Background:
The Alaska system has an interesting history. It WAS a triple star system, but in 2089, all three stars went nova. Every single planet in the system was demolished, and the system was flooded with radiation.

Luckily, this was centuries before the first humans arrived there.

The Alaska system was at first deemed unsuitable for colonization, due to the presence of high radiation levels and the absence of planets. However, the remains of the planets, which by now had become massive asteroid fields, gave Alaska immense mineral wealth. Mining bases were established in short order, beginning with Juneau Mining Facility in 2258.

Later, the miners became more independent, and by 2312, the seven major mining bases, along with Inuit Research Station, were independent of other mining companies. They later decided that, given how many of their exported minerals were being used for ship construction, that they should build a shipyard of their own. So Bering Shipyards was constructed, starting in 2320. A series of agreements were signed there, collectively called the Bering Accords, that further unified the system.
In 2326, Professor Aleksander Domas of the Inuit Research Station announced that he had perfected the Domas Array, which turned radiation into useable energy. Soon, biodomes powered by Domas Arrays were constructed, and Alaska finally had a food source within the system. The stage was set for the final move...

Bering Shipyards, Alaska System
A gaunt woman with blonde hair stands at a podium. She wears a gray spacer's uniform.
"I am Nina Alatov, Chairman of the Bering Accords Committee. I am presenting the final draft of the Sixth Accord, which hereby establishes the Allied States of the Alaskan Federation as an independent nation. Bering Shipyards is the capital of this new nation."
"We have adopted a version of the American constutition as our own. There are currently nine states in Alaska:
Juneau Mining Facility
Anchorage Station
Khabarovsk Depot
Nome Mining Facility
Aleutian Mining Station
Inuit Research Station
McKinley Station
Vladivostok Outpost
Bering Shipyards

All foreign claims on even a single grain of dust or cubic centimeter of space are hereby revoked. Elections will be held in the very near future."

"Captain," said a lieutenant, "We have arrived at system J-522."
"Excellent," said Captain Rogers. "What kind of system are we looking at?"
"It apears to be filled with asteroid fields," replied the science officer. "No planets for colonization."
"Well, scan the asteroids," said Rogers. "Perhaps they have resources that we can use."
"Captain! I'm picking up energy signitures!" shouted the science officer. "Multiple ships and docking structures."
"It apears that we aren't the first to find these asteroids," said Rogers. "Open a channel. Lets introduce ourselves."

This is Captain Daniel Rogers, of the Confederation of Terren Planets. We are on a mission of peaceful exploration. Please respond.

OOC: Terran Planets, I have seen your other posts and I have figured out that you use Star Trek technology. I should therefore advise you that there are high radiation levels in the Alaska system. Your transporter may not work. Besides, dropping your shields might not be the best idea.

"Very well," said Rogers. "Have the shuttlebay prep a shuttle for flight. And alert the shipyards of the change in plans."

And that small wave of gravity passed quietly through the fields, disturbing asteroids only closest to that stealthy black bird. Only that slim reflection of distant stars across a leading edge gave sign of its physical existance. Other than that slim reflection, it was an insignificant.

"Positive detection, Doctor."

A tenor whisper, clicking away into dull information.

"Fuck. . ."

Something unsuited for that voice.

"Large one, too. Hey, communications is telling me it's a mining community."

"Not entirely worthless. . ."

Mark Liat sent the standard signal to the Exeter:
"Exeter shuttle, this is Bering Shipyards. You are cleared to dock. Please proceed to dock 3."

*****************

"Fod ship, welcome to the Alaska system. If you wish to meet with our leaders, please proceed to Bering Shipyards (coordinates included)."

Nina Alatov looked at the sensor readout. Five heavy cruisers? She now regretted sending the Polar Blade to Cravan. Oh well, perhaps she could get them to approach peacefully. She dispatched a message to Juneau to send a few patrol ships to escord the battlecruisers in.
"Sephrioth ships this is Acting President Nina Alatov. We are dispatching ships to escort you to Bering Shipyards where I will meet with you. Welcome to Alaska."

OOC Sephrioth: The Alaskans use very different technology from Star Wars or Star Trek. As I stated earlier, I doubt transporters will work in this system, given the high radiation levels.
Also, the Alaskans do not know what a Star Destroyer is. I figure that a Star Destroyer is the equivalent of a heavy cruiser.
For the record, the Alaskans lack any knowledge of:
Transporters
The Force
Androids/droids
Shields

The Galactic Empire of Mationbuds Expeditionary and Scouting Force was always vigiliant . Looking for new planets to colonialise or take over . Then Commander Nicholas received a comlink message from a young ensign reporting a asteroid cluster field with several orbital shipyards in the area .

Commander Nicholas then ordered the expeditionary force to move in ...

OOC :

The force consists of :

+ 6 Imperial Star Destroyers
+ 4 Vagabond Star Destroyers
+ 8 Interdictor Cruisers
+ 10 Nebulon-B Frigates
+ 20 Defender Class Light Cruisers
+ 10 Carrack Class Light Cruisers
+ 1 Venator Class Star Destroyer (carrying 500 Vanguard Troops , 1 AT-AT , 1 AT-TE , 20 Hover Tanks , 1 Clone Turbo Tank , 1000 Battle Droids , 20 Droidekas , 30 Lambada Class Shuttles and 2 Squadrons of TIE Fighters/X-Wings and 2 Squadrons of B-Wings)
+ 12 Lancer Class Frigates
+ 10 Adjudicator Class Cruiser

They are actually enough to capture a heavily defended planet or a lightly defended star system .

OOC: Yes, very much so. That, and there's absolutely no call for warships yet in this RP whic has potential which will be ruined if it continues to follow this course. Not everything has to go boom. Either way, I'm out of this. I refuse to RP with Mationbuds on the premise that he's coherent, and is throwing in spacedy explosion ships on the first post.

OOC: OK, Sephrioth, Mationbuds, please get out of my system. There is no need for warships and invasions yet.
If Sephrioth decides to pull the four additional star destroyers from the system, he can continue. I can accept a single star destroyer being sent on a mission of first contact, especially with a potential economic powerhouse such as Alaska. As for Mationbuds, I don't recognize your fleet's existence - or, failing that, I don't recognize your radiation shielding's existence.

The Executive Wing, Bering Shipyards
Acting President Nina Alatov was meeting with her top advisers as to how to deal with the Sephrioth and Mationbud warships.
"Well, all of these ships indicate several large military presences beyond Alaska," said Admiral David Bovarich, who had recently been appointed Secretary of the Navy.
"Enough to send five warships on a single first contact mission?" asked Alatov.
Yuri Alatov, the President's Chief of Staff and husband, interjected.
"Given that declarations of independence are often accompanied by a military buildup to match, they may be worried about us."
Alatov turned to her AI assistant, Demia. Her translucent blue hologram took the appearance of an Alaskan spacer.
"Demia, what are our military assets, excluding the Polar Blade?"
Demia responded "Bering has two destroyers - Pulsar and Independence. Several of our mining stations have heavy police cruisers - the equivalent of destroyers. We should also consider our heavy mining vessels - Juneau has some pretty impressive ones with short-range plasma cannons used to break up asteroids. And of course we have our patrol craft, but they aren't much. But the Zemlya should be complete in a few days."
"So we have several ships with military potential, and certainly we have numeric superiority, but we don't have a true military force," Alatov summarized.
"Yes, ma'am. I recommend that we work peacefully with Sephrioth and Mationbud. Unless they have hostile intentions, we should be able to avoid a conflict entirely."
"Agreed. Besides," the Acting President smiled, "to maintain a large fleet, they would need a lot of titanium."

Mationbuds ships, welcome to Alaska. Please proceed to Bering Shipyards to meet with our government.

The TAS Lexington and its 4 smaller brothers and sisters, slowly floated along the dark shimmering void of space, there zero mass gravimetric drives pushing them along slowly, The Lexington was a 2.5 Km battle carrier its long sleek body shimmered in the darkens of space, its dark gray hull reflecting light from a nearby star, 2 of the other ships were Polaris class destroyers, the third ship was a defender class frigate.. The detachment raced froth, on the Lexington commander Adrian reed stood up looking out towards the darkening void in front of him, his blue eyes panning the infinite darkness his skinny but burly body shimmering a bit In the light, the bridge was big but it was brightly lit, its chrome white walls floors and ceilings were lit with white lights, blue lines streaked across the bridge and out a door.

A communications came in from Tarren Force Naval command.
The con officer quickly taped the AI holographic panel and swiveled his chair over looking at the salt pepper slightly toned commander he said “Sir we have an incoming message from TFNC….”

The commander responded in a loud but clam voice looking back his hands to his side his eyes still fixated in to space… “What did the message say”

The con responded “It said.. let me pull it up..” he taped a button and a message came up he began to read.

The Tarren alliance, has detected and has also heard of a new nation that had appeared several light years from your location, The Tarren senate has dictated that your detachment is to make diplomatic and peaceful contact with these people, if there are any aggressive nations attempting to forcibly secure the system, against this nations will you have the authority to intervene, if we befriend this nation they will be a valuable power asset for later use

The commander nodded “I see… well helm set a course for this system…”

Suddenly the ships engines came to life, noise began reverberating throughout the ship, as the large sleek shimmering hull was engulfed in to the dark void it self.. Several seconds passed and the ship reappeared inside the system its jump engines powering down as the large sleek ships shimmered back in to existence in a large array of colors.

The commander stood forth looking out to the other nations ships and the new nations facilities, he said with a quick wisp of the head, “Open communications frequencies.. Send them this message”.

To the new nation that has appeared
This is the Tarren alliance ship Lexington, we are hear to open negotiations, and diplomatic contact with your nation, We await your response..

The Lexington and its sisters were no ships to be fooled with, the Lexington it self had a complement of over 250 S/A-32 Thunderbolt star fighters, Massive weapons arrays, and missile armaments.

The destroyer’s carry around 100 S/A-32 Thunderbolts and a smaller armament than the carriers but still a significant one.

Alaskan System Oort Cloud

The Cricket Class light-cruiser designation Cricket 3 of the HHS Bluebird Battle planetoid of the Melii Survey Group Epsilon followed the bread crumbs from the New Cravan System back to one of the Home Systems of the several non-Cravan Gaijins. She had discovered a new tribe of Devils. That’ll show the HHS Magpie. Cricket 3 notified herself in the HHS Bluebird of her estimates of the Alaskans.

They were not a threat and peaceful. Contact could be safely made, however, an entire Ship-of-the-Line would be wasteful. Not to mention the fact that it may just sour the relationship...the native barbarians did not react very well to the intrusion of the other Foreign Tribes warships. It would be best if the Cricket 3 established contact. It was a short hop to the New Cravan system and she could easily run or call for re-enforcements if she had too.

Captain MAO “Coyote” Agni was forced to concur. The Cricket could take care of herself, besides who would want to invade a high radiation wasteland? True there was alot of potential resources and energy, but there were easier places to harvest both. The Alaskans like their namesake from the Archives were rich in resources but rather poor in Environment.

Bluebird of Cricket 3 was inclined to both agree and disagree. Those orbital habitats were the first step in building worldships. They just needed a few decades of “tinkering” She could... Why the Infinite Hells not? It would be a great gift! Non-interference Protective Directorate of Primitive Foreign Devils was just a guideline...rules were just suggestions and centuries old laws were old suggestions. The Commander was being a typical stubborn Melii. She continued mumbling even as she dropped into side-real space on the extreme outskirts of the Alaskan System.

The standard guns salute targeted a small Oort Body and fired a single missile barrage. It would not be nearly as impressive as a planetoid Ship of the Line barrage but it should still be picked up by the local wogs. Besides the explosions sharply outlined her lovely ruby teardrop design. The lights danced along the largely crystalline exterior. She was far enough away from the stars high radiation burst to use minimum flicker fields <shields.> A slightly transparent bronze teardrop encircled her ruby colored hull.

She would wait for the foreigners response...

Bering Shipyards Docking Bay
Mark Liat stood to greet the Kitr Lord from Sephrioth.
"Welcolme to Bering Shipyards. I am afraid that President Alatov is meeting with another nation. Until she is available, I will deal with you. We will be launching one of our new cruisers shortly, and I would be honored if you would join us."
In truth, the Zemlya was not quite ready - the jump drive was still offline. However, a strange warship had opened fire on an Oort body at the edge of the system. They needed her NOW. Zemlya, along with Pulsar and Independence, would deal with the aggressive intruder.

Bluebird smiled...they were sending a welcome party! She pinged them with hard scans and targeted their critical systems. The Weapon systems remained offline...wouldn't want to cause a misunderstanding. She was a bit confused...just a few seconds ago sensors had picked up a stranger, perhaps even and Outsider. The Ship configuration was a sensible sphere...the drives utilized fold space. AND now it was just a ghost whisper. It was most disturbing.

Condition Yellow. The Misquitoes and Fireflies Star Fighter wings deployed and assumed an Honour Gaurd position relative to the incoming Alaskans.

Coyote smoothed his black hair and straighted his Robes. Good first impressions. He turned to the Holo-Comm. "Greetings Barbarians of Alaskan. I am Captain MAO "Coyote" of the Parasite Diplomatic light-cruiser Cricket 3 of the HHS Bluebird of the Melii Survey Group Epsilon. We have come to open relations with your tribe."

He bowed and waited.

The TAS Lexington slowly but surely moved towards the ship yards its large body shimmering light around it, its hull reflecting the stars lighting its sleek metal hull, its gravimetric drives pushing it forward as streams of white and blue pour from it..

The task force followed behind, the Lexington slowed, its ominous large body looming over some ships in the area. The ship docked meanwhile, the pressurized dock opened, the tall six foot tall young commander walked out he looked around his feet taping on the martial below , his grey blue obviously tarren uniform gleamed in what ever light there was.

The launch of the Zemlya was the major news event of the day. Admiral Bovarich christened the ship with, as was Alaskan tradition, a bottle of McKinley vodka.

AFNS Zemlya
Captain Sasha Cohen sat in her command chair. The first mission of the Zemlya would be to greet the newest arrivals.
"Gravity drive at full power," reported the Zemlya's AI, Token.
Cohen keyed the comm. "All hands, prepare for maximum acceleration."
The Zemlya accelerated to ten gravities and set course to intercept the Me Li ships. At this acceleration, it would take them about a day to reach the Me Li fleet.
The Pulsar and Independence, the two Alaskan destroyers, moved in alongside the Zemlya.

Docking Bay, Bering Shipyards
Jubal Kane, the leader of the Republican party and the unofficial opposition leader, stood to greet the Federal Union. He had been slightly surprised when Alatov had asked him to do this, but he appreciated the gesture. Given that Alatov herself was meeting with Terren Planets and Mark was dealing with the Sephrioth Kitr Lord, Kane was a good candidate for "high-ranking official".
"Greetings. I am Jubal Kane, leader of the Alaskan Republican party. Welcolme to Bering Shipyards."
OOC: The Alaskan Republican party bears more resemblance to Thomas Jefferson than George W. Bush.

Juneau Observation Lounge, Bering Shipyards
Yuri Alatov, the First Gentleman of Alaska and Chief of Staff to President Alatov, was busy talking with staff members. He had been assigned to plan a dinner for all of the foreign dignitaries for tonight. Luckily, a celebration dinner had already been in the works to launch the Zemlya, so it was just a matter of moving it up and changing the guest list.
Every Alaskan station master would attend, along with many business leaders. Yuri had to pick the right ones to invite. All the mining companies, for sure. And the major manufacturers and shippers. Domas Enterprises, Alaskan Industries, Pulsar Optronics, Delta Commerce... all would be represented. Despite Aleksander Domas' academic credentials, he would still be here as the head of Domas Enterprises. They would need a few more professors. Show them that Alaska was more than an alliance of mining companies.

Well at least the barbarians had moved beyond chemical reaction mass drives. Their acceleration was an acceptable real-space speed of 10-Gs...still it would take the better part of an entire day for them to reach her. Bluebird was most impatient with this primitives. Why do we even bother?

...the Demons...oh yeah you remember...the Demons?!?Coyote reminded her. We have to warn them of the Demons.

I wonder if they noticed the Stranger's Globe...very demonic it was before it disappeared.

Bluebird began snooping on the local Net. Electronic Recon. She dived in as a Bluebird and disquised herself as a Bluebird's shadow...shinobi/ninpo assasan. Arggg. She would deeply plant the seeds of a world ship design throughout the Local Net. Within a few decades the wogs should find aspects of a world-ship...no fingerprints! OOC: What is a world-ship?

IC:
After reading the Me li communication, the Alaskans decided that these people needed a lesson in humility. Rather than sending them to Bering Shipyards, they would be detoured to the nearest station - Juneau Mining Facility. Here they would meet not with the leaders of the Alaskan Federation, but with the people of the Alaskan Federation. Another advantage was that if the Me li did not take their lesson well, the gigantic Juneau mining fleet could simply blast them into submission.

ooc: A world-ship is exactly what it sounds like...think of your space habitats plus a moderate sized planetoid...Pluto, Charon, Luna...and drives, weapons, etc...viola A world-ship! The Cricket is lightly armed diplomatic cruiser about 1.5 km long...teardrop. It is a parasite to the mothership. We just buried some tech insights into various journals...you'll find them eventually.

Well now. This Mining facility reminded Bluebird of Home...almost. It was massive but yet lacked many of the Melii systems she had come to expect of a world ship. This was a very impressive Station-Habitat for a primitive tribe. Those lasers and missles looked painful. Yup...savages with high-tech weapons. She thrusted laterally to avoid some large space junk. Gravametric manuevering was a pain. Why didn't the barbarians keep the approach vector free of space debris? If I was the suspicious type, I would get the distinct impression they had plotted this course to make me move past all of this junk. For that matter, why are we being directed to this Facility...they must be an Industrious Tribe.

Bluebird scanned the System...for such a remote and inhospitable place they sure had alot of traffic. She made note of all the inbound vessels...a lot of guests. Her eyes noticed a ripple in real space as yet another ship entered the system...something about this vessel seemed vaguely familar. The Black Coyote agreed with her. It reminded him of something he couldn't place. The active scans gave it a hard ping...no bio-signs... stasis... unmanned probe... death ship ...of what Tribe? The Alaskans surely wouldn't send a probe to their own Home System. The Sephrion were already here and their Enemies and Allies also tended to rush into things with huge fleets. The Federal Union was already here. It matched the basic config for...Another dancer in the great games? He assigned it a mid-level query status. In the future, she would allocate some of her attention to the new unknown little ship. Hmm...another ship...different configuration. Ancestors it was getting crowded.

She sighed and flashed her flicker fields.

"Alaskan Control, this is Cricket 3 of the HHS Bluebird requests docking clearance...Over."

A self replicating probe enters the system. It has stealth technology. It begins to map the planets and asteroids in systems. Finding no planets and lots of raw materials, asteroids, cometary materials, it sends a brief signal outbound to a scout ship. Potential high resource system, signs of advanced civilization. Initiate contact protocol. The probe coasts along on its field drive finding a position well away from any ships, it begins to map the inner system using high powered sensors.

Shortly after the probe sends its signal, a cylindrical scout ship enters the system. It is not a very large ship. It does not initiate any contact, but moves into the center of the system fairly quickly. It is surrounded by what looks like a flickering nimbus of multicolored light (a field drive). Monitors inside the ship switch on feeding in incoming signals from local traffic. They are picking up local information. Any wireless feeds, subspace, quantum tunneling, ansible, or radio signals will be fed into a database for translation and assimilation. All transmissions will be monitored and noted. We are awaiting contact.

The Alaskans decided that given how Bering Shipyards was quickly filling up, it would be best to divert the Theocracy ships to Anchorage Station, a major trade center.
Dural, this is Bering Shipyards. Our docking ports are full, so we are diverting you to Anchorage Station (coordinates attached). Welcome to Alaska.

The Melii Marines decided against powered armor...and went with simple dress whites. They deployed smartly and created a clear path for the Black Coyote. The Coyote had decided on simple grey and black robes with silver edgings. These Alaskans seemed to be a goodly folk, not impressed by flashy displays. Bluebird projected a view of the Inner Systems...Magnificently destructive. No they had enough flashy things.

As he exited the Ship, Bluebird flashed the flicker fields and played the lights along her hull. The bosun's whistle sounded and the marines excuted their drilled parade sweeps with practiced ease. Coyote bowed first to the young woman, and then to her father.

The Captain of the Guards presented the Coyote's credentials on a platnium platter. The credentials were handwritten in many of the Olde Tongues on very fine parchment. The Admiral himself had calligraphied the notes. There was to a standard data-cube and displayer as well as an assortment of other archaic data modules. He would note their prefered choices.

The Melii delagation waited. What would the gaijin do?

Bluebird dispatched a Wing of Misquitoes to form an honour gard for the Friendly Gaijin...they would first buzz it...it was standard procedure.

We are heading towards anchorage station. You notice that the Heim Burkhard field drive works in systems. We are there very quickly. The probe burns up entering the center of the system, we did not stop it from going forward quickly. The electromagnetics are fried by radiation. It does however give a better scan of the inner system before it burns out. We will provide this to you for free.

The envoy steps off the ship. He is a tall thin person. There are holographic tattoos, and embedded synthetic gems covering where he has received some modifications. His head is a bit bigger than normal and there are intricate oc tattoos visible on his head. He is wearing what looks like a high collared blue synthetic spider silk jacket, and wide loose cotton pants. He staggers slightly from the heavier gravity.

He says, "Hello I am Malthus Cruonis, I am a scout envoy from the First Commonalitarianism of Man. We were alerted to your system by one of our many self- replicating probes." He pauses for a moment.

"We are very interested in trading technology with you. Our probes have found many worlds which are not inhabitable with standard Commonalitarianism technology."

"It appears that your habitats are designed to resist radiation, and other extrasolar problems which has limited our further expansion." "We have been sending out probes since 2100 from old earth."

"So many self replicating Von Neumann probes have been sent out that we have managed to map out large portions of the galaxy." "We can offer a solar map of most of the systems within 100 light years of your present location." "These will not be incredibly detailed, but should give the location of planetary bodies, asteroid fields, and whether or not a system is likely to be inhabited." "We have also mapped out where the probes have simply disappeared or been destroyed for unknown reasons."

"Our primary focus is on trade of technology and the acquisition of cultural knowledge. We are open for business. We do not need raw materials which are in abundance in the asteroid and oort clouds of many systems."

"Commander, we are cleared to enter Alaskan space. we are to be diverted to a secondary facility at a place known as Anchorage. reason stated for divertion, the docking stations at Beiring are currently unable to house us. your orders sir?"

Veratov considered his next move, running his hand through his dreadlocks with a thoughtful expression. "ensign, continue on to our assigned docking port at Anchorage. with the abundance of never before contacted species here, caution is advised. stick to our instructed path, steer clear of the sephroith ships. tell the frigates to flank, escort pattern. make sure weapons are offloine, shields down. we come peacefully, lets make sure they get that impression."

drifting slowly into the docking space, the Dural manouvered to meet the docking hatches, airlocks hissing into place. Veratov donned his red cape of office over his jet black commanders uniform, his gold knots of rank in the braid evident on his shoulder, not flashy, not severe, but a figure who seemed to impart keen intellect and wit.

his honour gaurd of six Aiel, unarmed except for ceremonial sabers, flanked him as he walked into the airlock, awaiting the door leading into the Alaskan copound.

Anchorage Station

The Alaskan station master, Eve Yanovich, stood to greet her guests. She wore the standard spacers' garb of Alaskans, but it was neatly pressed. A gold cross hung from her neck.
"Welcome to Anchorage. I am sure we have much to discuss. Please, follow me."
Yanovich led her guests to her office.

Juneau Mining Facility
Dean Reynolds stepped forward and examined several of the data modules.
"Miss Ilan, could you help me here?"
Rachel Ilan came over to look at the equipment. She took the data cube, and placed it in a small portable computer at her waist, while David Koren examined the scroll. He did not understand most of the languages on it, just the English and Russian. Koren pressed a small button, and a green holographic figure about a meter and a half tall appeared at his side. It was Koren's AI, Kala.
In stark contrast to the plain-garbed Alaskans, Kala was dressed like an early 21st-century businesswoman, with a jacket, knee-length skirt, and long hair.
Kala looked at the scroll.
"It's just saying the same thing in about 20 languages - the credentials of the ship captain."
Koren led the group to the VIP lounge.

Bluebird took note of the AI...archaic Western Merchant's Guilds dress...so the savages hold to some traditions. The Babel-fish embedded in the inner ears of the delegation had translated the anglais and ruskies into comprehensable Melii. Bluebird ran a language drift algorithm...it predicted that these Alaskans were not very far removed from the original human stock of Holy Terra. They were very close! Barely a few centuries of lingual shift...Coyote agreed silently and then cursed...they would be unlikely to stand up to the Incursions.

Coyote smiled politely to the three Juneaii Alaskans. A time for a joke?!? He preformed a ridiculous court bow and solemnly raised his right hand. 3.

"How! Live Long and Prosper! Take us to your Leader!"

Veratov followed the Alaskan negotiator to her offices, taking note of the surroundings and architecture. a civilization worthy of contact in his eyes.

handing over his credentials and entitlements given to him by the Theocracy, Veratov enquired "mistress Yanovich, thank you for allowing us to contact your nation here in your facilities. i represent the Theocracy, and have full power over all decisions that arrise during negotiations, except anything that may directly conflict with our current policies.may i ask what that symbol represents to your people? i only ask out of ignorance of your culture..."

As the last words left his mouth, he followed Yanovich into her office, leaving his ceremonial gaurd in the ante chamber.

Space over Anchorage Station

An Earthican merchant ship based out of New New York City arrived through the Alaska System and arrived to the young Alaskan, hopefully trading, station on Anchorage...

"Wait, so what is this we're going to?"

"It's Anchorage Station, part of the newly-independent Alaskan Federation."

"Isn't there an Alaska already back on Earth?"

"This is Alaska too... only in space."

"Pfft... what'll they think of next? Space Pirates?"

"Actually..."

The momentum of the small mercantile delivery ship slowed down as it began to approach the docking of the station on the pristine Alaskan asteroids.

"This is an Earthican merchant ship calling Anchorage Station. Permission to dock for fuel."

In fact, I think I am going to close this thread just about now. Pretty soon I will set up a new thread for the upcoming dinner.

Yanovich looked down at the cross around her neck.
"Oh, that is a religious symbol. I am a Christian."

Koren was a little uncertain about how to respond.
"Well, our leader is at Bering Shipyards. Many ships are in Alaska at this time, and Bering Shipyards is full up. However, tomorrow we will have a dinner at Bering Shipyards for all our foreign guests so they can conduct business with representatives from all over Alaska. You will be able to meet her then."

To Sephrioth
Mark Liat did not know what that device at the Kitr Lord's belt was. He decided not to inquire.
"Well, shall I show you to your accomodations?"

ooc: The new one...He was commenting that there was an Alaska on Earth...I don't think he tried controling any of your people.

Coyote smiled politely...hmm...maybe this place has more Ruskie influence? The Maricons would understand the cultural references. Bluebird concured. We made an incorrect assumpotion of Ameri-Euro cultural set based on the AI's costume. Perhaps...standard procedures for associating with primitive gaijins? They would probe.

Coyote half-bowed.

Very well...Governor? We will enjoy ourselves in your habitat. This facility is a goodly Seed!
Alaska...it is a place on Holy Terra yes? Your system resembles it?

The Captain Black Coyote was grinning as he directed his queries to the young lady's Father.

Veratov nodded as he sat back in the chair in Yanovichs' office.

"I see. yes, there is a small grouping of that particular religion on our homeworld, but they are a definate minority with the majority leading an agnostic lifestyle. we Toppites are distrustful of major churchs at present...But enough of religious chatter, let us get down to business. our diplomatic channels have picked up communications of a dinner to be held between the delegates back at the Beiring facility. is this where you wish all negotiations to take place, or can a little outsider trading and discussions take place here..."

OOC: Yeah, it's called humor, look it up sometime. The character was merely commenting to the other character that there already was an Alaska back on Earth but then the other explained that this asteroid chain is like Alaska, only in space. I haven't controlled any of your people and the only dialogue has been by my people who are merely looking for permission to dock at Anchorage Station.

OOC: OK, this thread is no longer needed. The new thread, regarding the dinner, is here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=11021686#post11021686). You will all meet with the President, the station masters of Alaska, and (most importantly), every major Alaskan CEO.

I will assume that you all get there somehow. Just go to the thread and start posting. I will use the various CEOs and politicians to interact with everyone.

And Sephrioth, I knew that the device was a light katana - you said so. However, Mark Liat did NOT know what it was.

And Earthicon, sorry. I'll say that you docked and then got an invite to the dinner.
