Space Program

1959

Two orbital launches took place, each one with a single pilot. The first launching out of the original launch facility in Skane succesfully carried the Ukraine's first man into space, while the second, out of a newer facility in the CAR sent up that countries first man into space.

1960

An improved communications sattelite network was finally finished and set up in space while a probe was launched to Mars. It took months for the probe to reach Mars but once it did it sent back pictures and loads of data on the red planet. While the probe was making its trip another orbital launch took place from the facility in the CAR, but as the rocket was lifting up it exploded killing the Kashgarian pilot and damaging the launch facility. In the Scandic Union, after a month of investigation, two more rockets were set up, each carrying two pilots, and this time they succesfully made the trip and came back home carrying a Scandic, Polish, Turkish and Azerbaijani pilots.

I think, and I may be wrong, that Poland was formed sometime after WW2 and was merged by Germany and Russia

1st Republic of Poland was created about 1920 as part of the Soviet Union, and was ostensibly independent but actually part of the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was destroyed in 1942 in the final stages of the Third Great War, and Poland gained independence from the Soviet Union about 1941.

Hence the 2nd Republic of Poland

The Turkish fleet gathers itself at Antalya along with the 2nd and 3rd marine brigades, 5 mountain brigade and 8th light infantry division. The turkish government has taken control of a number of merchant ships(1 unit worth) and has had them moved to join the fleet whilemodifications are made. The Ukrainian navy is quickly making its way at full speed through the Aegean to meet up with the Turks at Antalya. A unit of Scandic Tu16's has been ordered down to Turkey. When the press asks why it is stated that the SU has a duty as part of the CSPS to protect Turkey and with the situation in the Middle East quickly reaching a boiling point it is fearexd Turkey might soon need to be defended.

(OOC: Greece, Russia, Syria, and Egypt would likely freak out at this news. Also remember Greece controls Istanbul/Constantinople. The Black Sea Fleet is insignifigant, not exactly a grand mobilization.)

Russia's Black Sea Fleet goes to sea. Be-6's and ASW Helicopter (some form of Mil's) increase patrols. If Greece wishes for added ASW support, the ASW helicopters can be flown to the Aegean.

Ukrainian, Scandic and Turkish fighters began shadowing the Russian fleet, making sure that the CSPS is in touch with the Russian fleet and any movements it makes.
