The Hrstrovokian Goverment boldly declared today that it would no longer sit idle and witness the destructive ethnic violence raging between sections of the Bosniak and Bosnian-Serb communities of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The declaration is part of an initiative to become more involved in the affairs of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and is seemingly an intention to stand up for Bosnian-Serbs.

The past week has seen a severe escalation in the number of clashes between Bosnian-Serb's; who are historically related to Serbia [now Hrstrovokia] and Bosniak's, who are more predominant amongst the population and hold a greater residence in Government than their Bosnian-Serb counterparts.

Clashes between unemployed youths spread from Tuzla, just north of Sarajevo, where 2 Bosnian-Serb's where killed after a amateur football match deteriorated into a brutal scence of uncontrolled violence. The visiting Bosnian-Serb team had to be escorted back to the Republika Srpska under armed guard by members of the Bosniak Police.

In Banja Luka inside the Republika Srpska, anti-Government demonstrations were held. These demonstrations were spontaneous and unofficial, and as the demonstrators grew in number and discontent, Police had no choice but to disperse those present with water cannon and tear gas. Fighting broke out in the inner city districts, and soon spread throughout to the nearby countryside where Bosnian-Serb's erected roadblocks and stood guard over rural communties expecting a violent strike by the Bosniak Gov't.

Order seemed to be restored mid-week, but angered simmered under the veil of peace. There is seemingly widespread unhappiness in the Bosnian-Serb community, who do not feel they are adequetley represented in Government and prefer union with Hrstrovokia. Many feel there is a system of institutional apartheid being directed against them, as industries, housing, services and jobs are given to the Bosniak's, though the Bosnian-Herzegovina Gov't denies such claims.

In the last week, 34 have been killed, over 200 injured and hundreds arrested in the worst violence since the Civil War of the 1990s.

Last year, the Hrstrovokian Go'vt officially apoligized for the Civil War of the early 1990s which ripped apart the former Yugoslavia, for mass killings of Muslims, and for the violence in Kosovo towards the end of the 20th century. Premier Alexander Godoyaret proclaimed a new era in "Balkan relations, in which co-operation and peace would be the founding formula's for a lasting friendship amongst Croat's, Hrstrovokian's, Slovenes, Bosniak's, Albanian's and Macedonians."

However, the violence that erupted in Bosnia-Herzegovina appears to undo alot of the work achieved in the years since the NATO invasion of Kosovo. Though the Hrstrovokian Gov't denied it considered any military action to support the Bosnian-Serbs, many believe that a weapons smuggling operation is taking place to support those who want to achieve union with Hrstrovokian through force of arms.

Premier Godoyaret called for peace and calm on Friday, asking the Bosnian-Serb community to trust the Bosnian-Herzegovina Gov't.
