Story So Far:

Several months of unease have finally come to an end. Not a peaceful end, but to an end at which a war had erupted. The Baal Administration had been accused by freelancing rebels in the mountainous region, Jakal (In southeastern Dephire). Dephire is a corrupt nation. Alexander Ra'Baal is the current leader. The rebel force knew that what they had accused Him of would start an aroused suspicion, but they did not predict the Civil War that would be ignited by them. The Military of Dephire stuck to protecting the current Government, while many of the citizens began to Recede from the nation. Many thought that the current Administration took too much, and gave so little. Defenders of the Nation denied all accounts of corruptness.

"Yes, the Income tax is at 100%. But look at all the benefits we give you! Healthcare! Jobs! Food! You're still breathing, are you not? How dare you rebel against the Government that fed and clothed you! We should be the ones rebelling against you!" Replied High Council member, Jorhan Morliek.

"You took our land, and our Freedom! I never voted for Baal to be president! I don't even like him! He has taken our beautiful land and threw it all to *censored*! I want him to hand in his resignation, immediately!" Snapped back a hippy rebel. 'Blood for Flowers' painted on his shirtless chest.

"You don't understand anything, do you? Of course you didn't elect Alexander because if we gave any of you a choice in who should run this country, this nation would be in a complete anarchy! We provide you with free transportation. We give you jobs. We give you food. We give you recreational activities and parks! We give you merchandise! You recieve clothes, shoes, jewlery! WE PROVIDE YOU AN EDUCATION! All of this was possible by one man, and one man alone. His name is Alexander Ra'Baal. You should respect him better." replied the nicely dressed Morliek.

"Ha! Respect a Dictator! Who ever thought of that?! I would never respect a man who made it compulsory to be in the military! I would never respect a man who barcoded every man, woman, and child just to get rid of crime!" he spat at Morliek.

Current News:

The rebel forces have begun torching the small town of Relington. The police force their was too small to bring it under control. The Dephirian Government under Alexander's orders, marched towards the town.

The nation of Dephire is roughly the shape and size of Australia. Only there aren't any deadly creatures, except for humans. It has mountains surrounding the shores. The only way to get in is the bay. The bay is located at the South-Central region of Dephire. It stretches inward where it bowls. That is also where the Naval Ports are located.

Also. There are very few paths through the mountains. So it may be tough to plan a full scale assault through them.

To the real goverment: May we offer a hand in your trying times? We can offer the use of 500 confinsacted steam mechs. We can also offer medical or bio-help if needed.

Is this Past Tech, Modern Tech, Post Modern Tech, Future Tech, or Fantasy Tech?

OOC: So, Baal is the old government? And what are the economic policies of the two groups, capitalist, communist, socialist? I am very interested in joining this, as long as it stays small.

The old government was a well...it was somewhat of a dictator/communistic government. But it was strong in economics. Even though it was an Authoritorian government, the people were allowed to live their lives as they wished...but if they slipped, they would be punished. I mean. It may not have been the best, but it helped get rid of the "Stupidity" of many laws. So basically it was either the Government's way or Death.

The Rebellion Government wants to, after taking power, bring more freedom. I mean "Do whatever you want as long as you don't kill anyone." freedom. They would be a far right. (If you understand some american politics, you would know Far Right. If not, here is the basics.)

Far-Right: Extreme "Government is out of our Business."
Right: Democrats "Government is strong, but not too oppressive."
Middle: Basically puts both together.
Left: Conservative
Far-Left:EXTREMELY CONSERVATIVE (Doesn't like change)

Now on another thing:

The Technology is Post-Modern/Futuristic. Nothing Fantasy, example: Gundam

Assuming you hold true to your word of allowing DT to keep the land we were previously were disputeing about, the forces that are no longer needed to fight you will be diverted to the old government to help in assiting to gaurd your capitol, and deter the rebel forces.

Heh. Ooops. Big mistake there. Sorry everyone. I meant the other way around. (Kinda trying to blow off a headache here.) But yeah. The old Government is Omnipresent. So it's not Far Left. It's more of a conservative, one view government. Still keep in mind that the old government was still extrememly profitable, even without alot of freedom. People had Economic freedom.

The DT armed forces has been dipatched to gaurd your capitol city, so that the legislation there can continue. The national militia is currently being trained in urban warfare, and are due to the battlefield shorlty.

Explain the "IC". I know that IC stands for In Character. But what would an IC thread do?

It would be a separate thread were you can't post ooc's. You would come here for those. It is so the ooc comments don't interfere with the in-charatcer story.

The Emperor looked around at the different screens. He had been on the MSF Underdo for a short time on his tour of the fleet. He had been notified of the situation in Dephire just a short time ago and was going over intel of the situation in the main briefing room of the ship. The data was appaling but he decided that the Empire would stay out until he thinks that the Empire should intervene...
