" Hello, this is Terry McSherry for XNN News. We've just received word that the nation of Axis Nova has attacked Auralinian Space Defences in orbit above the region of Mercenary Lands. The Orbital/Extra Spatial Battle Platforms were severely damaged. No report on the condition of the Axis Nova SDI satellites. In just a minute or so, the Emperor is going to make a statement.

As you are all aware, tensions have been rising over the past couple of weeks after the unprovoked attack on the Fourhearts capitol of Juliana which killed thousands and all but destroyed that city. Casualties continue to mount......OK, OK, the Emperor has arrived on the steps of the Palace. Ladies and gentlemen, Emperor Alaric Tan'it..........."


Alaric descended the steps of his Palace, a grim and determined look on his face. He was dressed in full battle uniform, black leather, Kevlar armor, fully armed. He held up his hand for silence.

" Citizens of Xeraph, members of GAPTS, and all Xeraphian allies. I come to you today full of grief and anger. The nation of Axis Nova, an ally of the Kraven Corporation, has launched an unprovoked attack against five Auralinian Battle Platforms in orbit above our land. Three of the five managed to get off a few shots, but there was minimal damage reported on the Axis Nova SDI units. Auralinian casualties are running high, but two of the Platforms have regrouped and are powering up what is left of their defenses and are firing back."

He paused, staring out at the crowd. " My friends, I don't know about you, but I've had enough of these Kraven swine. About four weeks ago, this same Axis Nova just about obliterated the city of Juliana in Fourhearts. And now this........"

Again a pause, as if he were unwilling to say what had to be said.

" I am here before you today to let you and the world know that a State of War exists between the Empire of Xeraph and the nation of Axis Nova. If any of Axis Nova's allies join the fight, then we wll fight them also.

Four hours ago, I ordered a full-scale invasion of Axis Nova. Two-hundred eighty four Royal Xeraphian Naval Vessels are presently headed to that nation's coast, where bombardment of that nation's coastal defenses will commence. Navies from Auralinia, Black Shadows, the Grey Legions, and the Grey Phoenix are right behind them, adding another two-hundred plus ships to the attack.

Xeraphian Python and Constrictor bombers are being escorted by Royal Air Force Rattlesnakes, Mambas, and Cottonmouths to the main cities of Axis Nova.

Ground forces from Vhammpyr, Black Shadows, the Grey Legions, and the Black Katanas are presently boarding transport ships for a landing two days hence.

I am expecting full support from GAPTS nations. We are going to rid the world of this menace once and for all!"

The roar of the crowd was deafening. Alaric held up his hand once more.

The cameras swung back to the newscaster. " Well, there you have it folks. The oft rumored and long anticipated war against Axis Nova and Kraven. XNN News will keep you all informed as news breaks. This is Terry McSherry reporting for XNN News."

The Auralinians were fighting for their lives. Three of the five battle platforms were heavily damaged, hundreds dead and wounded. One OBP and one ESBP were still relatively intact and were firing back at the AN SDI satellites with lasers and missiles. Battle platform photon torpedoes had been destroyed before they could be fired. Communication with terran-based installations were gone.

They were on their own.............

Alaric read the declaration a second time, then turned to Sethanis. " Who the hell is Bretton?"

"Apparently one of those 'silent nations'. Been around a long time, but not much activity. What are you going to do about it?"

Alaric thought for a moment. " First off, a formal declaration of war against Bretton. Secondly, I want those CBGs we had in the colony along with the Clones and Spiders deployed to their territory. Have Vlad and Vyossae deploy another six CBGs to meet up with ours, and then have Schneider scramble a dozen AirWings with an additional 250 Pythons and Anacondas. I'm gonna pound the living hell outta them!"

In less than two hours, 288 Royal ships-of-the-line and just under 1200 aircraft were speeding towards Bretton. Poseidon troop-ships were loading 250,000 Clone Troopers and 33,000 AI Spiders in preparation for the invasion of Bretton.

Aircraft from the Grey Legions, Spiders and Clone Troopers from Xeraph, naval ships from the Black Katanas and the Grey Phoenix.....all were headed for the showdown with Bretton.

And there were plenty more where they came from....

I've ran some figures through NSEconomy and NSTracker, meanwhile, and I am slightly curious as to who's funding your alliance all of these pieces of military hardware, considering both you and Auralinia have a military budget of zero.

ooc: while I do see your point, it has never been an issue before. While Xeraph is a single nation, it's also an Empire. All of the nations in my region have interchangeable militaries, and so with a combined pop of over 20 billion, believe me, the cash is there. If it'll make you happy, let's say I spend 35% of the total Empire's income on military. It's a bit more complicated than that (all manufacturing is done off-world by AI tech and the Empire's food is "contributed" by nations that I protect). Xeraph itself is primarily a diplomatic/military nation: no factories, little food production, no highways, not much of a financial infrastructure. All necessities for civilian and military are provided by the state. This is accomplished by numerous trade agreements with allies.

And don't worry about WMD. I've never used them in a first-strike scenario either.

Alaric watched the hacked transmission from Axis Nova several times. He sat in his chair, unmoving, rigid as stone. After the fourth repeat, he held up a hand, making a cutting motion, then placed the hand on his battleknife. He sat there for another 30 seconds. You could hear a pin drop in the room. The others hardly dared to breathe.

He stood up and turned around. He glanced from Vlad to Sethanis to Vyossae, then back to Sethanis. A slow smile was growing on his face and in a couple of seconds it grew into a wide grin, and he started laughing.

He put on an exaggerated expression, crossed his arms across his chest, and in his best Dracula voice said, " Trembling in the void.......sand will swallow your corpses...the earth will be sown with salt and poison..." He was laughing so hard that tears were running down his cheeks. The others were also gasping for breath.

" So, Seth, what do you think of our opponent?" , he said, still laughing.

Sethanis wiped his eyes and said, " Well shitfire.......it's a wannabe Dreadfire!" And they all started laughing again.

After they calmed down a little, Alaric sat back down. " OK, gentlemen, we need to get back to work here. This guy may be a legend in his own mind, but he is nonetheless a powerful nation, and he's brought along at least one buddy to help him."

"Why don't we just glass him and get it over with, Alaric?" This was from the newly arrived Gen. Strickland, CMDR XF.

" Because, John, I want the Empire left intact after we kick this guy's ass. You don't think he'll retaliate? Our orbiting defense systems can do only so much to deter incoming missiles. No, no nukes.....at least at this point."

Vlad spoke up. " We have the Clone Troops and the Spiders. We don't even have to concern ourselves too much for the first week or so about sending humans into battle. And......there are the Warriors."

The Warriors were the men of Vhammpyr. Hominis Nocturnis: Men of the Night. Armed to the teeth with the strength of three ordinary men, they were virtually invincible. Outfitted with Kevlar and thin plates of steel, they stood an average of seven feet tall, 300 pounds of rock hard muscle.

You couldn't kill them, in the normal sense of the word. They were already dead by human standards. They wouldn't stop advancing until they were cut to pieces.....literally cut to pieces.

" Yes, the Warriors. How many have been brought out of stasis?"

Lord Teii, priest-king of Vhammpyr answered. " Thirteen million are presently awake and a little over 3 million of them are on or about to be loaded onto troop ships bound for AN."

"Good, good." The Emperor was pleased. " Now, if we can get a few more of our GAPTS allies involved, we'll get this show on the road. Gentlemen.....meeting in two hours." He got up and headed out of the War Room.............

thats exactly what the mod said. and thats the way it is, and has been for a long time. there are several of us who use a common email address for nation states. that doesn't mean that we're puppets. I'm with xeraph. Nova and Bretton can consider themselves ignored by Vhammpyr from here on.

Axis is not required to 'address' anyone, since he is not required to accept anything he doesn't want to at all. This is FFRP, after all.

Problem is, it is just about the email addresses. That is the only proof of him puppet wanking. Other then that theirs none. I looked up those other common details. Their iffy at best- I might not have the access GMC does, but I still know how to do seaches and searches I did. I believe GMC when he says their are ten accounts. However, implying that just because he has access to his family makes his family members nations his puppets is just silly.

I also agree with GMC when hes say Axis Nova is not required to accept anything he doesn't want too. However, puppet wanking has been around so long and is so abused that accusing people of puppet wanking has really lost its meaning. So what if they have a advantage in numbers- that means nothing. The ability to RP is what counts.

Finally- a final note- Remember, wank can be a godmode, but not always. Sometimes, an accusation of wank is simply a lack of knowledge on the part of the player complaining. Think before you accuse or condemn.

I couldn't have said that better if I tried. No of us, even GMC has all the information- Their are large families out their- so Xeraph could be telling the truth or not. Everyone can make their own decsions, I've already made mine- but unlike alot of people I like to get all the facts first or atleast as much as possbile before making my decsion.

Oh but I did, UN Multiing: Primarily someone who has more than one UN nation. Also, in Roleplay, Puppet Multiing is when someone uses their other nations in wars to give themselves an advantage. Not against the game rules, but very likely to tick people off. Suspected UN multies should be reported using the Getting Help Page, never the Moderation forum. ie the whole reason of Axis Nova getting mad is meaningless, while your at it Phoenix report yourself for UN Multiing. If its lost, then it might as well not have ever exist.

I am not trying to claim my military is interchangeable with my puppets (or "empire"), nor do I claim to have 20 billion population, none of my nations are in the UN, the mods can check my email and my IP, and I RP my puppets seprately and in fact the only interaction most of them have had with eachother would be purchasing equipment from Phoenix Dynamix.
Except for my "Goodbye to NS" thread which I used as a way to ICly explain why about 20 of my puppets were going to be inactive for a year.

... how the fuck am I being compared to Xeraph? I am not trying to claim my military is interchangeable with my puppets (or "empire"), nor do I claim to have 20 billion population, none of my nations are in the UN, the mods can check my email and my IP, and I RP my puppets seprately and in fact the only interaction most of them have had with eachother would be purchasing equipment from Phoenix Dynamix.
Except for my "Goodbye to NS" thread which I used as a way to ICly explain why about 20 of my puppets were going to be inactive for a year.

Some of the people in this thread think you have UN multis. I would like conclusive evidence one way or the other, either to shut them up or shut you up. I don't really have a preference either way, I'd just like to see the truth.

...yes it does. The system automatically detects when more than one nation from the same IP is in the UN (and probably has other methods as well).

Also, my only puppet is Bicycle Raiders, which is a UN non-RP puppet for the purpose of maintaining sovereignity of a friend's region so we can keep the garbage out. Ask GMC for a puppet scan if you don't believe me.

The only one of you GAPTS people worth anything in my book is Fourhearts. During this entire situation, he's been a good RPer, a decent guy, and someone willing to work with me to come up with a good story, unlike most of the rest of GAPTS.

I have an odd question? This is just a game right. Why are either side in this argument calling people scum bag and so forth. I got in this to help my writing skills and an creative outlet not to stand here and point fingers.
Xeraph has stated that he shares his account with his family, and some members of that family play this game. Should not that statement be enough.

You'll note that all the name flinging has come from GAPTS nations and none from me. I've had people here call me a liar and a paranoiac in the face of direct word from a mod about Xeraph's puppets.

As GMC stated, it's more than your email. I imagine the system also keeps track of IP addresses and what nations are logged onto from said address in a certain period of time. There are probably other methods as well that arn't immediately obvious, but those immediately spring to mind as they'd be something the NS server has to track anyways for stat purposes.

I'd bet money the server logs would show Xeraph logging into all his nations one after the other on a regular basis to change issues and keep them alive.

Anyway. From my experience, it's virtually impossible to have more than one nation in the UN for more than a week or so before you get raped by the admins. Perhaps the system is less efficient now than it was then, but eh.

Now, as for TPM's 'suspected' UN member nations, why don't we get a list of his puppets, and we'll see if he's as much of a scumbag as Xeraph and company is.

Personally before this all got started Xeraph should of been asked directly if these other nations where his puppets. I believe we could of avoided a lot of this unpleasant mess. My only problem I had was Axis Novas set up but such things can be discussed in an occ thread. I Don't think aether Axis Nova or Xeraph is a lire.
