The great four corners was a vast, mostly untouched resource not far from Strategic Grace. It's people were unstable but thier technology was primitive so nothing was done about it, after all what threat is a people like that to the advanced Strategic Gracians. But land was getting sparse in Strategic Grace, the forests were dissapearing, smog choked the cities, and this vast mosltly unused land was just over the horizon, like an apple, just waiting to be picked. It had been a subject of debate for many years, but after a final 61% vote barely passing in the council, Strategic Grace decided to unleash its might on the pitiful creatures who inhabited this great land and take it for themselves once and for all.
And so the war began with an air attack on a massive scale...
A hundred and forty top of the line F/B-8X SpartaN Fighter-Bombers and 200 Unmanned variants led the way, followed by one hundred sixty B-69 SkyMaster Stealth Bombers and 80 F/A-117X Nighthawk Stealth Fighters. Also 1,200 F-86D Sabres, which had been used as trainers but were now armed for combat support, screamed in low toward thier targets. Each wing of 100 Sabres was led by a F-51D Mustang for "old time's sake" as the Air Marshall put it, and a group of A-36 Apache attack aricraft(also P-51 derived) trailed the airborne armada.
Soon after the bombing, paratroopers would come, then the ships, none of the commanders expected the war to last more than a month.

as a very few of the aircraft came in on radar of the Fourth corner they alerted the other corners throught a general alarm network. the First and Second corners began hideing there forces and citizens anywhere they could, as they had no defence against such craft. the Fourth along with the Third knew that they could hardly detect how many aircraft there where so maximum precashons where taken, a message was sent to the craft.
"this is Fourth Corner Raido command to unidentified aircraft, you are in Great Four Corner airspace, please leave now or inform us as to why you are violating our airspace"
in the Third and Fourth Corners fighters where sent up, the third corner sent up 300 SPAD S. XIIIs, 500 Fokker D. VIIs, and 600 Bristol F.2 fighters and the Fourth sent 50 Me 262s, 200 A6M Zeros, and 300 P-51 fighters, the intent was to make sure the unknown aircraft did not do anything unwanted, they hoped that if things whent bad that they could do some damage to the attacking forces as they knew them, AA guns from the fourth corner also got ready fire at the unknown aircraft and possibly blow a few out of the sky. while the aircraft prepared for battle in the sky the fleets of all four corners had left the ports they where in, hopefully it would reduce the chances of being hit...
OOC: just making sure you know, but with inflation counted my nation can afford several thousand aircraft (i have over 4,000 WW1 level fighters, and about 2,400 WW2 level fighters, all this is not counting bombers of any type) and sory for my bad spelling and grammer, i am tired and i'll fix it in the morring if you need me to.

[OOC:That's fine but the F-86 Sabres will rip into your guys easily but don't worry I'll make it interesting on the ground.]
As the bombers began raining hellfire down on thier targets from 60,000+ feet, well out of range of any anti-aricraft artillery or fighters, The F/a-117X's each let loose a pair of sidewinders as they turned off for home. One or two decided to try and shoot down a few of the incoming ancient fighters with thier 20mm gatling guns, but soon all of the bombers and stealth aircraft was heading back to base at 600mph or more, much faster than any of the enemy aircraft. Now the flight of F-86D Sabres would get thier chance.
Swooping in low they stayed away from the fourth corner to avoid any AAA fire unitl it could be destroyed by more advanced attackers, that is if the bombing runs had not taken them out. They waited to draw the fighters in and then unleashed thier stinger and sidewinder missiles, over 4,800 IR guided missiles were screaming at thier targets before long, any survivors would surely be blasted out of the sky by the 20mm guns of the fighters.
Any visibile fortifictions, bridges, ammo or fuel dumps and any troops or trucks in the open would be targeted by the A-36 Apaches once the sky was cleared. And then the second bombing run would commence.
Paratroopers were less than 20 minutes away. And the Fleet was less than 1 hour from arrival.

OOC: and i know your forces will rip mine up...remember that not all my fighters are launched, but still a large number of them are...the rest are either on stand by or just not in use atm
IC:
the bombing had a devestateing effect on all four corners, however the slight warning they had of a possible threat provided time for some fortifying and in the case of artillery and tanks hideing...
the Sabres missiles ripped most of the Fourth and Third Corners deployed fighters up, the few that surrvived began engageing the Sabres, and though they where outmached and at the time outnumbered the remaining Me 262 and P-51 pilots where skilled and fought back as best they could...
at this time more fighters where preped, as command knew they needed more in the air...

The F-86 Fighters began to take losses, mostly from overzealous pilots gettting too close to the enemy, and not being able to slow down or turn away in time, crashing into the propeller powered and primitive jet aircraft.
The wing leader put out a call on the radio:
"This is Crossed Sabre to all Sabre elements, pull back to staging area 2 for refuel, RTB if you are low on ordance.
The leader of the bomber escort heard the call and gave his own order:
"This is Red Striker to all Striker elements, break off your escort and establish CAP at Angels one five."
The F-31X Cyclone Interceptors and F-27 Haste Stealth Fighters broke off and headed for the remaining fighters, and unleashd long range missiles as soon as they could.
5,000 Paratroopers huddled together in thier cargo aircraft, they loitered a few miles from the border and would wait until total air supierority was achieved before jumping in.

as the Sabres flew away and the new fighters fired missiles the last few Third and Fourth Corner aircraft where destroyed or felt that it was better to land, no further aircraft where deployed due to the very noticable air suppiriority the attackers had, if they waited for the moement they may find i use for there aircraft in the future...

The paratroopers made sure thier AR-56A1 Carbines and USMG-10 Sub-Machine Guns were strapped securely onto thier sides, took one last deep breath and jumped out into the black sky.
One thousand all new F-1947 fighters, fresh from the homeland, along with a squadron of A-36 Apaches swooped in over the troop transports and prepared to engage any AAA that they might encounter, but there was none expected from this, the First corner.
Once the naval forces arrived, they would seek to engage any vessels or coastal defense and then land a full invasion force.
A second bombing raid would be performed once the paratroopers could designate high-value targets accurately.

in the first corner, people watched as aircraft flew overhead. the solders set up forces for combat, in the event the enemy dropped troops from there planes, they had seen the fourth corner do this before. and it was the only chance they would have of hurting them...they however did not kinow if the planes where even bound for the first corner, and they would not be able to select exactly where to fight them if they did invade...

The lead paratroopers, mostly from the 21st Parachute Infantry Regiment and the 401st Pathfinders landed softly on the grassy field that they had planned on landing in, but the entire 18th PIR and the Ranger Company that jumped with them was blown off course almost 1 mile and several paratroops had to slide down emergency ropes since they were hung up in tree. Once they reorganized they moved toward the first enemy held town they saw, and the order to affix bayonets was given. The commander had issued special instructions, though not orders. to only engage archers, spearman or firearm carrying infantry with bullets, to conserve ammo, and to maintain the honor of the military. Machetes, spiked buttstocks, fighting knives and bayonets would be used against those who did not pose a severe threat to the saftey of the unit. Use of bullets was still up to the indiviual soldier though. As the paratroopers fanned out along the border, the lead Pathfinder, Master Sergeant Klipson raidoed for air and naval support:
"This is Bear Alpha-Six to Angel Bravo-Six, requesting fire for effect on target 359, mark 23, 034 . . . also requesting precision air strike on location 340, mark 20, 035, over"
Within minutes the sky was ablaze with naval artillery and aircraft dropped laser guided bombs.
In the meanwhile propaganda planes drop leaflets throughout the four corners, calling for surrender, just as the Navy brought its amphibous forces in rance of the shores.

the bombardment from the ships and aircraft shocked the troops in the first corner town of Felmore, still they had scouts in the field who had spotted the advancing enemy... throughout the bombardment artillery peaces where moved to into firing positions against the invaders, Chariots where sent to call in the nearest army strong enough to hold or take a city by First Corner standards
dispite the fact the city defences would be vastly outnumbered they prepared for combat. the commander of the city looked at his artillery. then back to where the invaders had been spotted. "send them a volly or our artillery" he said. "yes sir...artillery aim and fire!" said a near by officer.
Trebuchats sent huge chunks of stone flying into the woods as Catapults launched pots filled with flaiming oil and Polybolos fired, then several "Dae" Singijeon where launched into the woods...
Felmore defence force:
500 Solders
- 100 with Mongol Recurve bows
- 100 with Pilums
- 50 with Chu-Ko-Nu
- 50 with Sarissa
- 200 with Gladius
10 Scythed Chariots
10 Polybolos
30 Ballistas
15 Catapults
5 Trebuchats
20 more "Dae" Singijeon(10 used)
10 "So" Singijeon
------------------------
the Propoganda letters where less then effective for the time being, as word of the enemies attacks had not reached some people, and it had been only a short time sense the first attacks even occured. people knew that the surrender would not happen so soon, most did anyway

The ground shook, the trees burned, but the Elite Infantry pressed on thoguht the treeline towards the enemy. Watching thier comrades fall to the fire and rock bombardment was rough on some, who took to firing futily into the air, some hoping to deflect the incoming rocks. It may not of been effective but it kept their morale up as they neared the town. Upon getting within visual range, the force dropped into the prone and began crawling foward.
"This is Bear Alpha-Six to Angel Bravo-Six, we are taking fire from.... enemy artillery.. I guess, requesting precision air strike at co-ordinates 340, mark 19, 036, over"
They would wait for the close-air support aircraft to scilence the enemy trebuchets and catapults before charging the town.
