Welcome to the world of factual presentation where you will make friends with like 2-3 people and enemies with the other 20 who didn't get in the top 3.

Looks good, but you might ask if the ancient structures still exist or ever existed (might have changed)

I promoted the Prattalean Tower as another possible wonder, being the tallest building on earth at the moment (believe it was 2010 feet?) It already over but anything more and the building would have to be a stick to reduce surface area and avoid drastic movement from wind.

And if Spiz builds flying cities I'm calling god-mod and grounding them.

African Plains are surely, a natural wonder? I make hundreds of millions per year on Tourism from approved nations. So, I guess, do the other TATO members.

Also, my Great National Hall, perhaps the biggest building in the world? (Not to be confused with the 'tallest' building, the GNH is tall, it is obscured by clouds sometimes, rather it is the largest building.

And no, your stupid floating/flying/farting cities crap is pure bollox. Grade A Crap-Ola! Its such an unbeleviable God-Mod that its hard to believe you even thought it could be feasible...a city...that moves. Can you imagine trying to move somewhere like NYC or LA or Tokyo? Its I-M-P-O-S-S-I-B-L-E. Perhaps in the year 5006 yes, but not in E2. I suggest you drop the idea because no one, and I mean no one, will RP it with you. You had a tough enough time over the enlargement of Baker Island, without bloody moving cities.

*cough* Qin Terracotta Warriors, Potala Palace in Tibet, Leshan Giant Buddha (biggest Buddha in the world!)*end cough*

Also, the Hanging Gardens in Iraq are the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, so OK should really only get one point for that.

Hanging Gardens have never actually been found. Therefore, do they exist at all?

The Giant's Causeway in Ireland is also considered a Wonder.

Pantheaa, its Stone Henge or Stonehenge, not Stonehedge. I really couldn't care less though, its just a glorified hippy gathering site.

Im not anywhere near there and im not mad. Dont worry, i like this whole idea. Ive been building an international court system in Windhoek. Will be ready after the next elections which will take place after the TN operation. Maybe that could be placed on there, if it goes well.?

Yes, in E2, the WTC still exists. The Sears Tower would be there as well but does not tower above the WTC. Actually, the tallest building in the EOL is the 2,057 foot tall "Tower of Luna," which looks like this:

OOC-

I might bring about the wrath of hatred with the following words. But I should start by saying not all of these request can undergo wondership.

I don’t know if im going to grant wondership to buildings that are simply tall. For one, peeps are going to get into a “Lets build a taller building war” Also I fear that players are just going to build and forget. I want some of the more modern structures to play a role in E2 rping, like the BISE or the Eurasian line.

It would be toooooo easy to get on the list. All you have to do is build a tall building. But if someone wants to do the world’s tallest buildings list, be my guest.

The WTC is a symbol of Globalization and free trade and of modern engineering. It is on the list not merely cause its is tall, but because of its symbolic nature. While the Empire state building is a symbol of New York’s massive skyscraper building and effort to industrialized. Built by workers who nailed nails while hanging hundreds of feet in the air.

So the question is, does these buildings play any role in the culture of our nature are they just large metallic penises sticking out of the ground. Don’t build the earth’s boner please. Because the Sears tower and Taipei 101 are not on the list.

The same is true with Constantine cathedral. Merely cause it is big won’t cut it. The Hagia Sophia is on there because of it’s connection to Islam and Christianity. It is the museum of religion after all. Notre Dame is on there because of it’s legend in literature (the hunchback of Notre Dame) and is one of the most interesting gothic churches. The church is a mirror of the style of medieval churches……gothic. Not to mention the first flying buttress built on a church. Keep in mind the Globe theatre would of never been on there if it wasn’t for Shakespeare. Shakespeare’s plays like the “12th night”(a woman dressing up as a man!) often showed us a division of society back then, between the young free loving more carnival poor class/young people, and stern often conservative older people/upper class. Once again the cultural and historical impact plays out.

Also want does the Freedom Tower in E2 stand for? Im assuming that their has been no terrorist attacks so its not a memorial.

Potala palace is pretty and looks awesome. But other then the Dalai Lama's crib i don't see any significance in the place. And if i was to label everyone's seat of power, that would be a lot of wonders.

Ayer's rock is simply a rock out in the middle of nowhere. It was an aboriginal holy site, but i would tend to reject it simply cause it didn't do much else besides be a holy site. The Serengati and the great barrier reef on the other hand is home to a large variety of animals. I would pick Devils tower in the US over ayers rock, if i wanted to find a big rock

Other then that I have accepted the following

Tokyo international airport
African Serengeti
Leshan Buddha
Qin Terracotta warriors

Once again the cultural and historical impact plays out.

But the Hagia Sophia is not a church anymore, whereas Constantine Cathedral is the seat of the Orthodox faith of nearly two billion Kreynorians. Orthodox Christianity has moved from Byzantium and Russia to the Pacific, and Constantine Cathedral represents the new Orthodox church the way the Hagia Sophia represented the old one. That aside, its also has a wonderfully decorated interior. Thus I am not advocating it simply because it is big.

The Pratallean Tower used to be a symbol of Visara Co. CEO's ascendency both materially and metaphysically as he acquired the rank of Herrgott (In German 'Lord' but literally 'Man-God')

As one of the last bastions of Aristotelean philosophy he despises the mindset of the masses and keeps himself removed from the people below by staying constantly at what *was* the tallest building on the planet. *grumble grumble*

But no matter, new project is underway and as you said it will be impossible to keep updating everytime some dumbass decides to build a bigger building. I think the new one will break some records as it will be built on the Ural Mountain Range making the tallest built in it's 'atmosphere' range (not the tallest from the center of the Earth sorta thing though as a hut built in the Himilayas would beat it, or even a tall building on the Equator due to the Equitorial bulge.)

For Bjornoyans these are similar to a 'Forbidden Palace' and stand not only for Bjornoyan economic dominance but the resurrection of ancient Bjornoyan hierarchy.

Or they could just be labelled as the 'World's Largest Dildo.' You never know when they might be useful.

LOL Bjornoya.

I think the Brandenburg Gate should be included, as it not only stands out as a great architectural work, but has represented the German people for hundreds of years.

Picture of the Brandenburg Gate.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/22/Berlin-brandenburg-gate.jpg

As copied from wikipedia.org:

"The Brandenburg Gate (German: Brandenburger Tor) is a triumphal arch and the symbol of Berlin, Germany. It is located at 52°30′58.4″N, 13°22′38.7″E on the Pariser Platz and is the only remaining gate of a series through which one used to enter Berlin. One block to its north lies the Reichstag. It constitutes the monumental termination of Unter den Linden, the renowned boulevard of linden trees which led directly to the royal residence. It was commissioned by Friedrich Wilhelm II as a sign of peace and built by Carl Gotthard Langhans from 1788 to 1791.

The Brandenburg Gate consists of twelve Greek Doric columns, six on each side. This allows for five roadways, although originally ordinary citizens were only allowed to use the outer two. Above the gate is the Quadriga, consisting of the goddess of peace, driving a four-horse chariot in triumph. The gate stands 26 m (65 ft) high, 65.5 m (213 ft) wide and 11 m (36 ft) thick.

The design of the gate was based on the Propylea, the gateway to the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. Berlin had a long history of classicism: first classicist Baroque and then a neo-Palladian, but this was the first Greek revival neo-classical structure in Berlin, which would become the Spreeathen ("Athens on the River Spree') by the 1830s, shaped by the severe neoclassicism of architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

While the main design of the Brandenburg Gate has remained the same since it was completed, the gate has played varying roles in Germany's history. First, Napoleon took the Quadriga to Paris in 1806 after conquering Berlin. When it returned to Berlin in 1814, the statue exchanged her olive wreath for the Iron Cross and became the goddess of victory. When the Nazis rose to power, they used the gate to symbolize their power. The only structure left standing in the ruins of Pariser Platz in 1945, apart from the ruined Academy of Fine Arts, the gate was restored by the East Berlin and West Berlin governments. However, in 1961, the gate was closed when the Berlin Wall was built.

In 1963 U.S. President John F. Kennedy visited the Brandenburg Gate. The Soviets hung large banners across it so he could not see the East Berlin side. "The German question will remain open as long as the Brandenburg Gate is closed" was how the Mayor of West Berlin, Richard von Weizsäcker, described the situation in the early 1980s. On June 12, 1987 U.S. President Ronald Reagan delivered a speech ("Tear down this wall") to the people of West Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate, yet it was also audible on the East Berlin side of the Wall.

Finally, when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989, the gate symbolized freedom and the unity of the city. It re-opened on 22 December 1989 when the West German Chancellor Helmut Kohl walked through to be greeted by the East German Prime Minister, Hans Modrow.

On July 12, 1994 U.S. President Bill Clinton addressed a speech to the people of Berlin at the Brandenburg Gate talking mainly about peace in post-Cold War Europe.

On December 21, 2000 works began to once again refurbish the Brandenburg Gate, this time using lasers to clean off soot and grit. More than 1,000 pieces of stone were also replaced. Estimated cost: 3,000,000 USD in private funding."

As you can see, the Brandenburg Gate is filled with culture and influence of the German people and represents their heritage and history. Seeing as how it represents history, culture, architecture, pride, development, strength, unity and heritage, I think it should be included on the list of Wonders.

I think I speak for all of us when I say:

'General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!'

-President Ronald Reagan speaking at the Brandenburg Gate, West Germany, June 12, 1987.

Wonder news-

The Kreynorian Wonder Restoration Agency is currently lobbying the governments of the commonwealth of Hirgizstan, Union of Roman States, the realm of Cotland and Ottoman Khaif for a restoration project that would return the anicent wonders to their former glory. For the first time in a ages, man will be able to stare in the face of the Rhodes Colossus are walk in the pressence of Zeus. The restoration will take years, but due to a great number of contributions, funding should not be a problem.

The Cultural Institute has always been interesting in preserving these wonders and has always been interesting in making sure that these wonders are around for are children's children. Therefore we thank the Kreynorian wonder restoration agency and the governments involved in the restoration.

Restoring the ancient wonders is a sweet idea. The Statue of Zeus at Olympia was the inspiration for the Lincoln Memorial. Zeus is sitting 13m tall on a throne, looking as though if he stood, he would take the whole temple down.

The Cymrean Space Agency's launch facility is called: The Aerie.

An RP with tours and a conference will start when The Aerie is finished.
