The Federation of Tombo-Bill
LONG LIVE TOMBO-BILL! LONG LIVE THE WORKING CLASS! (http://www.himalayanacademy.com/resources/books/dws/images/dws-t-is-one-Communism.jpg)

Standing army: 7,620,000
Reserves: 2,000,000

NOTE: It is written in the Tombo-Billian constitution that conscription may be enforced at any time, without a referendum or the sort. Another worthy note of mention is that if the motherland is attacked, all available men between the ages of 19 up to 55 will be recruited.

Tombo-Bill at this point in time does not give much funds to its defense budget, with this in mind some of its weapons, vehicles and the sort are near-obsolete and are from long past previous wars.

OOC: When I first saw the numbers, I thought you were godmodding. Then I looked at the equipment and realised your similar to Kriegograd... relies alot less on technology and alot more on overwhelming numbers.

In other words... nice job and very creative. ^_^

OOC: With more than 900 million people and All Consuming economy 4,6 million men wouldn't be godmodding even if he used relatively new equipment... with this WW2-tech, he could have 46 million and that would still be completely realistic. As it stands now...
T-26's? T-28's? Rata's? You could just as well disband your armed forces completely. It would save some cash, without effecting one bit on your nation's ability to fight a war.

Agree, problem is he couldn't even afford any of that stuff.

http://nstracker.retrogade.com/index.php?nation=Tombo-bill- 0% defense budget, Now I know those calculators are not the most accurate, but hes got 0% according to it- he needs to vote for an issue that says raises his defense budget- in meantime will just pretend hes got 1% or so.

Tombo- to save even more money- alot of that stuff is obsolete even by World War 2 standards. Last major war the Soviets fought was in the late 70's to late 80's. So while consider obsolete today- its still better then the World war tech- exampe I use of your army alone. BTW- you can have a higher army then 4.6 million with your population and economy. Try 18 million at 2% of your pop. 45 million at 5%, something you could easily afford to maintain with the following obsolete equipment.

BA-10 Armored Car- Removed
BA-20 Armored Car- Never heard of it (removed), theirs a BA-27
BA-64 Armored Car- Removed
BT-7 Light Tank- Removed
IS-2 Heavy Tank- Keep
IS-3 Heavy Tank- Keep
KV-1s Heavy Tank- Removed
KV-2 Heavy Tank- Was only in limited production (Removed)
KV-85 Heavy Tank- Was only in limited production, not worth the effort to maintain (Removed)
M3 General Grant Medium Tank- Removed, better focussing on the T-34/85 series
M4A2 General Sherman Medium Tank- Removed, same reason as above
Mk.III Valentine Light Tank- Removed, same reason as above
T-26 Light Tank- Removed, so old- 1931 in enter service, not worth the effort
T-28 Medium Tank- Removed
T-34 Mod.41 Medium Tank- Removed, only need one model
T-34 Mod.42 Medium Tank- Keep
T-34/85 Medium Tank- Keep
T-35 Heavy Tank- Removed
T-70 Light Tank-Keep, this tank replaced the T-40
Sdkfz.184 'Ferdinand' Anti-Tank SPG- Removed, Russians produced their own SPG
SdKfz.186 'Jagdtiger' Anti-Tank SPG- Removed, same reason as above
Foot Corps: AK-74, Frag Grenades.-Keep
Assault Section: Stg 44 Assault rifle, Combat Knife.- Removed

5. T-72 series- same as above
6. BRDM-1/2 Scout Car
7. BTR-50 APC if your really cheap- or just go with the MT-LB APC
8. BMP-1 ICV
9. BTR-60/70
10. ASU-57 tank destroyer (service 1951)
11. BRDM-1/2 ATGW tank desroyer
12. ASU-85 Tank destroyer (service 1962)
13. SU-76 assault gun (service 1942)
14. SU-152/ISU-152 assault gun (service 1943)

OOC: Yep, UE said it well. About the aircraft, pretty much the same... it's better to have no aircraft at all that to waste wood, metal and manpower in propeller planes that have no, not even theoretical, possibility of shooting down anything in year 2006.

If you really want to have an airforce, use Mig21's or even MiG15's then, atleast they're jets. Pe-2 and IL-2 Sturmovik are good designs though, so I'd keep them... but Polikarpov's and LaG's are just completely wortless fighters in these days.

You also might want to put in Katyusha truck mounted Rocket Artillery. They're superb against infantry and towed artillery.
