Okay, if you didn't know, the Easter Rising occured in Ireland on Easter Monday. Look it up if you are interested and want to join but you know nothing about it. You can be one of the leaders or a 'soldier' for them. You can also be one of the Brits...

Join my 1st Battalion, it took the brunt of the fighting so your character will certainly see a lot of action.
If you meant the British army... I recon the number 26 for a British division that was quickly moved to Dublin from England. 26th Sutherland Division or something like that. But can't say for sure, really. Have check that out.

Yes? He's going to be corporal of it. I do think the rank of corporal was used in the Óglaigh na hÉireann, though I won't make a bet on that.

Oh, sorry! I didn't notice your earlier post in which you said you'd be a British soldier. I just though you wanted to be a corporal and forgot to say of which side :D
About that 26th... It was really just a guess, and even ig it was right, it was a divisional number, not a battalion. But like Drexel said, that can be made up.
