Is it me, or are there others out there who are sick and tired of seeing all of the threads concerning "seeking wives" and "seeking husbands" ?
If your'e hard up for a date, or just feeling horney, join an online dating service or go find a hooker. Keep your hormones off NS.
No one is making you participate in the threads, and they are perfectly acceptable, and implying these threads are results of horniness and lack of love in their real lives is ridiculous.
PR'ing the marriage of two leaders from different nations is a great way to make a history for a character, and I will continue to do so with the rest of the royal family I have created.
Even princes & princesses want :fluffle: ! :D

I do have to agree, since it does take away from some of the other RPs out there, but, then again, i'm mnot participating so it doesn't bother me too much.
I wholeheartedly agree with the Katanas. A marriage thread is one thing. That's a viable way to make ties between nations. But all these "looking for" threads are a nusiance. If those seeking spouses for their characters were a little more creative, they could write a thread that would lead to marriage instead of overtly seeking one.

It's some sort of nod back to the days when nobles and royalty would announce their intentions to find a spouse, I believe. It doesn't happen too much in modern times, but, it's certainly not entirely uncalled for.
They aren't threads to just seek marriage, they ultimately do lead to the marriage of the two characters.
And I disagree that they take away from the other RPs.

they are actually one of the best ways to build a character's personality.

Lets start a war among all of the people who don't like the 'seeking marriage' threads! I have an island and OOB from a war that fell through we could use to kick it off even.

OOC: Some people take the history of their characters a bit more seriously than others. Some people also take it a bit too far. It really depends on the person, or the character if they're really into it.
In short, if you don't agree with it, don't click the link. I don't like them, so I don't click them, and it's worked pretty well up to this point.
