The new Maraquean school year was about to begin. Hundreds of thousands of school children across the empire would be getting ready to go to school in the coming days.

But this year was unlike any other school year - the empire had started accepting foreign exchange students from nations across the universe - and the first to be admitted was a girl from the nation of Imperial Lesbos, a young man from Romania, and a few other students from other nations.

The school in question? Hamburgh Academy, one of the most highly rated schools in the empire. A school notorious for it's influx of wealthy students from all across the country.

Martentopis is interested in the exchange program, although we would like the students in question to consider a few rules.

1. the students may not offend the country of Martentopis in any way, especially when other students are around.

2. the students may not, in any way, tell the students from martentopis that Maraque is better in any aspect, than martentopis.

OOC: Just so you know, for now the RP will just be based around the students from other nations in Maraque. Perhaps at a later time it could be based in someone elses nation. Also note that there are individual dorms for each student, and you guys will need to make bios for your students you're sending to Maraque.

Race/Sex: Human (Kaladori), male
Age: 18
Profession: Student at the Nietzschen Academy, an excellent and comprehensive but extremely disciplined education from the age of 7 upwards. Students are expected too be the leaders of their generation.
Appearance: Tall for his age Kale has the pale skin (due to the low levels of sunlight) and muscular build (due to rigorous training and harsh lifestyle) one expects from the Kaladori. In addition he had deep set green eyes and black hair.
Weapons: a Kukri Knife, the traditional armament of the Cadets
Skills: He has advanced survival skills, is reasonably proficient in several martial arts. He is also an excellent painter, has good deductive, mathematical and analytical skills.
Clothing/Armour: He wears the dour and austere uniform of a cadet, with the silver sword pin of a team leader on his collar.
Personality: Kale is a Questioner as they are called on Kalador, this is why he was chosen for the program. It is believe that his mind is to open of the true conditioning required to become a Watchman but the same open mind could make him far more valuable to the Rock (The fortress city which is both the political and military centre of Kalador) in future. He follows orders obediently, but Kaladorian ethics are unusual for example if a Cadet is caught stealing he is thrashed…. For being caught. Though at first he will probably come across as brutal and cold he will soften most likely as time passes. Also the Kaladori see emotions as a sign of weakness.

Theodora is one of the sisters of Viceroy Helena who is marrying Princess Siv of Maraque. She is an excellent student in Imperial Lesbos, known for her well done report on world cultures and religions. She can speak many languages fluently including Greek, French, Arabic, Turkish and others.

Name: Marie Nicollet
Age: 18
Marie is the daughter of a French nobleman (I've decided to add some French things to my nation) in Lesbos. She is shy but can do well in school, she has in Imperial Lesbos. She speaks French and Greek and perhaps others and can adapt to the Maraquean language if needed.

Name: Anastasia Arcand
Age: 15
Anastasia is from the Arcand family, one of the French nobility families of Lesbos. She is filled with knowledge, winning many contests, awards and trophies. Like the other two, she is athletic and has awards from athletic contests, etc.

Are we starting today? Just so I can work out things.

The various flights of the students who would be arriving in the Maraquean province of Hamburgh would be touching down momentarily at Hamburgh International Airport to start the first semester of what would be the first time a foreign exchange program would take place in the empire.

The students of many different nationalities - one from Kalador, three from Martentopis, three from Imperial Lesbos, and one from Romania - will be the first foreigners to experience the Maraquean school system which is regarded by many as the pinnacle of educational achievement.

The school itself was the home of King Tuan Lekan who founded the would-be empire five and a half centuries ago. Much of the original architecture was kept because of a 1923 Imperial Senate bill that outlawed the way buildings made in the timeframe of 1401-1899 could be revised to preserve historical landmarks.

The Professor of International History stood outside of the Grand Entrance Hall to meet the students as they arrived. The first car arrived;

"Hello. Welcome to Hamburgh Academy I'll be your guide this morning. I'm the Professor of International History." he said to the students from Martentopis. "Please step this way, the others will be arriving momentarily." The man said. "Your luggage will be placed inside your respective rooms."

The next car pulled up;

"Hello. Welcome to Hamburgh Academy. I'll be your guide this morning. I'm the Professor of International History." The professor said, looking a bit shocked to see the high profile security that came out of the convoy for the students of Kalador. The professor saw the knives. "I'm sorry, but knives will not be allowed on the property. If this is an inconvenience you can speak to the headmaster, but that won't do much. Now if you will, please step aside, the next vehicle should be pulling up."

Moments later the next car pulled up;

"Hello. Welcome to Hamburgh Academy. I'll be your guide this morning. I'm the Professor of International History." The Professor said. "You must be the girlsl from Imperial Lesbos," the professor said, seeing as they were all girls. "All of your luggage will be brought to your rooms. Now if you would all please follow me for the tour."


he lead them through the large building to the many different areas, including the Great Hall, the Lounge, the courtyard and all the other places that the students could go on their free time.

"... and next weekend if your parents signed the waiver we gave you, you will be able to go out into the town."

"But for now, lets proceed to the Ball Room, as the Headmaster has a few words."

The professor led the students to the Ball Room. The room had a glass ceiling that could see the beautiful clear sky outside. The walls were painted a deep red with white borders. There was a dancing floor in the center with elegent tile flooring around it. A large chandellier gleaming from the center of the room.

The room was already half full of Maraquean students. "Please have a seat everyone." the Headmaster said.

"I'd just like to say welcome to our foreign students who have decided to come to our most prestigious academy, and be the first to do so in the history of our nation." the Headmaster began.

"I hope your visit has been a great one this far, and that you will continue to have fun while you're here for the next few months." The Headmaster said. "But enough words. Let us all sit down and enjoy a lovely breakfast prepared by our great staff." The Headmaster said, as servers standing next to each table began to serve the students.

Marie, Theodora and Anastasia sat together at one of the tables. When their food was given to them, they ate and talked to each other about the Academy and their surroundings. They hoped that their time in Maraque would be great and they looked forward to it.

And so, they continued their conversation, thinking of how their time in Maraque would be.

Sorry for my extreme lateness. I had MANY burdens and I was not able at all to get on NS. I am VERY SORRY. If you don't want to do this or anything with me, I understand fully. Also, if Siv divorces Helena, I understand fully as well.

Who is the man who helped Siv have 12 kids? Also, Siv should tell Helena about the possibility of divorce. Also, I'm sorry I could not help in keeping this going. 12 kids is a lot for Siv. I hope she can take care of all of them. It could be like Cheaper in the Dozen Maraque. Also, I hear Jovan is Emperor. Nice job with the new look for your nation. 12 kids would be a good shock value. This is ok with me, I guess. Though I may want to do what Helena feels some what, I guess. Helena would be ok with keeping a strong relationship for the sake of the kids. They are still close and in love but they may have to part ways.
