From: Demetrios Angelos

Greetings to you in peace. I would like to further relations between us. I have been considering opening a foreign student exchange between NRG and El Caudillo so that our young minds can learn from each other. If you are interested, contact me and we can discuss it. I hope everything goes well and that these students learn much.

The applications of Isabelle and Wilhelm are acceptable. You may send them over.

Meanwhile,
Constantine and Emily were sent over to El Caudillo via a plane, marked with the Palaeologus Ensign. The plane landed and they stepped out, expecting to be greeted by a El Caudillo offical.

A pudgy, stern-faced nun greeted them. She shook their hands, then said, "I expect you two to be on your best behavior. No profanity, homosexuality, immorality, misbehavior, subversion, disobedience, or any other kind of trouble."

OOC-You can send your kids now too.

IC-''Peace be to you, servant of Christ.'' Constantine said. His family told him to respect the clergy, monastics and those of the consecrated life. ''We will follow all the rules. We won't misbehave.'' he said. ''Can you show us where we will be going to school?''

Emily watched closely, letting Constantine talk to the nun.

The nun whacked Constantine on the back of the neck with her cane, sending him sprawling to the ground. "We always use the word 'please' when we ask questions, young man!" she screamed.

-----

The plane landed on the runway at the NRG airport.

The two kids disembarked, wide-eyed with wonder.

Emily went to Constantine and helped him up. ''I must have forgotten to say that. My apologies.'' Constantine said, feeling his neck. ''May you please show us where we will be going to school?'' Emily said.

A Orthodox priest (since you have a Catholic nun, why not?) came to the two kids from El Caudillo and said ''Peace be with you. I am Demetrios Tzannetakis, a clergyman and friend of the head of state. Would you like me to show you where you will be going to school?''

The nun smiled. "Now, there's a good little girl." She handed Emily a piece of chocolate.

In BRG...

"Yes, please. We would like to see."

''Thank you for this piece of chocolate.'' Emily said, placing it in her mouth. ''Can you please take us to our school?'' she then said.

Demetrios nodded and took them to a school with a statue of St. John Chrysostom with the caption ''Glory to God for all things!'' which were his last words. ''This is St. John Chrysostom School, you will be going here.'' Demetrios said. He went with them into a class and the teacher said ''Good day.'' to the priest who greeted him back. ''These are the kids from El Caudillo. They will be going to this and other classes.'' Demetrios said. He got them their seats and said ''I want you other kids to respect them. I will be back soon to see how you are, you two.''

"You are most welcome, darling. Yes, I will take you there now."

She led them to Holier-than-Thou Sweet Mary Mother of God Catholic School for Young Minds, a rigidly authoritarian, unbelievably strict, puritanical school that stressed fundamentalist moral values, total obedience to the teacher and God, and very hard work. Eight hours' worth of homework per day was not unusual.

"Here you are."

----

"Um...hello," Isabelle said.

''What a nice school. It is named after the Theotokos even.'' Emily said, admiring the scenery and the school. Constantine looked at the classes, wondering which ones he and Emily would go to. ''Thank you for taking us here.'' Constantine and Emily said to the nun.

''Good day to you. I am Mr. John Phocas, your teacher, at least one of them. Would you like to introduce yourselves?'' John said to Isabelle and Wilhelm.
