New anti-mime laws

Kubra
16-05-2006, 01:18
Recently there has been an outbreak of territory wars by rival mime gangs. Something needs to be done aobut the mime crime. So, they have been banned. The law is as followed.

1. Mimes are to give up the title of mime.
2. All mime schools must shut down.
3. The mime form if entertainment is never to be practiced in Kubra for as long as the law is in place.
4. Unless you're a mute, you have no excuse not to talk. If you do not wish to talk, please us KSL (Kubran Sign language).
5. Charades may no longer be practiced outside of an official Charades competition.
6. Punishment for 'mimery' is 2 months in a government rehabilitation center.

More may be added or taken away from the new law pending the repsonse from other nations and citizens alike.

News Update
Recently the Prime Ministers palace has been bombed by aircraft of unknown origin. The bombs ripped into palalce, killing Him and his wife, including their 3 Children. We do not know the reason, but we believe it to be due to the anti-mime laws. Currently, we do not know what the armed forces will do in response, further updates as the situations progresses.

OOC: Actually, a good bit of money is put into defense. Go check, use the NS economy calculator.

The bombs slammed into the Palace, creating many large explosions. the Palace collapse forwards, toppling the houses of innocent people and toursits.

The prime Minister was implaed by a failing metal beam. It pierced right through the neck and severed his spinal cord. A failing stone slammed into his head, crushing it utterly. His oldest son had his rib cage collpased by his computer, which flew into the air when a bomb exploded near his outside window. The youngest son, only 2, had his left lung pierced by a flying piece of his rattle. The daughter whos age was in the middle took a direct hit, her body being destroyed utterly. The Prime Ministers wife was licked by the flames of a bomb before a golden decoration slammed into her leg. She bled to death in agony. Radar had been unable to pick up the bomber until it was too late. Still, the attack would not be taken lightly.

From the reserve airfield, 10 F-16s (generously donated) were prepared to counter the attack. They had no clear number of what the escort was, they just wanted it taken down. They were armed with air to air missiles, of course. 3 on each wing. The vulcan guns had their supply of bullets refilled. The F-16s were also fitted with a flare gun pointing downwards, just behind the front landing gear.

The guidance F-10Bs turned in a leisurely sort of way. Part of the Felucan stealth-fighter program, it was quite possible that Kubra has not even detected them.

Meanwhile, the B-1 (Which had lost its stealthyness when its bomb bay was open) and its two escorts, both emitting with their jammers, were a visable cloud of multiple, shifting, jamming targets moving away from Kubra at a decent clip. Of course they could be intercepted with enough afterburners.

The flight of 8 F-10Bs which had been the guidance for the laser-guided bombs, would follow behind the B-1 and its two escorts at about 100 miles, and somewhat to the west. The pilots weren't running their scanners or RADAR, and most of the time of the weapon officers was spent looking out of the cockpits manually while the pilots focused on flying.
Kubra
16-05-2006, 02:12
Radar had only got a glimpse of them. Of course, it was enough to keep them in view. They were actualy quite careless, flying without cloud cover. Night vision was used by ground forces in various vehicles ot keep and eye on them. Their coordinates were registered and they manged to get a rough estimate of the path they were flying in. These were then realyed to the F-16s. The f-16's used what clouds thier ere in the night sky, relying on thier GPS and autopilot ot guide them through safely. They flew silently, occassionally popping out to see the enemy. They would wait for them to be a certain distance ahead of them. Then they would activate their afterburners and launch their air-to-air missiles.

When the air-to-air missiles were launched, various warnings flipped on in the F-10B cockpits. Weapon officers switched on jammers, while the pilots wheeled the F-10s. Weaving back and forth, the jets would bisect their paths with each other, forcing the missiles to re-lock on their individual targets.

At the last few seconds, flares and chaff lit up the sky, making sharp split-C manuvers to get out of the killing zone. Even still, one of the F-10s was targeted by four missiles and simply could not escape. It was reduced to chaff itself by two hits, while another F-10 took shrapnel from a nearby explosion.

Coming out of their turns, the F-10s locked on and returned with a volley of sixteen AIM-1 Fang (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10212873&postcount=9) missiles of their own. The Fangs 'saw' their targets and acellerated to Mach 4 within a hundred feet of the launch craft. It transitions to a self-guiding terminal mode when the target is within range of its own monopulse radar set. The AIM-1 has a "home-on-jam" guidance mode to counter electronic jamming. With its sophisticated avionics, high closing speed, and excellent end-game maneuverability, chances of escape from AMRAAM are minimal.

The two flights, F-16s and F-10s continued to close at high speed. They would be passing by each other within seconds.

Although because of them going directly at each other, the missiles could not correct themselves sad enough. Sadly, it applied to the pilots too. That's why they were dead. Still, they did what they could. The remaining 3 fired off their flares before the missiles were within 3 metres of the fighters. Whether or not they hit was beyond them, they didn't care. One pilot had shrapnel lodged in various parts of his body. He knew he would not survie. Becuase of that, he angled himself towards the atlas bomber. He charged forwards, vulcan blazing. Unfortunately, he could not outrun the missile. It slammed into the rear of the fighter, creatinf a large explosion. Still, he had left his mark. We are an independent Mercenary group, entirely working out of the realm of the Leafanistani government. Currently we have the resources to wage a significant ground war and can assist your forces should the need arise. Send us a call and up to 150 fully trained, highly skilled warriors are on the call, for a fee of course. We can also get up to 500 more not as well trained soldiers on call too, for a lesser fee.

We are $2 million per deployment and can help you operate without running the risk of bringing attention to yourself.

Our lemmings run $75,000 per deployment.

As long as you provide a way into their country, we can make it happen.

Encrypted Transmission to Kubra

We are Sierra Visions Inc. and are willing to sell you advanced defensive equipment.

If you have a coastline we can sell you the extremely capable 225mm ETC Coastal Defense Gun.

Coastal guns have gotten a rebirth in many places due to the restrictive price of missiles. We offer the 225mm ETC Coastal Artillery gun, without rocket assisted shells can hit targets 165km away, putting its range on par with naval missiles.

It uses a shell with curved ribs, and matching deep rifling grooves in the barrel with a special sealing ring behind it and a slightly larger charge. The high pressure in the barrel created by the powerful charge mediated by the ETC allows the shell to travel a tremendous distance and come down with a powerful force.

Combined with an advanced tactical awareness system you are sure to have, these guns can begin firing from concealed positions at a much higher rate of fire and cheaper than traditional missiles and other means.

With this investment and installation on either fixed or rail based positions means you can pound enemy ships far beyond your territorial waters from land. The enemy will think they are being bombed and when combined with a sea-based attack the confusion they will cause will make the enemy fleet think you are armed with some sort of superweapon, which in a way this is.

The shells are either the KE variant using Tungsten carbide cores and at 100km they can penetrate 500mm of armour plating, or 6.4m of reinforced concrete. Katie shells can carry 10kt tactical nukes in the event they are necessary. Specially built shells with extending fins can deliver powerful fuel-air shells to 'trim' enemy ships above-water structures. Rocket boosting shells can add another 50km to the range at the expense of accuracy and weight of warhead.

These guns are waiting, disassembled, ready to ship immediately via An-124-200 aircraft to your nation to be rapidly assembled within a day and mounted on their railroad car assemblies for shipment to their fixed positions or stay mounted on the rail car.

Specifications
Calibre: 225mm
Barrel length: 34m
Weight: 300,000 kilograms
Elevation: +25 to +65
Traverse on rail mount: 25 degrees
Traverse on stationary mount: 190 degrees
Shell weight: 125kg
Muzzle velocity: 5120m/s
Maximum Range: 165km, (rocket boosted) 215km
Cost: 300 million US

Don't skimp on defenses, buy today and then invest in salvage ships to pick up the remains of the enemy fleet!

We can also clear out our surplus of refurbished T-72 tanks upgraded to be a formidable opponent on the battlefield. We currently have 1400 in stock that need to be moved now! They are standard T-72 stats but with Konkact-5 ERA and the Arena-1 Active countermeasures system. They are $1.5 million each.

IC:
The B-1 took hits along its 'spine', bullets chewing through the thin skin and around inside the body of the aircraft. Fortunetly the bomb bays were empty, but the offensive systems operator screamed as a 20mm bullet tore though his leg while he sat at his station. Clutching the limb, he fell to the deck with blood splattering out between his fingers.

The pilot already had the B-1 manuvering into a defensive right-hand turn and climb the moment the cannon began to hit his aircraft. A half second later, a burning hulk streaked past the nose of the B-1, bits and pieces of the shattered F-16 bouncing against the skin of the B-1.

The defensive systems officer looked up, "We've taken moderate damage to the bays and structure, losing pressure." The crew put on their oxygen masks, even the wounded officer, who by now was being helped by the defensive officer to staunch the wound. Vapor was leaking from various holes in the airframe of the B-1. The 235 million dollar aircraft was badly tattered.

As long as the surviving Kubra aircraft were breaking off, the Felucans would leave them. Briefly punching afterburners and making high-Gee turns to take themselves onto a route to catch up with the damaged B-1, and the wounded F-10 from the first missile volley.

The F-10 hit by the first Kubra strike continued to limp along until at last, something gave way. The wing tore away, and the aircraft tumbled end over end, disappearing into the ocean far below with its pilot and weapon officer.

They needed ot somehow outrun the missiles. It was just like bullfighting, requiring pefect preciscion. Of course, the missiles only had a range of 30 miles. The range of jets were longer. Although by the time they had outrun the missiles, the bomber was gone. They had lost the enemy. Still, there was that sunken jet. The pilot of one of the surviving F-16s tied his tracking beacon to a life preserver. It would send a signal that one of the subs would go to the location and track the downed aircraft. Pethaps the would fin sometihng important. "falcon 4 for base", he sid into his radio. "relay this to the naval base, send a deap sea tracking sub to find a downed aircraft".

The aircraft wreckage is strewn over half a mile of ocean due to the impact. Many of the pieces suprisingly enough, float. The F-10 is made of very lightweight composites. The weapon officer's body is in its life jacket, floating dead. The pilot's life jacket is floating also, but the pilot had been physically ripped out of it and sunk.

Still, there was some debris, 'though most of the heavier bits such as weapons and engines had sunk.

Actually, the officer still wore a helmet. As they pulled the dead body onboard the sub, it was soon evident that the weapon officer was a female. Removing the helmet perhaps would be the biggest suprise. It's not even human. It's a female rabbit anthro. (Anthros basicly look like disney characters. They're pretty much animals that walk upright, with hands and speech and such. They're 'furrys')

She wore the light grey flightsuit of a Felucan pilot, with the green sphere and orange pawprint flag patch on the shoulder. It's the Felucan flag with 'FAF'. Written across the brow of the helmet is the name 'Leggs'. On the breast of the uniform reads 'Lt. Legoling.'
