Which isotope? Please tell me you are selling 100 pound shipments of U-235 packed closely together. Please tell me you will do that for me, if I pay you 50,000 dollars.

sure I sell 100 pound shipments of U-235 packed closely together

comes to 50,000 dollars

Moments after Leafanistan wired the money workers at the warehouse packed the U-235 together and Geiger counters suddenly spiked and dosimeters peaked. The workers would have been badly burned but the 100 pounds was easily enough to reach critical mass and the area would have been completely obliterated by a nuclear explosion.

The executives at Sierra Visions Inc. toasted themselves while watching the explosion from a satellite.

"Best 50,000 we've ever spent ladies and gentlemen."

We wish to purchase all 500,000 pounds packed into one container for 100 million dollars.

I'm sorry you feel that way. We raise our bid to 1 billion dollars. That is 2,000 dollars PER barrel, which is 40 times your asking price. That's a lot of money...

OOC: Listen. You JUST stated that you're doing things that would cause a nuclear explosion. Either accept the losses, or y'know, bugger off. It's the nature of the game. Whenever you make posts in II without an OOC tag, it's considered IC. Either read the stickies and observe the forum rules or risk alienation from all decent roleplayers in this game.

The explosion was massive. The port town it was being unloaded in was totally devasted. U-235 reaches critical mass at 50 pounds, so 500,000 was devastating. The massive explosion killed everything in the city, and turned it to ash. People on the other side of the world were struck by a blinding light for a second. There was even a fire started in Dongara even though it was put out. Could Kudo Slavia sustain such a blast? Luckily for Dongara, the wind had it so that almost all of the radiation went to the nearby country of Naxos, thanks to calculations, giant fans, and etc.

Premier: That was the most evil $1 billion dollars I've ever used.

Politburo Member 1: Well, you could write it down as money for nuclear testing.

Premier: Good point. Alright, lets get to it. Lets wire the $1 billion to Kudo Slavia...if there's anything left of it.

Guys, the urainium isn't going to wait to explode until he's packed it all together... its gonna go as soon as it passes critical mass. On top of that, its not going to be a nuclear explosion because the density will be too low; the reaction will only sustain itself for a very short time...

OOC: Whichi s the most important condition I mentioned, "packed together closely". If anything Dogara's 500,000 pounds within close proximity provide enough free neutrons.

If anything, we've irradiated and ensured the deaths of dozens of workers and have created a pretty blue glow in the area and contanminated the area for years to come creating an environmental catastrophe.

And if what Kudo Slavia said is true, the fact that there was no explosion will ensure the money is not wired.

And this ignores the previous explosion, and the fact that the previous detonation ensures easily more than a billion dollars in cleanup, the loss of material and the displacement of people.

Methinks you missed the point. Assuming he's got it in smaller amounts (each block is below critical) and he starts stacking them, you get a reaction as soon as enough of them are together to pass critical. You won't be able to get anywhere near 500,000 pounds together without frying yourself from small reactions.

OOC: Hey, he stacked 500,000 pounds together somehow without frying himself, maybe he was smart enough to have suits or something, lets just accept that he is now a very pretty green coloured radioactive parking lot.

That is god modding FYI. Why don't you all leave the new players alone, maybe they will stick around if you dont constantly bust his balls for no reason.

The orignal poster would be well within his rights to ignore these people who have caused him to "nuke" himself which he didnt becasue his sicentist would have told him not to and in fact ignore the whole thing.
