I'm starting a new FT RP for other nations that are low tech FT nations or beginners.
Here's the set up:
In 2064 a series of massive asteroid strikes has killed almost 80% of the Human race. The survivor have banded together to form the United Terran Directorate (UTD). In 2072 an alien race known as the Sulian arrived on Earth and offered humanity advanced tecnology to achieve interstellar travel. In return the Sulian would one day ask the UTD for a favor. In 2103 they called in that favor. Humanity would go to war with an aggressive alien race known as the Invari. Little did humanity know, the Sulians had a long history of using other races to do their dirty work.
Here's the background info on the races:
UTD: future of humanity, high tech level due to Sulian "gifts", control 9 star systems and 21 planets
Sulian hegemony: extremely high level, isolationist, low birth rates mean they have a small empire and population
Invari Empire:low tech level, extremely militaristic and expansionist, have largest empire in known universe
All races use the same FTL drive. The Jump Drive allows instant tranport to a destiantion however the range is finite, the more advanced the race the longer their jump range. The drive is limited to certain points within a system, namely the points where plantery gravity wells cancel each other out, so the more crowded a system the more jump points it will contain.
This RP is open to races other than these 3 though, just post some info and I'll decide if you can join. However, the main 3 races MUST be selected for the RP to start. I'll be playing the UTD, but the Invari and Sulain are up for grabs. If you want more info or have any suggestions, just ask.
