They had been planning ever since Palpatines revival. Militaries had been assembled, the greatest generals of a dozen nations, all to plan one single epic action. Coruscant had been considered and discarded. Kamino and Pentova were secondary targets. Kuat. THAT was their destination. The heart of the Imperial war machine. With the destruction of the massive shipyards contained there the Imperial Navy would be effectively stuck with whatever units it had. Seinar was destroyed by the Azahans before their fall to the Dark Side. There was nothing left to stand between the Federation and the crippling of the Imperial forces.

Now the call went out among the nations: A Call to Arms. A call to battle. Nations would gather. Fleets would be assembled. Worlds would burn…

High above the surface of Solarin the first vessels appeared, the Solari System Navy, small but powerful, led by the Intimidator, resplendent in its red and black. Other nations would come, other allies. The Inferno, the Abh, Orcs and Trolls and Tauren, all and more had pledged their support to this, the decisive battle of a war that had not even been declared yet.

The Hyren of Tidan had pledged their support too. Even now ships from the Confederation's systems were gathering at Gravity to make their way to Solarin. The Hyren had heard the call to arms, and they knew what was at stake. Again the Sith were preparing to purge, literally plunging the galaxy into darkness. And if that was not bad enough, Palpatine was leading it all again. The devil we know was back. If nothing was done now the darkness of the past would repeat itself.

Five now remained and soon there would be even less. The blue haired admirals stared at their glass screens while Imperial Admiral Gaf'ton just finished going over logisitics for new phases in this war. A war that would not end quickly and one that the Abh would not stop until they were certain that there was a decisive victor...whoever it may be. "I have made my final descision on this matter. The Solari have called for all fleets to assemble at their home system. As this mission is going to be fierce and fast paced, I need Admiral Trife and Admiral Spoor to handle this mission. You are to each prepare a full fleet for you excursions but nothing from the Symphonic fleets. Those will remain with Admiral Bebaus here for defending the empire. Admiral Wakapale should be returning shortly to aid in the defense with whatever she has left from the Fedral conflict. I will be in Hyperspace with a large force to act as a quick response force for any system or ally that needs aid."

Her long blue braid fell over her left breast while she stroked it lovingly. Blood red eyes moved from the screen to the Abriel. "What are we planning to encounter?"

"The target is a ship yard but we are expecting star destroyer class ships to be present on patrol along with whatever may be rolling off the assembly line not to mention orbital defenses."

Trife leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms. "This sounds like a bit overkill for such a simple target, not that I mind."

Gaf'ton smiled. "You're right we are being overly cautious. However there is the possibility of encountering reinforcements. I would like as many ships as possible to take some of the heat off of our allies. Also, pending on the success of this mission we may branch off and take out other targets to cripple the Sith even further. If there are no more questions, your ships and crew await you all. Fight bravely and remember always the glory of the Empire."

The room emptied leaving only Gaf'ton and Bebaus to discuss matters of defense while Trife and Spoor rushed out to their flagships, the Keldeij and the Latchkua. The capital of Lakfakallae sat in the depths of space amidst fortifications and a sea of ships. All of which would go on to fight the flames of war while many, would not return.

"Admiral Spoor, the Abh 3rd fleet is prepared to jump to Hyperspace. We are awaiting your reply." Cufadiss read the message aloud to the Baroness.

"Inform Admiral Trife that the 2nd fleet is ready and we are moving in position to make the jump to the Solari System."

Cufadiss's fingers were a blur as the transmission was typed out and sent through clear channels.

"Jump." was the final word before the darkness around the Imperial Capital lit up by extraordinary measures with numerous jump points forming all at once. Ship after ship disappeared until all were gone. All were gone to fight. There was a saying among some of the Abh, that when unsure whether to stay or go we go. They went though it was unknown how this war would end for them. They never thought about death or defeat. There was only one thing to do. Fight and continue the battle.

Throughout Yukatan Space ships and stations were being put on high alert, the Call to Arms has been sounded. Admirals and Generals began planning their assaults into Imperial Space. Back on Yuk Fliers and posters calling for people to join the Navy or the Marines were everywhere. People began filing into recruiting depots, going to war was a glamorous thing for the people.

The two fleets that were designated to be the spearhead onto the Kuat Offensive, The 7th and 5th Fleets, were forming at the jump point in Yukatan space. The 70 Ships were assembling.

Admiral Harper stood on the Command deck of the Halo a Marathon Class Cruiser, "When do we go?", Harper turned and looked at the Comms officer who said that.
"Soon, send a word to all ships, we jump in two hours."
"Aye, Sir!"

Once the word was sent out acknoledgments came back from all ships, everything was ready.

The Joint Revolutionary Command and Control Center was abuzz with activity. The admirals were planning for what was fast being known around the "Office," as JRCCC was called, as the "Great Raid." The attack on Kuat.

Marshal Torusumi gathered with Admiral Yushiro Nomura. One of the most respected Admirals in the fleet, he was in command of the 2nd Attack Fleet, one of New Dornalia's active-deployment fleets. He had a reputation for being brash, aggressive, and somewhat cranky.

Nomura said, with his usual candor, "No time for pleasantries, Marshal. What's so important as to rush me from Phoenix?"

Torusumi said, "Admiral, its about the Great Raid."

Nomura said, "Yeah? What about it? We're attacking farking Kuat. We're going to fark it up. What else is there to know?"

Torusumi said, "Admiral, if you would let me finish. I want to give you your destination and brief you further."

Nomura laughed and said, "Damn Army. You know you could call me on my phone. That's what its there for."

Torusumi then said, slightly exasperated, "Well, your phone was unanswered. I got that stupid Mentos message....and when I tried to use your e-mail, your stupid HoloNet filter sent it back."

She then sighed and said, "Anyway. You are to proceed to Solarin with the 2nd RAF. If necessary, take a Dra-"

Nomura said, "I don't need a Drama Casserole. I can do well with my existing vessels. Besides, that's like parking an Escalade in a bad neighborhood. Too much trouble. I can move easier with my existing units. Even with conventional weapons only, they will do well."

Torusumi said, "Fine! Do whatever you want. But my advice to you-"

Nomura said, "Yeah, yeah, be nice. Lady, if you were me, then I'd think twice."

He then left, and the 2nd RAF was on its way to Solarin.

The message reached the meeting chamber of the Grand Admirals. With the Dark Tournament still rageing they were in charge of the military and forgian affairs.

" We must ready our fleets to aid the alliance and crush the empire once and for all." Aoshi said takeing his chance to speak first.

Navras Wolf took the floor next " Why aid the weak little G.F.F.A. I say we aid the Empire and take large chunks of terrtory from our former allies."

" That would make us untrust worthy and the Empire would crush us the secound the war ended so that we did not do the same to them." Yomi said

Albedo who was still in secret a Grand Admiral even tho the goverment had placed a bounty on his head,shishio had made sure he still kept his postion. " I must say we should fight as little as possible and attack once one side wins they will still be weak. We could take out both in one swift attack."

" Either way the Age of Choas draws near and that is the age i will help bring into being whatever we decide to do."

The debate would rage for hours if not days but one way or another they would enter this war on one side or another. It was now up to these five men to choose the fate of Neo Zeta.

Emperor Darth Matter was surveying the city's skyline when a young Sith Apprentice came up to him , bringing news of the call to arms and the start of the great purge .

Darth Matter then called his Grand Adviser Darth Bane , who similarly advised to heed the call to arms and jump into battle . The Emperor than ordered the Viper Fleet and the Empire Protectorate Starfleet to move out and eliminate all enemies that dared to bring down the Galactic Empire and the Great Brotherhood of the Sith .

Darth Bane then sent a message to all fellow Sith Brotherhoods and Imperial Worlds and Systems to join the Imperial Call to arms to defend the Imperial Military Might and Sovereignity .

The Viper Fleet and Empire Protectorate Fleet were readied at moments notice under their respective leaders , Sith Lord Bror Jace and Darth Bane . The Emperor also ordered the Retaliation Fleet , Mation National Fleet , Obliteration Fleet , Droid Army Fleet , All Imperial Task Forces and Expeditionary Forces to be ready to move out . The Defender Fleet was readied to defend the Imperial System if need be ...

Three Tidani Battle Fleets arrived in the Solarin System. Admiral Kanya stood on the bridge of her flagship, the Riptide. She was the highest ranking Orothean that had survived the destruction of Aquila, and now she had been entrusted with command of the Tidani forces for the raid.

As the ships all arrived Kanya opened a channel to the Solarin Command.
Solarin Command, this is Admiral Kanya of the Hyren Confederate Navy. We have arrived and are ready to integrate our command structure."

Soon after the fleet arrived a Great White Narth sensor ship of the Tidani Adept Service also entered the Solarin System.

This was also happening in the other nations of the GFFA. Adept ships would help early warning systems and spread information across the network instantly. They would stay here until the conflict was settled.

I shall only do it as act of goodwill . But next time I wont bow to your pressure .

The call to arms was sounded, War was upon the GFFA. And as far as the Novaens where concerned so where they. The 126 Mk II HAwdons(OOC: not counting GP ships) where all put at their war footing. The planet of Nova was secure for the moment, but the Novaen trade planet. Nova Merchant was at risk, people knew where that was and that could easily be attacked. 40, Mk II Hawdon's with their full compliment of crew. to a deserted planet. The planet was the designated evacuation point, all where to evacuate through the stargate on Nova Merchant.

While the Hawdons didn't have shields, the Novaen scientists had just finished research and had designed as a cell based system, where the ship's shield was actually made up of much smaller units of shielding,each operating independently but as a group protected the whole ship, the ships also where given a little surprise for any enemy that arrived.

The Novaens started to adding the shields to the ships, It would take an estimated 2.5 years to fully convert all ships (12 at once taking 3 months)

There the Novaens waited for word of an engagement or enemies to attack.

And thus the call went out. All able-bodied warriors were put on alert, deploying throughout the Horde's holdings from Draenor to Nelvaan.

On the outskirts of the Solari system, the massive shape of the Kar'gath reverted out of the Nether into real space. Circular in nature, the gargantuan command ship was easily ten times larger than the silvery and purple vessels that emerged around it. Sleek Hellscreams and saber-like Kolkars slid through the inky expanse towards the rally point, flanked by the raptor-like Grimtotems and the linear-shaped Org'romas, Graaghoul and Vul'jins. High Warlord Saur'fang looked out upon the two fleets with pride. Assembled here was two-thirds of the Horde's current offensive capability. The largest Horde force ever assembled. The old orc warlord had every intention to attack Kuat first, leaving little left for his allies. It would be the Horde that crushed this honorless empire beneath its boots, securing once-and-for-all their rightful place as a power in the galaxy.

A grin cracked the orc's green face. They would cut the limbs of the Empire this day, leaving its head snapping futilely in the wind. Children of the galaxy would learn of this day from the songs that would be written. As his subordinates communicated with the rest of the Federation task force, Saur'fang helped himself to another mug of vis'kagg and decided that he wanted the head of a stormtrooper on his axe hilt.

A light in the ever encroaching darkness. A spark of hope. Jump points ignited all over the Solarin System as the two thousand Abh ships entered the system with the two flagships at the head of the column. "Chief, establish links with all ships in the fleet. Make sure all ships are prepared for battle at a moments notice. Get me a secure link with Admiral Trife and one with the Solari command."

"Yes ma'am."

This is Admiral Spoor of the Abh 2nd fleet on board the Latchkau along with Admiral Trife aboard the Keldiej of the Abh 3rd fleet. We are standing by to begin operations.

70 blue plips appeared at the GFFA Staging area, The 7th and 5th Fleets arrived in Solarin Space.
"Comms Prepare a Data Burst for the Solarin Ships."
"Aye Sir, sending now."

The Yukatan Attachment for the Kuat Offensive has arrived in-system. We Await orders.

A signal was sent to the ships gathering from No Endorse on an encrypted tightbeam.

281 ships (1 standard fleet) have been mobilized. Due to the blatant lack of stealth inherent in our technology, we are going to meet you at the target, hopefully scaring the heck out of them. Send for us when the time comes.

Our energy signature should be large enough that they believe us to be the main assault. Allow us to enter the area a short time before you do. We'll make sure their guns are pointed away from you.

OOC : Just one last post here for me . I'm decreasing my Military Size to its current state to make it more "realistic" .

High Councilor Kisharn was just getting ready to leave for the day when he sensed someone approaching his office. Just before they got the door, it opened and one of his aides came in.

"High Councilor, we have just recieved a transmission from The Solarian League, the assault on Kuat is a go. They are calling for all ships to rendezvous in their system before the attack commences."

"Very well, give the order. Send the 6th-9th fleets to the attack. Inform the remaining Admirals to begin defensive preparations. Alert all planetary defense crews and raise the army to alert status one. That will be all for now."

The aide nodded quickly and hurried out of the room.

Meanwhile in the space around Beta Aurigae VII...

"Admiral, we're receiveing a transmission from the planet. They tell us to take the 7th-9th fleets into Solarian space and rendezvous with the GFFA forces there. The attack on Kuat has been OK'd by the GFFA."

"Notify the other fleet commanders. We jump in five minutes."

As soon as the order went out, the Aurigean Fleets began to form up and then they jumped into hyperspace heading for the Solarian system. They would be there in just under 2 hours.

The 2nd RAF arrived near Solarin Space, per SOP. Admiral Nomura promptly radioed Solarin forces on a Secure Frequency:

"Solarin forces, this is Admiral Yushiro Howard Nomura of the New Dornalian People's Navy. I am offering the services of the 2nd Rapid Action Fleet to the operation."

"Admiral, we are coming in system now."

"Revert to realspace and notify the allies that we've arrived."

The Aurigean fleet came out of hyperspace and began to weave its way through the already huge mass of ships assembled there. Eventually coming to a rest near the head of the column and getting into attack formation.

"It seems everyone is ready sir. Dornalians, Aurigans, Abh, Inferno, Orcs, Bazalonians, and Tidani."

"Then let's do it. Prepare the fleets for translation."

Transmission to all allied fleets:

We will be emerging from FTL at some distance from Kuat. Upon our emergence we will move in under sublight to engage whatever anti-FTL platfiorms are in evidence. You will then plot an escape vector towards the hole we have created, once we are within the system. Any mobile forces will be targetted for immediate destruction by all forces that can bring their guns to bear. Stationary forces will be engaged from beyond the effective reange of the opposing guns. Any shipyards are to be engaged once local defenses have been destroyed.

"Major Kayhule, get me a communication link to the Latchkau."

"Yes sir."

Admiral Spoor, as our previous arrangement you are to remain her with your fleet and guard the Solarin system while we make the jump to Kuat.

On board the Latchkau, the message was relayed by Cufadiss. "Admiral Trife can be so simple sometimes. It is a simple plan and yet he feels that he needs to repeat it to me. I swear I can't bear the thought of him thinking that I am stupid. Acknoweldge his transmission chief."

The thousand ships in Admiral Trife's fleet plus the Keldeij pivoted and moved towards a safe location to make the jump to Hyperspace. The signal had been give to commence the attack and they were preparing to head to Kuat. Blue flashes opened the warp to Hyperspace and the ships were gone.

Admiral Harper got the message aboard his ship. After so long the ships under his command would actually do battle. After the finality of the situation past he told his Comms Officer to ready a Data Burst to all ships under his command.

We jump in Five minutes. Godspeed. I will see you all on the field of battle, Good luck.

Five minutes past and Slipspace Cascades opened up around the ships, enveloping them in Slipstream Renaissances, the Ships were off, off to the field of battle.

"We're getting the signal Admiral."

"Make the jump."

The starline unfolded and the Aurigean fleets sped towards Kuat to participate in a battle that would be the beginning of the end for US.

Admiral Kanya opened a channel to the fleet. She took a deep breathe and spoke. "Soldiers of Tidan. Today we leave on a mission to destroy the chains binding a whole galaxy. Some of us may not return from this mission, those who fall today will be honored in Hyr. For you will have died to break an iron fist and free a people from the military clutches of the sith. There is no greater love than this my comrades. Prepare for jump, and ready battlestations."

Then together the one and half thousand ships disappeared from the Solarin System. Surrendering their fate to history.

"So it's time, then."

The message went out to 50 of the Novaen Mark II Hawdons. With the Addition. "Action Code: Red - Authorisation attached" and with the codes necessary for the combined TFME and Hyperspace Bubble Jump.

The 214 Ships of the Solari System Navy disappeared, running the Wormways towards Kuat. They would lead the attack, and control the other fleets in this fight. It was all up to them...

"MELISHA! *paint-huff* Melisha, the GFFA has begun to attack Kuat."

"Kuat.... Isn't that where the Empire produces most of their star destroyers?" Melisha turned around from her desk, updating a questionier for a applicant who was applying to the GFFA Order's High Command.

"Yes ma'am."

"Verneal, I want you to go. Take some of our newer ships there. The GFFA is going to need our help."

"But.... Councilor, we're about to begin an attack on the next inner systems of the Huntarian Empire!"

"I know that. Where do they get some of their ships now?"

"...... Kuat. I understand Melisha. I shall lead our troops into battle."

"Thanks Verneal. Please, try to come back in one peice."

Verneal salutes Melisha, "Will do ma'am," and marched off.

Admiral Nomura looked at the message, and said, "So that's the plan, eh?"

He mused over the data, quickly formulating a plan. "Not a problem. Conventional torpedoes and Ion Cannons plus standard issue Demolisher Guns should do the trick. We'll move in a spearhead, and attack designated targets using sublight drives and using the emergency manuevering functions on our shields to minimize noise. I think we're set..."

He then wrote it down on his PDA, and then said, "Helmsman, I want you to inform the other vessels we will be following the Solarins and our allies into battle stations at some distance from Kuat. When we get in there, plot an escape vector to the hole created, so we can get the bloody fark out. Once there, await my orders."

The Helmsman said, "Aye, Comrade-Admiral."

Thus, they followed their allies into the maelstrom.

Now they sat and waited for a moment, bringing all of their weapon systems online and waiting for their allies to appear. Several vessels prepared their first firing solutions, targetting the nearest FTL inhibitor stations around Kuat. They needed to breach only a small section before they began to move in. The Intimidator, resplendent in red and black, guided the fleets maneuvers. Faster than any ISD, and larger as well, it would be more than a match for any mobile opponent they encountered.

OOC: Back from the dead damn ye!

As one, 200 vessels of the Solari System Navy re-entered reality. Just a few kilometers off from their intended arrival point, that was about as good as it got. Now they sat and waited for a moment, bringing all of their weapon systems online and waiting for their allies to appear. Several vessels prepared their first firing solutions, targetting the nearest FTL inhibitor stations around Kuat. They needed to breach only a small section before they began to move in. The Intimidator, resplendent in red and black, guided the fleets maneuvers. Faster than any ISD, and larger as well, it would be more than a match for any mobile opponent they encountered.

Nomura's fleet also came back from Hyperspace, as they moved in close to the Solarin Forces. The New Dornalians assembled into the classic New Dornalian Horseshoe Firing Line, only it was bound tightly, instead of the usual looseness that came with it, to minimize their profile.

Nomura then said, "Excellent. I want the fleet to power up their Demolisher Guns and Ion Cannons, and prep their conventional torpedoes. Hold the fighters until they deploy fighters. Target the nearest FTLi stations, and when I say so, dump as much fire as you can. BUT ONLY WHEN I SAY SO!"

The Helmsman nodded, and relayed the message. Elements of the RAF began powering up their weapons, but as ordered, did not fire.

The Helmsman said, "Ships report normal powering up. Ships will finish soon."

Nomura then said, "Good."

Warp after warp flashed to life as the thousand ships from Admiral Trife's fleet entered the Kuat system outside the FTL inhibitor zone. The last ship to make an appearance was the Keldeij. A tactical map on the flagship flared to life revealing the lay of the land along with other allied ships alongside it. "They're late."

Major Kayhule walked up beside him. "The rest of our allies will arrive in time. If not, then we still have enough ships to handle our mission. There is nothing left to do but commence the attack and finish our mission."

Trife pushed his sparkling tiarra up. "For once we agree on something Major. All weapons prepare to fire on my mark. Whitestars are to focus a steady burst to their main weapons, Victory Destroyers are to fire at level 2 on my mark. I want them to fire a focused steady stream at inhibitor stations only. The rest of the ships will deal with any enemy vessels in the area."

Power surged through the ships as power was rerouted to their main batteries. Ships hummed throughout the fleet while they waited for the command to unleash all hell.

The Tidani Fleet popped into existance as they arrived in the system.

Admiral Kanya stood on the bridge of the Riptide as they arrived next to their allies.

"All ships prepare for combat. Stand by for orders."

Then she turned to the communications officer. "Inform the other nations that we have arrived and are ready to strike."

The Novaens arrived as welll... all 50 of there ships arrived in a rough arrow head formation.... the Solarin League was here, the Dornalians as well as the Abh and the Tidani.

Final checks and diagnostics where being run and then the lasers had there targets... the FTL Inhibitors.

Minbari Flagship Adronado
"Shai Satai Freyr, we are recieving a transmission from the Solarians, they are putting out a call to arms."

"Rout the message over to my quarters, I will review it myself."

"Yes, Satai." the communications officer said, bowing, and walking back to his station.

Satai Freyr was the acting Alyt of the Adronado, as well as being a warrior caste representative in the Grey Council. He was the Minbari who dreamt of the Adronado class, and he was part of the push to move the Grey from it's traditional flagship, Valen'Tha, to the Adronado itself. He walked into his command room, and reviewed the call to arms sent to him by the Solari.

Minbar had come under threats as the Galactic Federation - Galactic Empire war had begun; Minbari security was no longer guaranteed. He had immediately decided upon reading the message that he would not dedicate an entire battle fleet to the assault upon Kuat. He did, however, wish to deploy something to Kuat to maintain Minbari presence in the GFFA.

He pressed his intercom line to the bridge, and said, "Comm, get me the White Star One. She's currently in Entil performing patrol duty."

The somewhat tinny voice of the Comm officer came back from the intercom saying, "Yes, Satai. The line is now open and encrypted."

Susan Ivanova's voice rang out through Freyr's communication, saying, "What do you want, Freyr? We're somewhat busy here, saving the Universe from the evil space dust." Susan had already made it known to the Grey that she was unhappy performing simple patrol duty, and wished to be put onto better assignments.

"Captain Ivanova, I have an assignment for you personally. You are to jump directly to the Kuat system and maintain a Minbari presence in the system. The Galactic Federation is staging an attack upon the Kuat Drive Yards, and we're sending you off to support the Allied fleet."

Susan hesitated for a second on the other side of the comm line, and said, "Sure, Freyr. I'll jump immediately."

"Wait, Susan. One more thing.."

"What?"

"Don't get yourself killed. Nobody needs cleanup duty around here."

The comm line clicked off after Freyr gave his warning..

White Star One - Entil System
"Crew, set course for Kuat. Send a message to the Solari and tell them that we're coming. We're going to proceed under full stealth, and hope to god the Imperial sensors aren't that great."

The bridge hopped into action, sending messages to all Allied fleet commanders stating their launch and mission, and the navigation people setting courses and plotting hyperspace routes. The White Star was an oddity among the ships of the younger races; it alone could make jump points without being over 500 metres in length. The blue vortex of jumpspace opened in front of the wessel and it entered, leaving realspace behind for a brief time..

Following the cues from their allies, the Horde emerged into the Kuat system from the twisting Nether. Antimatter batteries fueled their guns as the fleet took up position beneath the Kar'gath command ship. Torpedoes - what few there were - were loaded into launchers as the polaron beams of the larger vessels came online. Marines checked their rifles and weapons one last time, ready to repel the weakling clone boarders should it come to that.

The bloodlust was hot in their veins. The enemy stood before them, ready to be split open like a fattened kodo. The ships of the Horde practically quivered with the anticipation of the coming battle.

Songs would be sung of this day.

"Admiral we are approaching exit vector at point Oh-5," reported Captain Khan. "All ships are ready."

The blue-skinned and white clad Grand Admiral Thrawn nodded his head. "Thank you captain. When we exit hyperspace; have our ships form a phalanx."

"Yes sir." Captain Khan turned and started speaking with another officer.

Such fools I must say, throught Thrawn. Acting and communicating over highly tapped lines. Its like beginning a surprise attack with a marching band. No worthy adversaries this time I guess.

"Fleet coming out of hyperspace now sir," a ensign technician said. Thrawn watched the forward observation windows as the blue streaks of light flew around them from the ship exiting hyperspace. With a jarring vibration the Imperial Star Destroyer Right to Rule came out of hyperspace.

Thrawn had brought with him a large portion of his Fleet Titan, a force of elite Imperial Fleet officers and fighters. Fifty Imperial Star Destroyers, several dozen Dreadnoughts, Lancer frigates, and Nebula B frigates came out of hyperspace along with Thrawn's flagship.

"Comm Scan detects the fleets of the GFFA before our position. Our scanners report them as belonging to the nation of New Dornalia," Captain Khan said from his position by the main CommScan consul.

Thrawn watched silently for a moment as his Star Destroyers took up a capital-ship phalanx formation, the smaller ships taking positions between. He looked at a tactical screen and saw that the GFFA ships were not facing his forces, his having came out of hyperspace further away from Kuat than what he estimated an attacker would use for breathing space.

"Are we in range?" asked Thrawn.

"Yes sir, our heavy batteries are," replied Captain Khan.

"Very well, begin firing. All pilots to their fighters, launch upon my command only. I want a general advance of 300 kilometers, bringing all our weapons fire to bear."

Like the unleashing of a terrible rain storm, the group of fifty Star Destroyers unleashed their heavy turbolaser batteries onto the rear of New Dornalia's ships.

OOC: Would it be ok if the horde acted as a pirate/vulture force. We would clean up destoryed ships in search of raw materials, and might pick off a weakened ship or two. Is this ok?

The Aurigean Fleet came into existence behind the other allies which was fortunate because they had time to register Thrawn's fleet begin attacking the ships of ND.

"Admiral, we have enemy ships commencing attack on the New Domalia contingent."

Unperturbed by the information, Kingston glanced at his screen before saying, "Tell the Elite to take its fleet at hit the enemy. Have the remaining ships begin firing on the shipyards when we are within range."

"Aye sir, we have confirmation from the Elite, they are engaging the enemy."

"Coming into weapons range now Admiral," came a voice to Kingston's right.

"Have the Rule and Kisharn hit the FTLi generators. We'll stay in the middle and focus fire on the defensive fleets."

Two of the remaining three Aurigean fleets began to add to the allied assault on the FTLi generators, while the Midas and its fleet charged with weapons blazing towards the ill-fated Kuat defenders. Thrawn's arrival at the battle would give them only a false and momentary hope.

Meanwhile on board the Rule...

"Admiral, we are coming to weapons range now."

"Excellent," said Admiral Travers. "Initiate attack pattern 'Delta' while we are still outside the FTLi field. Then follow it up with pattern 'Beta 5'."

"Aye sir, initiating."

The Aurigean fleet suddenly disappeared as and organized fleet and then reappeared, after making an impossibly short jump towards the enemy, as a chaotic but controlled mass of ships hitting the enemy fleet from all directions, closing them in using multiple feints and pincer maneuvers walling off their escape.

"Launch the fighters," ordered Travers. This battle would be a quick but decisive one.

The newly arrived ships sent off sirens through the flagship from the Abh fleet. Major Kahyule fastly approached with the new report and information about the Dornalian line. "It seems the enemy is focusing their attack on their line."

Admiral Trife stroked his chin and looked down at the tactical map. Holographic images of their ships were strewn everywhere as well as the enemy's oncoming vessels. "Rambirds and Shadow Destroyers, break off from the main fleet and engage. We still have enough here to hold them at bay should they break in for us. Not to mention our allies our holding our flanks."

Major Kahyule saluted and walked off to give the orders and assign targets to the Rambirds. Shadow Destroyers and Rambirds shimmered from the Abh lines and disappeared only to reappear among the Dornalian ships. Rambirds were assigned their targets and Destroyers were ordered to standby and let the enemy come in a little closer. Only thing to do now was wait to let the hammer stroke fall.

ooc: Good job Thrawn (who I believe is a Thrashian puppet) :rolleyes: you've managed to GM yourself to the point of being able to magically listen in on GFFA channels, as well as OMGINSTADEPLOY11. Maybe talk to us before you pull that kinda crap, especially with insta-deploy, aight? Instadeploy and lack of OOC killed the last GE-GFFA conflict

As the Solarin ships left their home system, a full No Endorse fleet entered, lighting up the system's scanners like a strobe. From Dreadnoughts to a small contingent of Star Destroyers, Frigates to Carriers, the fleet was ready for any and everything that might occur.

Onboard the lead vessel, (henceforth known as the Sohryu Asuka Langley), the Helmsman yelled, "SIR! INCOMING FIRE!"

Nomura then said, "All vessels, increase power to rear shields-NOW!"

The charge came a bit late, as the turbolaser shots slammed into the rear ends of the ND RAF. Shields took the brunt of the damage, but rear thrusters were dealt minor-moderate damage. Engineering crews and the onboard nanite-healing systems began working to restore operations, as Nomura planned his counterattack.

HE then contacted one of his commanders, and said, "Commodore Michelin. Take half the fleet with you. Move underneath them, loosen up those lines. I'll take the other half and deal with these c*ckbags."

Michelin then said, "Understood."

Nomura then said, "All ships, activate abblative armor. We're moving in."

The ships then activated their abblative armor. While it wasn't invincible, the activation of abblative armor would certainly make the NDers a lot more resistant to enemy fire.

Half of the ND RAF then split from the main RAF Contingent, under Nomura's command. This force then moved upwards, and then made a rapid 180-degree turn, using its shields to aid in manuevering (one of the RPed out benefits) and its thrusters on full power, and then organized itself into a claw formation, manuevering to the top of the enemy fleet and dumping Conventional Torpedoes and Demolisher Guns onto Thrawn's ISDs, targeting their towers and weapons.

Meanwhile, the other half moved under the enemy lines, and dumped fire upon the other ships in the enemy force, targeting weapons and vitals as well.

Fleetwide transmission:

Maintain your formations. All units in range, fire as you bear. There aren't nearly enough of THEM to stop us. Keep your ranks and take them out as best you can.

A sextet of massive shells ripped free from the Intimidators aft batteries. Paired shells leapt from several other ships, including both Dreadnoughts and a Battlecruiser. All four ships were tossing out 600 ton shells, and the dreadnoughts were loaded for AM Penetrators. When those weaponsa struck home, hundreds of thousands of megatons would be released. Even a single ton of antimatter would be enough to do massive damage. These were jammed full of it. 10 tons of antimatter in each shell, enough to make tunguska look like a firecracker.

OOC: Too lazy to switch nations. I'll switch when I have less stuff to do as MM.

OOC: I believe the war is closed. So it'll be a nyet.

"Sir... Enemy contacts bearing down on the Dornlian ships..." stated the Conn officer...

"Institute Standard Attack Gamma fleetwide, targetting Communications then engines" stated the head Captain.

Despite the FTLi fields in place whether by allies or the enemy installations Novaen ships popped in and out all around the Thrawnian ships... blasting their lasers for about or second or two before. This occured because the TFME-based Hawdon class used a totally different core tech and so are unaffected by any FTLi known by the Novaens.

There was one ship per star destroyer

"Warlord!" shouted a tech, which was really not that necessary as it wasn't that loud on the bridge of the Kar'gath, it just made it sound more dramatic.

Saur'fang turned to the Nelvaanian, half-bored. "What is it?"

"Enemy vessels approaching Dornalian squadrons! Should we assist?"

The old orc waved a hand dismissively. "They can handle themselves. Open a channel to the fleet." Stared at the shipyards ready to be burned. "Maximum thrust! Put the honorless pinklings to the flame!"

And so the ships of the Horde Confederacy accelerated towards the front of the Federation formation, already beginning to fire long-range torpedoes at the defensive platforms.

Kanya watched as the Imperials arrived, fired, and were fired upon.

"What are your orders Admiral?" Asked the bridge commander of the Riptide.

"They will be fine. Continue the assault as planned." Then she saw the Horde forces pull in front. "Follow the Horde, and keep us with them. Today we will strike at the machine of human oppression for all species of the galaxy."

The Tidani fleet pulled along side the Horde. Their two nations were similar in many ways, and the Hyren Tribes held great respect for the Horde. They were proud to die beside them in battle.

OOC: It has been agreed before the commencement of this thread that Star Wars canon technology be accepted and that FTLi's are not used. Primarily, that with them, there is the small snag of Kuat being almost impossible to get to. If there are some who are not happy with it, you are of course welcome to leave the thread.

Kuat Shipyards are perhaps the largest most technologically advanced construction yards within the Galaxy. For over twenty thousand years the system has been a primary producer of unique and revolutionary capital ships; sadly it is this trait that has made them the target for rebels and pirates for equally just as long.

Regarded as one of the most heavily fortified systems in existence Kuat often basks in its security, but today of all days the shipyard was of course prepared for retaliatory invasion. The attack upon Jurai, the invasion of Anagonia was all scheduled to bring about the attack upon the Empires biggest sinkhole target.... Kuat Shipyards.

However, the Emperor had called the Imperial Navy away, the bulk was fighting and securing the Anagonian systems to assist in the final victory, while the remainder was concentrated within the rebels capital system Jurai.

ISD Grandslam

Captain Oruic Rashin now leader of the small but effective Kuat garrison was not the most happy of persons when he received data telemetry of a rather large incoming force. It seems that the GFFA were making their "move."

"Hardly subtle of them?" Rashin commented dryly as klaxons erupted across the shipyards. From busy technicians to lowly staff evacuation procedures flew into action. The most senior departing their control stations first.

As hundreds of small blips fled to the planet below the lone Imperial Star Destroyer Grandslam retreated into the depths of the system; defended by the ominous figures of several Golan V platforms....

But not everyone had been evacuated........ Within key intersections and control rooms isolated personnel began implementing command protocol Sixty-Seven, the timer, and auto locking sequence set for centralised command.

As the Imperial forces prepared themselves the GFFA fleet arrived en masse, their IFF signatures dominating the stellar background. Before them lay a maze of scaffolding and metal. Some sections shielded, some not. While deeper inside, planet Kuat itself raised her planetery shields, while orbiting stations manned their guns.

The board was set, the pieces moved, who would force a checkmate?

"Tactical analysis?" asked the Warlord to his chief advisor, a wizened troll not three feet away.

"Only one of da Sta Destroyahs be visible now, Warlord. Many of da small ships be retreatin', and der wards be goin' up big time."

"ONE destroyer? And a smattering of platforms? Against the full might of two Horde fleets, let alone the combined might of the Federation? Hardly a challenge! Helm! Take us in! Beta and Gamma squadrons descend along the Z axis and prepare for Miis'rah maneuver!"

The gargantuan Kar'gath and her squadon of capital ships began deploying their first wave of fighters and locked on to the Grandslam.

A Jedi had once told Warlord Saur'fang that "size mattered not". As his command ship and her support cruisers bore down on the lone and comparatively tiny destroyer, he certainly hoped it was true. Otherwise this was going to be a very dull day.

OOC: Goddamit I hate being late.

IC: As the Yukatan Ships followed suit and exited the Slipstream into real space, sirens went ablaze as enemy contacts were sighted on LIDAR one after another.

"Sir!, we've entered real space and were getting enemy contacts ahead of us, commands?"

Admrial Harper turned in his chair, to the massive BattleNet Screen.

"Have the Corvettes form an Anti-Fighter picket around the rest of our Fleet, Keep me posted on the MAC Cannons and when they are ready to be fired. I want all ships to maintain current heading and speed. Give me firing solutions on the closest Enemy target."

The 10 Corvettes split off and formed an anti fighter picket 2kms from the Main Yukatan Fleet. The rest of the ships charged their MAC cannons and moved in with the rest of the GFFA Fleet.

ooc: I never saw anyone put a 'SIC (secret ic)' on their messages. And my nations capital is located less than four systems away from Kuat; the fact that my ships were orginally going to meet up with Fedral Union and Thrash they were already prepared for hyperspace jump. And once kuat detected solar guy coming out of the blue, an emergency message would be sent out. So yes, I can deploy that fast.

IC:

"Emergency manuevers," commanded Thrawn calmly. The top entire line of Star Destroyers shifted their vector angle, bringing their arrow heads at the New Dornalian attack pattern.

"Incoming missiles sir!" called a tech.

"Lancer frigates to calibrate their weapons fire to torpedoe speed!" called Thrawn.

With a brilliant show of well trained operators and gunmen, the Lancer frigates who had been positioned at the 'top' bore their point defensive cannons and wiped out the incoming missiles. Several however got past the Lancers but were in too few numbers other than to impact and explode on deflector shields.

"All fighters to launch and engage enemy units. Fourth Star Destroyer Squadron is to continue advancing forward. Dreadnought forces to the rear, keep any forces there from interfering. All main batteries concentrate on those New Dornalian capital ships!"


Squadron after squadron of Tie Interceptors, Tie Bombers and Tie Defenders launched from the hangers of the Star Destroyers.

"Onyx Leader, this is Onyx 5. I have the ND flagship on my scopes."

"Copy that Onyx 5, we'll go into attack pattern pheonix; that'll keep them on their toes."

"Right sir."

Like clouds of death the Tie fighters manuevered through oncoming laser fire and unleashed a hail of fire onto what their onbaord CommScan system said were shield generators. Firing off a salvo of proton torpedoes they banked up and away.

"Yeeha! That got 'em!"


The Star Destroyers of Admiral Thrawn's force split into two groups. The majority had changed vectors to deal with the ND attack. About seven others however continued forward at high speeds, continuing to fire their heavy turbolaser batteries into the rear of the other ND force. The battle was getting interesting.

Imperial Palace - Throne Room

Emperor Darth Matter was listening to the day's reports when a frenzied messenger bursed in and interrupted the hearing . Several court officials and jesters gazed unfriendly eyes at the young man who dared to interrupt a hearing session .

"What is it , young one ."

"My lord , Imperial News Network has reported GE military movement against GFFA forces ."

"Excellent . Now is the time to join the fray ."

Then turning to his Grand Adviser Darth Bane

"Bane , I want you to take charge and send the Retaliation and Empire Protectorate Fleets to assist GE forces in cleansing the cosmos of the GFFA ."

"Yes my lord ."

Then Darth Bane turned and quickly strode away to give the orders and prepare for the attack ...

Several Days Later :

The combined might of the 2 fleets totalled 781 Ships , mostly made up of Frigates and Cruisers and several Star Destroyers and several Super Star Destroyers - Wraith , Enslaver and Executor . All under the command of Darth Bane and his second in command Sith Lord Marcus .

The flotilla emerged out of hyperspace , switching off their telesponders so the GFFA ships would have no idea who Darth Bane's ships belonged to . Then he sent a message to the combined GE Imperial Navy :

"I am Darth Bane , Grand Admiral of the Empire Protectorate Starfleet and Retalitation Fleet . Emperor Darth Matter has sent me to assist you in vanquishing the accursed GFFA ."

Then giving a order , the 2 fleets closed formation with the Imperial Navy and unleashed a deadly tirade from their Turbolaser , Heavy Turbolaser , Ion Cannons and Heavy Ion Cannons .

Together , the flotilla launched a combined number of 150000 Proton Torpedoes , 150000 Concussion Missiles and 10,000 Shield Killing Penetration Truncheon Torpedoes ...

The Twilek Class Motherships moved into formation and activated their Magnatron Heavy Shield Web around the entire GE Navy ...

OOC: No, I never said that, but my allies had already pressed the attack before I got there which would probably mean that they moved towards the shipyards and away from our rendezvous point, unless I misunderstand what pressing the attack means. So, if we follow that thought through then we reach the point when your ships attacked ND from behind. Since your ships arrived before mine and moved in behind ND, that would leave your rear flank veneurable to an assault from my ships which arrived after you began to attack ND. Now, we've established that the allied fleet has moved away from the rendezvous point and you attacked them from behind which would mean that you are both facing away from and distance wise away from the rendezvous point and I emerged from hyperspace, saw you and attacked you. The whole situation seems pretty easy to follow but that's just me.

OOC: And I point out that it's definitely possible to track ships in hyperspace, at least as far as SW goes.

The Gauss Guns, those fine products of New Dornalian engineering that served as flak, on every vessel opened fire on the enemy torpedoes and TIEs. They took some out, though the rest got in and did some damage. But otherwise, it was not enough to totally render them dead in the water....

Nomura was somewhat frustrated at the ill-effect of the Torpedoes. Clearly, they had anticipated them, and used their Point Defenses to wipe them out. Clever.

But so was Nomura. He cursed them, saying, "F**kers" just as another round of turbolasers hit Michelin's force, though less damage was done because of the previous power transfer to shields, and to a lesser extent, the abblative armor.

He then looked up, saying, "All Ships under my command. This is the Admiral. Target the Lancer Frigates' Point Defenses with two bursts of Demolisher Gun fire, then follow up with Ion Cannons. We can't do s**t with the torpedoes until they're down. Then, we move ahead at high speed. Deploy fighter screens, keep those fighters off of us.

Michelin, can you hear me?"

Michelin replied, "Yes, sir?"

Nomura then said, "Michelin, I want you to keep speed. See if you can go off from their flanks, and fire at the enemy again, with energy weapons only. Deploy fighter screens. Move quickly."

Michelin then said, "Aye."

Nomura's forces then did as asked, as his ships fired their formidable Demolisher Guns onto the enemy Point Defenses, and fired Ion Cannons at the Lancers' weapons in general just to be sure as they moved quickly, passing over the enemy fleet as New Dornalian fighters began moving out in x-shaped kill teams to hunt the TIEs. Michelin, meanwhile, deployed his own fighter screens to cover his rear, and then moved to the flanks of the enemy forces, firing Demolisher Guns and Ion Cannons at the enemy's command centers and weapons.

ooc: Try to look at it positivly. They have massed ships here against a largly superior fleet. It's a chance to cripple some of their members now and achieve a major goal.

Individual commanders in Abh fleets when divided had no need of a supreme leader. All commanders knew their jobs and they did them well. However Admiral Trife had control over a certain aspect of this entire fight. "Major Kayhule, take out those Star Destroyers."

"Yes sir."

Black as death and just as silent, the Rambirds received their orders. Their prey had been selected. Life flowed through them. Fins swayed back and forth as if they swimming through space. It was time for the metal to meet the meat. Sharks among their allies they were positioned here to support the Dornalians. The bow of the ships divided in two to reveal a capital class Ion cannon. Blue fire ripped through the darkness as they reached out for their targets. Ships shimmered and disappeared only to reappear near the Star Destroyers travelling at full speed aimed right at the command towers of the massive ships. It was a well known weakness, one that the Abh intended to exploit. They flew at speeds of darkness while sometimes there were two Rambirds aimed at a single ship with one diving for reactor cores while the other went for the command decks.

Not to be outdone, Shadow Destroyers began moving in firing their main energy weapons. Red hellfire ripped through formations while the Abh began to spread out among their Dornalian brothers. Some even going ship to ship with the imperials. The idea was to push them further away from the Dornalian fleet.

Admiral Trife stood smug on the bridge of the Keldeij. All in all the battle was not a complete loss though they had encountered more resistance than expected. Still, it was nothing that couldn't be handled. "Sir, we have detected a new arrival that appears to be an ally of the enemy. I'm detecting a large number of ships. Almost equalling our own."

Trife looked down at the tactical display map. The number and class of ships were arrayed out before him in full beauty. Battle lines were drawn and every so often a small flash lit up the screen as a ship was rendered from this plane of existance. "Whitestar Squadron, break off and attack. Four to a group in diamond formation. Bring down their firgates and cruisers as fast as possible. I haven't seen anything yet that can catch up to them. Victory Destroyers, wade in and take on any Star Destroyers you see including the big ones. Rambirds will be in to help support. Missle frigates, you lead the attack."

Silence was all that went through the main section of the Abh fleet. That silence was broke as missle frigate launched a massive volley at the Mation fleet. A varitable field of torpedoes and mines launched to break the middle formation of the Mation fleet. Whitestars went to full burn as the buzzed in close to frigates and cruisers firing everything they had on the first go round. Blinking an eye would cause an observer to miss them. Those were followed by the Victory Destroyers as their forward batteries opened up with about the same power as a turbolaser. Streams of energy poured out with the ability to strafe across as ship or just punch a hole clean through.

Captain Rashin relished the invading horde. His lone Imperial Star Destroyer within the center of the system was being targeted by two entire warfleets. "I guess they see us as a rather large threat." He said rather snidely. "Do we have any further warfleets inbound?"

"Long range probes and sensors say that's a negative captain. I think this is all we have present."

Rashins eyes grew wider as the nourishing savor of victory licked his lips. "Gentleman." He said; his Core accent piercing the air. "Today we will witness the final destruction of the alliance, and the end of this pitiful rebellion. Mark my words comrades in arms; the Emperor has foreseen this. His gaze has come back from the dead to lead us to victory. It is only with our Emperor that the Galaxy can finally have peace. Remember these words my friends. Remember them well, for in years to come, you will tell your children of this day."

A small crackling erupted from the comm station. "COUNTDOWN COMPLETED COORDINATES PRE PROGRAMMED"

A small voice echoed up from the control pit. "Captain; what about our allies?"

Rashins glare looked down. Send a small communication, heavily encrypted of course. They have twenty seconds to vacate the Kuat system, or they will die.

ENCRYPTED IMPERIAL ENCRYPTED
Friends, you have entered this system in glorious defence of your Emperor, but today, we must ask that you abandon your allies. You must flee Kuat immediently or suffer eternal damnation of death. You have twenty seconds.

The vast array of Imperial infrastructure began to swarm communication channels and sensor bands, the amount of radiation making even the simplest of scans next to impossible.....

The Grandslam entered Hyperspace, her exit corridor defended by the swarm of turbolasers engulfing the system. The Golan V platforms finally coming to life.

From around Kuat, Orbital repair yards vast in their size and numbering far into the thousands quickly forced their way into Hyperspace. The great structures of scaffolding and quarters accelerating within the blink of an eye to many thousands of times the speed of light. Their target; the assembled GFFA fleet. Ammunition dumps, torpedoes, half repaired capital ships, all colliding into the enemy force, the plan perfectly timed, the operation expertly carried out. The foes traditionally falling to the Galactic Empire.

"Sir, something's happening in the system!"

"Like what?"

"Everything coming online sir, MASSIVE energy signatures, looks like a dozen fleets are in there."


"Shoot. Scrub the mission. All forces are to be contacted immediately, Total Recall, Abort. Attach Case Zulu, just in case."

"Aye sir." The bridge had gone deathly silent. Case Zulu was never used, even in the most realistic simulations. It had only one meaning: Invasion Imminent. EVERYTHING was going to disappear from that system. Whatever it was, they didn't want to deal with it.

"Sir, massive Hyper signatures are rapidly approaching, exit jump in one second."

That was it for the fleet. Some 200 vessels had been deployed to spearhead the drive on Kuat. Less than 100 limped away before the shipyards slammed into them. The abort code had gone out, but who knew if it had gone out in time? All that was left was to make it back to the safety of Solari Space, and try to rebuild what they could. All their heaviest units had survived, but the bulk of their cruisers and destroyers were smashed. The shipyards had been destroyed, but the Federation had certainly taken a beating.

OOC: Anyone bitches and I kill them. If there was an issue with this, I'd be the firs to complain. As it is, I have my reasons for accepting it. Take your losses, and a greater prize awaits. Kamino is still on, BTW. Covert Op version. I think we'll go with version one.

(ooc:How did you do this Sith? The shipyards are a ring around Kuat. To jump at us they would have to go through the planet, or if they can actually break apart wouldn't we have seen this happening?)

Nomura then said, "S**t....s**t...." upon hearing his Weapons Officers report the new threat....

He then said, "All forces, enter hyperspace-get the hell out! NOW!"

The ships of the RAF entered hyperspace, though 40 ships, mainly Trotsky Escort Carriers and Zaitsev II ISDs, were lost in the sudden and fierce counterassault. By the time they got back into friendly territory, it was all a blur...and Admiral Nomura simply said, "What the f**k just happened?"

He then mused, and said, "Crazy SOBs. They used the repair yards themselves as a weapon....those crazy, crazy SOBs."

"Sir, the Light Side just came out of the factory less than a month ago. She hasn't even had a proper shakedown cruise."

"This is it then. Test all of her systems. Make sure we can detect all of the Empire's ships."

"Empire? The Kirtir are here?"

Verneal sighs and shakes his giant head, "The Galactic Empire, fool. The GFFA's enemy. Darth Palpatine. Different leader. What do scans get?"

"Weapons fire. I read friendly ships. One is the New Dornalians.... I detect Abh.... Neo Zetan.... The lot."

The Navigator's council began to beap loudly, "We're comming into the sector General."

"Good."

OOC: Even though I don't like it, I'll accept it.

IC: Warning klaxons and lights erupted on every ship as the enemy station slammed into the Yukatan ships. The STLE Generators didn't recharge fast enough, out of 70 ships only 20 were able to make the jump in time. The rest perished in a fireball of death. Admiral Harper was lost when part of the station collided with this ship.

Solari Space

The 20 Yukatan ships that made it back arrived where they started. Captain Cole on board the Cruiser Midwinter Night prepared a Data-Burst back to Fleet HQ about the Success, and failure of the Kuat Offensive.

Nav. Jenkins turned and faced the young Captain.

Perhaps with greater planning the GFFA may have avoided this?

First of all; I have always claimed my Kuat Drive yards to be a system large shipyard filled with scaffolding and sections. That part was obvious. Secondly, this has absolutely nothing to do with the orbital construction shipyard; though it is there.

The Kuat Drive Yards Type II orbital repair yard was a massive type of space station designed to build or repair behemoth Imperial warships.

The yard was 1,200 meters wide with 9 tractor beam-equipped berths. It required 4,114 crew and could accommodate 200 troops during repairs. A Class 4 hyperdrive permitted the maintaining of a geosynchronous orbit or evasive maneuvers.

Rancor's Base, the headquarters of Warlord Zsinj, was parked over Dathomir. It was here that Han Solo discovered the Iron Fist undergoing repairs.

I clearly stated orbital repair yards.

They have hyperspace engines.

Kuat is a system wide shipyard. IE system wide.

GFFA has accepted canon technology in regards to star wars. They have not used FTLi's in return for me not using my own.

So all in all, there really is no problem here. I made two posts in regards to the operation. One; with a countdown. Two, the final stages of the countdown.

I flooded communications channels and sensor bands to hide the power up. Tell me, what's the problem with this?

When the Imperial Kuat Defense Captain was half-way through speaking Thrawn suddenly jolted with a start.

"All craft to pull off the attack!" he opened a broadband wire. "This is Grand Admiral Thrawn, all ships to break off attack. Fighters get to a hanger if you don't want to be left behind. All ships angle down by 160 degrees, make emmergency hyperspace jumps! Rondevouze at point alpha-bravo. Do it!"

All across the area the ships from Thrawns fleet halted their attack. Fighters made a mad chase to return to hangers. Several Star Destroyers already angled down away from any enemies and jumped into hyperspace.

Thrawn listened to the comm as the officer reached the number 15.

"We're jumping in 10 seconds admiral," said the captain.

Lancers, Dreadnoughts, and other smaller ships jumped into hyperspace. The last few Star Destroyers jumped as well.

IC: The Abh fleet had not been on the frontlines as they were securing the rear of the Dornalian fleet but that fact did not secure them from suffering grave losses. Bursts flames lit up the night as ships met their end at the hands of speeding repair yards. Whitestars and destroyers went down in groves while taking the repair yards with them. Aboard the Keldiej, Admiral Trife was a picture of absolute rage. Such a tactic was viewed as cowardly and unwillingness to fight. His fist slammed on the corner panel of the desk. "Damn them! They don't even bother to stay and fight but instead pull a stunt like this then turn tail and run. How many ships have we lost?"

"Sir, the contigent you sent to defend the Dornalians is relativly untouched along with our missle cruisers. Our whitestar and destroyer fleet is another matter. Some of our whitestars were fast enough to pull out once they saw other ships meet their ends. The Victory Destroyers, were not so fortunate. We have about half of our Whitestars left and a third of our Victory Destroyers."

Trife stroked his chin as he mulled over the numbers now about half of what they started with. "I see. The numbers aren't great but I believe we can still accomplish our mission. We'll have to use the Keldeij but accomplishing our goal is more important."

The signatures of the Huntarian fleet rang throughout the ship as alarms sounded. "What the hell is that?"

Major Kahyule walked over to the panel. "It appears that a fleet of our allies has arrived late."

"Excellent! Patch me through a communications channel."

Huntarian fleet, this is Admiral Trife of the Abh Empire. It seems you have arrived in the knick of time to save our butts. Form up and we can finish our mission. Huntarian fleet, this is Admiral Trife of the Abh Empire. It seems you have arrived in the knick of time to save our butts. Form up and we can finish our mission. "Aye sir. Torpetoe tubes loaded now."

"Fire a volley of 100 Seismic Torpetoes at the remaining targets. Keep a clear distance. Then, move the fleet in and fire at any remaining enemy ships."

The Light Side and the fleet moved in, brilliant purple torpetoes were fired out of their tubes from both the Light Side, and then the Torpetoe Frigates moved in to surround it to provide fire support from enemy capital ships. The Nebula Class Corvettes Freedom Class Destroyers formed two lines in front of the Light Side and the Torpetoe Frigates.
The Nebula's were on the top row, with the Freedom's on the bottom row.

Beside the Light Side were the Nebulon Class Battlecruisers, and the Reverent Class Attack Cruisers. Behind the Light Side, were the Angle Class Cruisers. The Fleet formation was ready. And they began to move in.

(ooc: Well you will have to pardon my for not knowing every obscure fact about the SW expanded universe, I was not planning this attack. We weren't ignoring your post, we were waiting until we figured out the confusion. I have every right to ask for clarification. I was hoping this would be an epic battle between the attackers and the shipyard defences, not one post.)

The Tidani Fleets charged ahead of their allies seeking their goal with all their might. Unfortunately their charge toward the defenses would prove to have been their downfall. When the repair yards jumped into them the entire cruiser wall was caught. The entire line of Orpus cruisers errupted in light and flame signaling to their allies the trap that had been sprung.

As the wreckage flew into the rest of the tidani fleet they had only seconds of warning, but oh what a warning. The Quor destoryers, Calder crew fanatical in devotion to duty and war, immediately activated their emergency phase shielding. This combined with sacrifice of the cruisers saved most of them, unfortunately the others were not so lucky. Bagala destroyers used all the agility they had to avoid damage but errupted throughout the fleet.

All in all only 245/300 Quors destroyers, 163/600 Bagalas destroyers, and 3/15 Galiant carriers survived. The Bagalas and Galiants were heavily damaged, but the Quors whos shields hadn't failed were still battle ready.

The survivors moved towards the gathering fleet around the Huntarian Alliance.

OOC: Accordin' to my calculations (and TSL's), my ships came in AFTER the ship yards left. I recieved no damage, and arrived in time to possibly save the GFFA. The fact you said your fleet was consolidating around mine made me assume you've already acknowledge your casualties, and knew that the orbital yards have left.

(I, on the other hand, had read the Kuat Drive Yards stats before when I was trying to do some research on designing my own drive yards, but gave up and said "Meh")

"Captain Ivanova, we are at the exit point. We are not detecting any jump drive inhibitors."

"Open the jump hole, get us into realspace. Engage stealth upon entry."

In realspace, the brilliant swirling blue vortex of the jumpspace corridor erupted, shortly followed by the smallish vessel, White Star One. She arrived to a scene of destruction, the repair yards having slammed into the fleet at hyperluminal velocities. Carcasses of ships littered the void, the lives onboard being snuffed away as the vacuum took their last breaths. The White Star began acceleration, it's stealth mode activated so as to prevent the Imperials from noticing them as easily. Complete stealth mode was activated shortly after, as the bridge crew latched themselves into their stations using belts and other harnesses. Complete stealth involved deactivating artificial gravity so gravitic sensors no longer could detect the artificial gravity onboard every Minbari vessel.

"My god.." Ivanova quietly whispered on the bridge of the White Star, as she surveyed the mass ship graveyard.

She saw on her viewscreen several hundred GFFA ships attempting to rally for a second strike on the Kuat Drive Yards, so she pressed her own communication button, keyed in the general GFFA broadcast signal, and said, "This is Captain Susan Ivanova of the Minbari Federation. We will be joining your fleet formation, and I am calling in a Minbari fleet to assist in the assault. Ivanova out."

She pressed the button signifying "Communication Off" on her control panel, and opened up a new communication to the Minbari headquarters on Minbar. The message said,

Deploy reinforcements to Kuat system, GFFA fleet being destroyed. As many ships as can be spared. Ivanova

The attack on the drive yards was going along quite smoothly as far as Admiral Kingston was concerned. They had met little resistance and the fool Admiral Thrawn was just a minor distraction at best. Just then, warning lights flashed on the arm of Kingston’s command chair, something was jamming everything, communications, sensors, the works.

"What the hell," muttered Kingston.

"Sir, the Imperials in system are beginning to retreat to hyperspace and Thrawn is breaking off his attack."

"Something's not right, they didn't even begin to put up resistance."

Just as he was about to give the order to pull out of the attack, the viewscreen in front of him was suddenly a mass of light as the repair docks entered hyperspace accelerating to ram the fleet.

Scarcely two seconds later, the Midas was hit by innumerable pieces of the docks. The force of the collision knocked out the powerful shields within a few seconds. The events that followed and their outcome were nothing short of miraculous as huge sections of repair docks slammed into the quantum armored hull of the Midas. The impacts sent the entire craft spinning out of control through space as they momentarily lost all of their systems. When they had finally regained control, the Midas was still intact thanks to its quantum armor. Kingston who was thrown out of his chair in the spin, managed to make his way back to it nursing and injury to his arm. He called up damage reports for the fleet on his control panel. He was relieved to see that most of the Midas, Rule, and Kisharn fleets were intact, but the information he got back from the Elite was disheartening. The damage that some of the smaller ships had sustained during the battle with Thrawn had weakened them sufficiently to be venerable to the cowardly Imperial 'attack'. Overall, the Elite had lost over eighty ships and the ship itself was severely damaged. The other Aurigean fleets had lost about sixty ships combined. All fighters that were out at the time of the 'attack' were lost.

"Sir, we have a Huntarian Alliance fleet entering the system now."

"Good, dispatch the Kisharn and it's fleet to search the wreckage of the Rule's fleet for survivors. Inform the rest of the fleets to re-group around the Alliance fleet."

"Aye sir."

People seem to be confused as to the layout of the Kuat system.

I have always said that it is a system wide shipyard; and when I said system wide I mean just that. From planet to planet, scaffolding and construction yards, there is very little in the way of empty space.

People are ignoring simply how many repair yards will be flung at you; and the damage that would be inflicted. For a SYSTEM wide shipyard system.

People are also ignoring the communications and sensor distortions present. Though that is coming into play. Just a nit pick here.

People are also ignoring the fact, that these yards will have ammunition dumps, torpedoes, missiles, all of that jazz inside them ready to go boom. There are hardly simple repair yards.

People are also assuming that they will be hitting from straight on? Simple vastness of the yards and therefore arc of fire would say otherwise. Impacts will be coming from the front and sides. There is enough of these things in the system to be going hyper for about several hours.

Most of the GFFA uses rail guns, and therefore most of you know the damage that a rail gun can inflict. There shipyards are mighty big rail guns.

Admiral Thrawn II and Mationbuds There is no way that you would be able to power up your hyperspace drives and get out within twenty seconds. This attack is now hitting you two as well. SO TAKE DAMAGE. You honestly don't expect to leave the system unhurt when I'm calling for the GFFA nations to accept crippling damage. You two yourselves are going to suffer.

Finally, I want to apologise for those expecting something else from the thread. I realise you were wanting a vast epic battle Vs good and evil, but I'm one man, and I'm currently stretched over five threads each demanding my attention. Kuat sadly is a simple military action.

As for ignoring these mighty big rail guns...... I would point out that it was MM's intent to use them, along with many other GFFA nations to simply level KDY from a distance.

I got there first.

Before in my earlier post, I did give people the chance to leave the thread. I did ask for those willing to accept SW canon technology to continue and those not to not. Posting after the thread clearly details your agreement. I am not asking for the GFFA or any nation to lose main characters of loved flagships, I have however put two months of time into insuring the attack on Kuat happens, so that this event may transpire.

Did none of you think it was odd that Kuat was left temptingly open?

Did none of you think that the Sith would be up to something?

No one is ignoring the attack, but no one is fully accepting it either, despite its perfect validity.

This could be RP'd into a GFFA disaster with hundreds of spin off threads in regard to holding the line, and continued attacks upon the Empire through subversion.

But I have not been completely arrogant. In return for the destruction of most of KDY and it's capabilities and as such the GFFA Naval fleet, I agreed to have Kamino put out of action by a subversive attack from MM. I have agreed to give Kamino and Kuat; yet some of you claim I'm not making concessions?

I could have simply called in the entire alliance, but I've done this slowly and small, with a few select members. I have given a lot and am still continuing to give. The primary problem here is OOC misgivings about not getting the huge fight you were expecting. Does Coreworlds not always say expect the unexpected when it comes to dealing with Sith?

In a huge round up of this rather large OOC post, I will state that I have not lied. Wanked. Done anything unacceptable ICly apart from use simple technology and simple tactics upon the combined GFFA alliance. In my OOC discussions, I told MM that Kuat would be rendered inoperable. I never went into the details. When I asked for people to accept SW canon, the GFFA thought Sith wanted his weapons accepted; I naturally led this thought on masking the true intent OOCly. All in all, I have done nothing wrong and the attack is legit.

OOC: Well...I knew I left....but I should have probably sustained more than 40% casualties? (40 ships out of a 100 sent). Just a double check, I sensed there was going to be severe damage, that's all.

After all that, I believe an IC post is called for here. If I remember correctly, you are no longer in the system. If that's the case, you wouldn't be able to jam much anymore.

From the Keldiej, a flood of lights flashed out from the docking bay as they made their way among the assembled Abh fleet one branched off to head towards the main ship of the Huntarian fleet. The Abh had always used commmunication ships and text messages to deliver their communications. It helped cut back on intercepted transmissions. Ships dispersed among the Abh fleet went from squadron commander to squadron commander while they launched their own. After a time, Shadow destroyers shimmered and disappeared. They reappeared further out into the system behind and to the sides of the allied fleet. Weapons fired at any repair yard that might still be lingering around to cut back on anymore projectiles that would be in the area. Once taken care of, they spaced out over the entire system and set scanners to full power to monitor anything travelling in the area. With luck, they could send a warning to the fleet about any incoming attack.

The basic message to the Abh fleet was to keep jump engines online for a quick exit should it be needed. All ships were given permission to use their discression as the plan had been gone over well before they ever arrived in the system. All knew their mission.

The Abh woman jumped back into her craft and left the docking bay heading back to the Keldeij.

A signal began flashing at the highest point of the Keldeij signalling the Abh fleet to begin moving. Rambirds and missle cruisers were still entact and they were given the signal to lead a barrage. Torpedoe and missles all over raced out towards the planetary shields of Kuat. Thousands screaming towards their target followed closely by the capital class Ion cannons that the Rambirds had embedded in their bellies.

"Monitor the shields major. I want to know if our attacks have any effect. If they don't, we may have to take more drastic measures to finish our mission."

"Yes sir."

White Star One, Kuat System
White Star One was the sole Minbari ship in this system, and it moved to the forefront of the GFFA fleet remnant.

"Captain, the main gun is fully charged."

"Fire it at the spot where the Abh fleets are focusing on their shields, a concentrated bombardment will destroy their shields."

"Aye, Captain. Main gun firing now." the weaponry officer said as he pressed the figurative button.

A ball of light expanded in the large spinal gun of White Star One, transforming into a streamlined beam of energy, impacting the planetary shields of Kuat with enough energy to crack ships many times the size of the White Star class.

"Comm, what is the status of our reinforcements?"

"The seventh quick response fleet has responded, they are coming from CS9 in Minbar, we can expect them here in fifteen minutes."

The Imperial Distress Signal that had been encoded and launched upon the moment an enemy fleet entered the Kuat System, was received less than an hour after its transponder had launched the signal via the HoloNet. Thrashian Intelligence had received it in several of its outposts within the Galactic Empire and followed the due course of action in alerting Fleet commander Grand Admiral Ver’ack.

Upon hearing this news the Grand Admiral had called together an emergency meeting of advisors and military theorists and strategists; as well as sending a task force out to support the defensive operations at the Kuat Drive Yards.


Ver’ack sat in a high backed chair staring at the holo projector’s screen as a young Fleet strategist advisor went over specifications and details of the attack on Kuat that had thus far been gathered by Intelligence Section 3.

“As you can see gentlemen and sirs, the Federation Coalition forces came out of hyperspace many kilometers away from the Drive Yards themselves, utilizing long range weaponry to bombard them.”

Another officer stood up from his seat. “Yes, yes, yes we know all that. But what else could those damnable Feds be doing? That is hardly their entire fleet, and several of the Federal nations have large fleets.”

“True.” The strategist looked at Ver’ack and then back at the officer. “However it is very simple actually; what the Federal forces intend to do. His Excellency Treize knew detailed knowledge of the Federal plans but has withheld them from us. ‘A matter of honor’ he said. As such, we have to think the way the Feds do in order us to try guessing their next move,” the man said. Ver’ack nodded. He himself had stormed and fumed outside Treize’s office when the leader of Thrashia had refused to give information of the GFFA’s movements. It was like talking to a brick wall.

“They have attacked the Kuat Drive Yards, the Empires most valuable ship yards and the main source of military craft in the galaxy for the Emperor. The Galactic Empire has several vital facilities that are well known to many nations. A cadet could spell it out for you,” the man said. “The Shipyards, the Cloning Facilities, and then Curoscant: source of military vehicles, source of soldiers, source of political power. These are the three main vital points of the Galactic Empire. I am sure our Emperor’s own military advisors are already pointing this out to him.”

Ver’ack stood and cleared his throat. The room went quiet and the strategist standing by the projector swallowed visibly. Ver’ack looked at each of the assembled officers faces.

“We’ve fought the Empire in the past, when our agendas were not the same and we were led by a fool hardy Grand Admiral.” The officers cringed at the same time, memories of Grand Admiral Alabar, three decades dead, were still fresh in the minds of some officers.

“We have postulated the possible places where our enemy will strike…however we do not know for certain. You officers here are the high command of our fleet and command part of our battle groups. Alert your forces, be at standby, and prepare for anything. The first step in avoiding a trap…is knowing of its existence,” said Ver’ack in his usual growling tone.

“Return to your fleets. Dismissed.”


Kuat System, safe access point over Drive Yards

Out of hyperspace with excess speed came the Thrashian Reaction Forces, ships sent to help defend the Empire’s Drive Yards. The sleek new hulls of the ships were marvelous to look at. Eight of the newly made Venator II-class Star Destroyers and two Victory II-class Star Destroyers glided through the orbital path of a nearby moon.

“CommScan reports enemy fleets in sector 47 Captain,” reported an ensign.

“Very good. Have all pilots go to their fighters, and inform the local Imperial Commander that we have arrived. We will coordinate with him in enacting a proper defense,” said Captain Pindaric.

“Yes sir.”

Captain Pindaric smiled to himself as he watched the smooth efficiency of his new ship, the Pride of Vitalis; named after the ancient Terra language word for Victory. The new Venator ships were impressive. Pindaric who had once commanded a Imperial Star Destroyer had at first been crest fallen to learn of his reassignment, however he was not disappointed when he took her out for her first testing maneuvers. It was a marvelous engineering innovation.

“How far away are the enemy fleets?” asked Captain Pindaric. His adjutant Lieutenant Meade checked several sensor and tactical layouts.

“About 3,000 kilometers sir. They’re on the other side of Kuat planet prime, where the central main production lines are.” The communications ensign approached the two officers.

“Sir, we’ve made contact with a Captain Rashin, Imperial commander here. I am sending him a message now.”

“Very good, inform me when we have a proper connection,” said Pindaric. He turned to Meade. “Launch our long range probes in preparation for Sky Marshal Noventa’s arrival. I want nothing to threaten when the Belphegor arrives.”



Captain Rashin, this is Thrashian Imperial Captain Pindaric. We are here in response to your distress signal. We are here to help coordinate defense and beat off these damn Feds. Were are you in most need of defense? We have a...special suprise coming soon to help as well, and if we can place it anywhere there is a hot-spot then say so. Pindaric out.

Trife sat back in his chair on the Keldeij. The signal went out for all ships to standby at the moment until they could get their barings. "Reprogram all Rambirds for the planetary shields. Punch in the propper coordinants. I want them in going in waves of five so that their drives to blow."

"Yes your highness."

Shimmer and disappear. Every jet black Rambird that Trife had brought with himi was now gone into Hyperspace. It wasn't long before the first wave commenced as five separate jump points tore apart the fabric of space on the planetary shields of Kuat while the five ships came in firing their large ion cannons point blank. They disappeared as the next wave came in and so on and so on. Trife was determined to bring the shields down and he would wait there as long as it took while systematically removing every trace of those shields.

The Horde charged...

And then they were gone.

Alpha and Delta squadrons of the First Fleet (with the exception of the Kar'gath, as well as the the Alpha and Beta squadrons of the Second Fleet, completely gone. The Warlord's command ship burst into flames, hull breaches leaking atmosphere into the vast cosmos.

Half of the Horde fleet was gone. Four whole squadrons of capital ships just vaporized before the eyes of their awestruck comrades. For agonizing seconds, the comm chatter of the Horde went silent.

And then, a furious roar went out from the command ship of Beta Squadron. The battlecruiser Vosh'agin powered its engines towards the nearest Golan, unleashing devastating volleys of Phase Distruptor fire at the platform. The rest of the squadrons followed suit, reforming around their new command vessels, flooding the communication lines with calls for blood. Such a cowardly attack would be met with the utmost revenge. Kuat would burn this day.

((Before you complain, you just took out 750 capital ships. As I said at the start of this thread, this is the largest deployment of Horde vessels in the history of the nation. Right now, you have 750 pissed Horde on your ass.))
