I'm just curious, but the armament listing there looks pretty much to be the one that was on the Iowa-class battleships when they were recommissioned under the Reagan administration. I'm wondering how you're gonna have battleship armaments on an aircraft carrier, which has little room to spare as most of it is taken up by aircraft, hangars, maintenance equipment, and the flight deck.

Well, it's not that they can't have weapons, but since you're going off of a real-world design, it'd make more sense to have defensive weapons like surface-to-air missiles and CIWS guns.

cheaper to put in back in service and build new ones

I suggest you get some modern weapons on the carriers
if you dont have time to make new ones, at least put modern equipment on it, upgrade it

Depends on their purpose. If they're used as ASW carriers they're perfect. You can also put medium bombers on them (USN used to put A3Ds on Ticonderoga-subclass Essexes).
