(basically a continuation of the "Citizens call for foreign intervention" thread, which I unfortunately forgot about. Now, I resolved that storyline and begin this one. You don't have to take any action against me in this thread, it merely shows a change in government.)

In the months following the civil war, Soviet Arms Dealers was under the tight control of several foreign powers. The last major battle occurred aboard one of the foreign power's vessels anchored off the coast of the capital city. Several warlords had been called together in order to draft a formal peace treaty to end the guerilla warfare that had lasted half a year and claimed more than 300,000 deaths, mainly helpless civilians. Prior to signing, one of the warlords had brought a chemical weapon aboard the ship and detonated it. The gas was harmless, and the warlords escaped, but it marked the end of the insurgency.

The four surviving warlords- Diya al Din, Khair al Din, Zakwan ibn Khulus, and Rashad Muntasir- all went into hiding both in the city of Dubai and in the surrounding countryside. Meanwhile, the foreign powers occupying the country established a Democratic Republic where the Church played a major role in government affairs. While this suited the people, the warlords plotted revenge, having been ignored by the foreign powers for 2 years.

Once the new government seemed stable and an official army had been trained, the foreign powers left one by one. The warlords saw their chance to move. They made plans for a coordinated attack on Dubai through a messenger they knew only as "Thair." When the day for the attack on Dubai came, no explosions were heard. No gunfire filled the streets, as had been planned. The day carried on as normal, civilians oblivious to what might have happened.

In truth, the warlords were all dead. The warlords had been assassinated and their militas slaughtered or converted in one night. This operation had been carried out by none but Thair himself. Proclaimed Thair "the Evil," Thair wasted no time in making both allies and enemies. In a short time he had a nuclear weapon planted somewhere in Dubai. Faced with complete destruction, the Democratic government yielded and surrendered the country to Thair and his army.

Thair the Evil quickly shut the borders of the country and began massive industrialization. He had inspiration from seeing The Kraven Corporation on the news, and he followed their example. He gained loyalty through fear and stability through the elimination of all enemies. Soviet Arms Dealers became "The Dark Realm of Soviet Arms Dealers." Soon a dark cloud hung over the entire country. The cloud was made of pollution from the many factories springing up everywhere, and the evil Thair represented.

Squads of secret police patrolled the streets, making sure everyone went to the factories for their required hours. The draft was re-instated, and training was brutal. It was not uncommon for recruits to die in basic training. The survivors became hardened warriors completely loyal to Thair and "the cause." The cause being, of course, the spread of Thair's beliefs across the globe.

A Reichmarshal was sat at a desk, talking to Obersturmbann Furhrer Horst, the two were both wearing jet black, uniforms of Kraven, the red arm bands contrasted against the Military grey of the walls, and the Raven black of their uniforms...

"Its interesting how nations quickly alter their thinking, when they see what we are capable of..."
The Obersturmbann Furhrer spoke, regarding the request for alliance with a certain... inquisitive interest...

"Yes... Reichmarshal Helghan wishes to visit the nation, he's preparing to leave with a full Legion of Centurians, its a study of the nation more than anything... I think The High Command are wanting to bring the nation into its Absolute Unification programme.." The Reichmarshal spoke, while picking up a small glass of what appeared to be whisky... or Honey Mead...

"Are you sure thats going to happen?"

"I'm not sure... We'll have to wait and see..." The Reichmarshal finished the drink, placed the glass down onto the table, got up from his chair, turned and left the room...

"I didn't expect a response so quickly." Thair paced down the halls of the palace. The palace had once seated the Emir, then the Cheif Warlord, then the President, and now him. "We'll have to speed up all preparations two-fold."

"Everyone is already working as hard as they can!" a messenger objected.

Thair looked at the man with a stare so cold the messenger couldn't help but look away in fear. Thair spoke between his teeth, "Make it happen. Unless you and your miserable family would rather live out your days in the Gulag!"

"No! Please!" the messenger pleaded. "We will be ready. I swear it." he ran off noisily down the corrider. He could be heard sobbing heavily as he ran.

"Pathetic." Thair continued. Reaching the balcony on the third floor of the palace, he watched as his vision was made real. Factories as far as the eyes could see, police in urban camo making arrests by the dozens, and citizens heading home to their assigned apartments, weary from a day's hard work.

However progress was being made in leaps and bounds. Factory production was increasing greatly, there was a surplus of weapons for the first time since the old regime, and his dream was finally being realized. He spread his arms to the sky as he watched smoke rising from the factories, polluting the sky and making the cloud above the country all the darker and more sinister.

Suddenly he felt a chill. With the sun blocked out by the cloud more each day, the temperature was dropping daily, vegetation was dying, and the unurbanized portions of the country were becoming a desolate plain. No matter, Thair thought. Food could still be produced in indoor labs, and other problems could be solved in likewise ways.

He turned his attention to a citizen who was being arrested for breaking the security zone of the palace. Smiling, he left the balcony to attend to other matters.

At the Dubai airstrip, preparations were being made frantically. As a show of force, Thair had lined the landing field with tanks, turrets pointing high, infantry in dark uniforms wielding cheap assault rifles, and old attack helicopters with missiles on their wings. Suddenly Thair realized the need to modernize the army. Perhaps Kraven can assist us with that matter, he thought, spreading out a map of the country on a table.

Grand Hall of the Emperor, Imperial Palace.

The room known as the Grand Hall was accurately named. Past the door into it, there was a long corridor with walls made of ebony, with the occasional portrait of the Emperor or some great hero of the Empire of Slayrule, that stretched for what seemed like an age. If one looked to the floor, they would notice the floor made of the same material, a blood red carpet over it and also going down the corridor. This part led to the main room of the Grand Hall, and its length was intentional. The long walk to the main room past the door gave potential visitors plenty of time to reconsider their entrance if they so chose, or at least yell down the corridor to see if emperor Mathias Shinwrath was even there. It also served a practical purpose: the Emperor was not in sight from the corridor and not in range of any weapons, so a potential assassin would have to evade the guards down the entire stretch to get to him (it also gave time for the guards to be alerted). If one were to gather the nerve to go all the way down this corridor, they would come across a room of impressive size, the floor made of ebony as usual with the walls and ceiling being silver and re-enforced Damascus steel respectively. The room was almost like a ballroom in that it was slightly rounded in shape, but the comparison was made by a Slayrulian citizen who only knew that to compare it to, so its validity is questionable.
Almost in contrast to the grand pillars at the corners and the elaborate portraits at the left and rightmost walls, the desk at the front of the room was rather plain, being made of simple but sturdy wood, just like the chair the Emperor sat at it with (he said wood was good for the back, something a man of his age needed). The desk itself was infront of several glass windows, showing an excellent view over the entire city. If one decided to enter now, and kept their courage down the long walk, they would find the emperor at the desk, thin, ghostly like hands folded over each other with his almost skeletal fingers looking almost lifeless. His once raven-black hair was now silvery gray (though still shoulder length), and his eyes were sunken in his wrinkled face. He was easily into his sixties, and yet his green eyes still has a menacing quality to them and his cruelty was only enhanced with age, not diminished. He wore an elaborate black robe with the insignia of the Slayrulian Imperial Family (two sabers interlocked infront of a Dragon's head) on the left breast and also wore casual black suit pants. Right now he was reading the message sent to all available nations by the "new ruler" of a nation known as Soviet Arm Dealers. From what little he knew of it, it seemed to always be at war with itself. The new leader seemed...arrogant...yes, arrogant was the right word, from his message, and the Emperor felt the slightest tints of a threat within the words of the note, but this "Lord Thair" seemed to have initiative, and appeared as if he knew what he was doing. With several of his forces spread out guarding the borders of the Empire, Thair seemed like a good person to ally with. Nodding his head in a sagelike manner, he put pen to paper, and began his response.

A truly fine specimen capable of holding up to five men, it features a belt loader that can be fed directly into the gun for easier and faster firing on the battlefield. All the loader has to do is place the shell on the moving converyor belt-esque device and the shell will be transported directly into the open breech of the gun. A switch has been designed to stop the belt while the gun is loaded, preventing jams by halting ammo transport until firing. The gun itself sports a long rifled barrel of about 140mm. This gun can fire most types of shells, including uranium depleted tankbuster rounds and incendiary rounds that work similarly to a thermite grenade; after explosion, the round will emit chemicals that can burn and completely melt the immediate area, not only causing explosion damage but potentially mutilating enemy personnel and possibly rendering enemy vehicles useless. The armoring is a mixture of re-enforced titanium and damascus steel, difficult to penetrate. While it is near irrelevant, the paint renders the tank black as night, making it doubly effective in night battles. The massive tank travels on standard treads, but we are undergoing research to develop a model that can be switched to wheels for more versatility. It will run on most fuels, but research has shown it seems to perform best with standard gasoline. At a road speed of 70 kph, it is admittedly not as fast as some, but rest assured it can do impressive damage when it manages to catch its enemies. Seeing as it is one of the main battle tanks of my armed force, there are easily thousands of them in surplus, each only costing one million dollars. I am sorry to have to charge you, but I do have an economy for my nation. Please consider my offer.

Over at Sierra Visions Inc.'s main docking facility, the ships left with parts for the 225mm coastal guns and mercenaries were boarding the ships. They were armed to the teeth with AK-104s and Marakov pistols. Many were given B-500s the Israeli standard anti-tank weapon to fend off boarding ships. Many had light support weapons.

The corporate protective fleet was sent with the 6 transport ships that contained 3 full gun parts and a quarter of the tank shipment.

There were guarded by 2 Solara-class Battlecruisers and 4 South-Sea class destroyers. There were also 2 very oddly shaped ships, equipped with what appeared to be ECM equipment, though it had 3 domes instead of the usual 1.

OOC: The logistics behind deploying that can cripple an entire nation. There is no way you can fuel this many ships at once and keeping them together. Its practically asking for a mass bombardment. The airspace will become so crowded it'll be impossible to operate. Naval fire toward the aircraft will be irresponsible. It would cost millions per hour to run these ships and billions per months. Also the crew costs behind this fleet were impossible to run, there will be millions involved with these ships, and even more running logisitics.

Also this must leave a massive gaping hole in your domestic defense.

OOC: Agreed, Not Even The Supreme States fleets have more than 4 or 5 Super Dreadnaughts at a time, and thats a "State" with a total Population of over 11 billion... however, The Supreme State is capable of Supporting and affording 20 SD's...

Thair the Evil was outraged. "A blockade?" he shouted, directly into the face of one of his generals. He had recieved the news while on a walk through the streets of Dubai. He was in ceremonial dress, with a long coat that adorned his many medals-most of which he had bestowed upon himself.

The general in front of Thair shivered for two reasons. First, he was terrified of Thair. This man had completely changed the country in just a few short weeks and brought suffering to everyone. Second, he was cold. For the first time, ever, it was snowing in Soviet Arms Dealers. Previously covered by open desert, Soviet Arms Dealers had become a frozen wasteland as a result of pollution and evil.

"Well?" Thair continued, crossing his arms in front of him, and grimacing.

"As you know, sire, S.A.D. has never had a standing navy, at least, erm, not one capable of attacking a blockade so large. We have some small patrol craft left over from the civil war that were used as suicide bombers however."

Thair sighed deeply. "The incompetence I put up with. If that's all we have, find a way to use it! What about aircraft?"

"Again, S.A.D. has only a small air force left by the democratic government you overthrew."

"So, you want us to just sit and wait for a land invasion?"

"That's the only option I see, unless Kraven can bail us out, or those coastal batteries get here soon."

"Get on it, then. And step up factory production. I want every citizen to work an extra hour every day this month." Thair motioned to his secret police guards and headed back to the palace. Though the palace was bombed-out and left in ruins from the civil war, it offered the best place from which to manage the country with a totalitarian dictator.

The blockade fleet was in position. With all radar screens, the ships hunted for the arms shipments. They would not attemps to sink them only block the ships. All this occurred in international waters.

The Corporate Fleet arrived, it was bristling with arms and battle-ready. It came up to the fleet and declared,

"We are the the 4th Corporate Security Detachment, we are here to ensure the safe delivery of goods to our client nation. Any attempt to stop this shipment must be given in the form of a direct order. Under international law, we are to demand an order to ensure that we have been ordered to stop and that we are not the aggressors. Under Leafanistani Laws we cannot be boarded without a direct order of that, and if we are not given that and attempts are made to board us, we will return fire. Leafanistan is not a U.N. nation and one of the premier naval powers in the world. While this is not to be interpreted to be a threat, we have to warn all those attempting to stop the shipment of legally purchased goods, with full observation of Leafanistani Laws of the consquences this can incur."

The ships stayed the course moving at 20 knots toward the nation, 60 kilometre's from the blockade line.

OOC: Better but for a tiny nation, only 2 Nimitz are really necessary.
