From the Foreign Ministry of the Most Serene Republic of Connaught-Kerry

Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great regret that I inform you of this tragedy. This morning, during rush hour, five bombs were exploded in our country's capital city, Galway. One of the bombs caused severe damage to the national Parliament, killing no less than ten of our nation's legislators.

Two of the bombs collapsed an underground tunnel near the Central Business District, trapping many people. Rescue efforts are underway at this time, but we expect the casualties to be severe.

The other bomb disrupted power supplies to our capital for two hours, but power has been restored.

We have reasons to believe that this act of terrorism was caused by foreign force or forces. We urge any nations with any information to please aid us in our hunt for these men.

As a result of the bombings, our nation is now in a state of mourning. All education institutions have been closed down, and will remain so until next week. All government offices have been closed until next week as well. The President of the Republic has decreed a national moment of silence for 15 minutes, which will happen tomorrow at 8AM, the time of the bombings.

Thank you for your time, and please aid us in our search for the bombers.
