General:

Tinsuvilian Dynamics was called upon by Tinsuvilia’s government to answer the growing need for an air superiority fighter to engage in close quarters combat in the Imperial Air Force. The AS1 was their submission, larger, more powerful, and more maneuverable than the previously sparsely used F-22 Raptor. About 110% percent the size of the F-22, the AS1 uses the homegrown F-1-27 engine to output just over 50,000 kgf of thrust, which, when summed up, allows for a thrust-to-weight ratio of 1.04:1, proving the fighter’s flight capability. It has never been tested in actual combat, and so is being released to foreign governments for testing.

Airframe/Construction:

Airframe Makeup: 68% aluminum-lithium; 15% CFRP; 12% titanium; and 5% nickel

The AS1 uses a tri-surface configuration; with dual RAM coated canards, strake delta-wings, and horizontal stabilizers. Because the AS1 will not be going over Mach 2, a design without a tailfin is feasible, and so to reduce RCS and increase maneuverability, none will be used.

Propulsion/Engine:

Twin Tinsuvilian Electric F-1-27 engines, rated at 25,714 kgf (dry) each, with a 4D thrust vectoring control (TVC), allowing for a high amount of maneuverability.

Thrust-to-weight Ratio: 9/1
Engine Weight (individual): 3,000 kg

Electronics/Avionics:

The AS1 utilizes the fly-by-optics system for the highest maneuverability possible, necessary in Air Superiority. Information is relayed to the pilot through OLED screens, with most of the crucial information available through integrated avionics, in a tri-screen configuration. (One main screen, two secondary screens) Touch screen capability is available, but not necessary, allowing the pilot the maximum adaptability to the situation. Using a beyond visual range targeting system close to the US JHMC allows the pilot of the AS1 to control his attacks from great distances if necessary, or in close combat (the AS1’s design purpose.)

Weapons/Armament:

The AS1 uses a two bay/three station internal missile/bomb configuration, and four stations per wing, two on the fuselage external configuration. Close quarters combat requires cannon, and so a 25mm Phantom auto-cannon is housed in the nose, carrying 1,000 rounds.

OOC: It's my first fighter, I based it heavily on the fighter tutorial by SU and Jum, so things will probably look alarmingly familiar to anyone who has seen that before. That said, any criticism is welcomed.

We, at the People's Republic of Dongara, would normally buy it, but the price tag is unaffordable.

Yes, i could get around 4 or 5 F-22's for the cost of one, other wise, not bad at all.

Gave it a quick glance and I have to say it looks like a good fighter. Glad that my tutorial helped you out. :)

OOC: Heh, I wasn't expecting this many good comments, I'm flattered.

@Mer and Dong,

I was working under the assumption that the F-22 cost $120 million, and scaled that up 110% to account for my other changes... If $120 is wrong, please point me to the correct price.

@SU,

It's awesome to get compliments from my inspiration himself. Thanks. You to Geneticon.

OOC: Bump for the night, and edits to price and corrected a small error in the General section.

not bad, told you already to fix the MTOW, and not many problems besides that...

OOC: Fixed the NCW to allow the plane to fly (heh). Had to take out two more internal stations to let her fly... I'm losing my advantages over the STFU-144 now... *sigh*

OOC: Bump because I will be starting a new project soon, if anyone wants input or has a certain request, I will consider them.

I would increase your writeup before you begin a new project. You'll have a hard time selling any of these without a good long writeup. Besides that, it looks good.

OOC: I plan on it for the next one, thanks.
