OOC:This is the full history of Zukariaa all the way up to it's take over by Kraven. It is simply for reference and such.
The History Of Zukariaa
A few hundred years ago, a small band of men from France set out to find a new world. The people had recently learned of Columbus's discovery of the Americas, and these men wished to find something themselves. One night, after many many months of sailing, they landed on the shore of what is now Zukariaa.
A group of the men left to give word to the King, while the others began to search for natives and begin a new life. Three and a half years later, the men returned. What they found was a large colony of hundreds of men and women. They docked, and with them, many more people and supplies.
The years went by, and the people began to want to live seperatly from France.
The Revolution
The representative from France also wanted to be seperate from France, and suddenly took control. His name was Zuka. No one knew his last name.
Zuka believed in a new kind of government; not Democracy, not Monarchy. He believed that one person should rule the country, and that the people deserved no rights what-so-ever. They were simply resources that the leader used as he needed. That is what he believed himself, but the people thought that he believed in Democracy.
He slowly built their trust, built a small army, and began a revolution.
France was much more powerful, but the 'Zukariaans' fought with all of they could.
They resorted to guirrila warfare and, somehow, they won.
After the war, Zuka reveiled what he had really been planning. His army believed in him and whatever he said, and so, followed him. They forced the people to do as Zuka said, when he said. The Empire of Zukariaa came to be.
The Zukariaan Civil War
Believe it or not, times were peaceful for about 100 years. Nothing happened. It was now the time of Emperor Zuka III. Somehow, the people finally started to hate the way their government was being run. A surprisingly large rebel group known as The Zukariaan Peace Commitee began to recruit members. Finally, they attacked. They numbered in the tens of thousands. It was an attack from within that no one had expected.
The name was simply a front. They were just as bad as the Emperor, they simply wanted a different leader. They massacred thousands of civilians, hanging them from the streets like dolls.
The Empire struck back.
The war lasted 12 years, and at the end, nearly half of the population had been killed. The Empire had won, pushing the rebels into a corner and cutting off their food supply. They didn't show any mercy. They waited until every single one of them had died of starvation before declaring the war to be over.
World War I
40 years after the Civil War, the country had recovered. World War I had begun at around that time, and the Zukariaans jumped in on the side of the German, Austria-Hungarian, and Ottoman side. They fought for three years before pulling out becuase of too many casualties.
World War II
When World War II had begun, the Zukariaans again jumped in to help the Germans. The corrupt fascist government believed in power for the country, and supported Hitler. They did not care about race or religoun or any other things that the Nazis procecuted for. They participated in the genocide because they enjoyed it. The Zukariaans had grown cold and evil over the many many years since the establishment of the country.
When the war ended and the Germans lost, they pulled out and took their punishment. They were to never participate in foreign business again.
The Danteri Civil War
Many years later, after the Zukariaans had become less evil, they abandoned their punishment to help the Danteri government destroy a rebel group that had gotten too powerful. They helped the Danteri government for a long time, but before long, things got out of hand. Nuclear weapons had been used, the leaders of the factions had been killed off, and the war was put on hold for a peace conference.
The Kraven Takeover
Part way through the conference in Danteri, the commander of the Zukariaan forces struck a deal with the Kraven High Command. He promised to help them take land and resources in Arterus in turn for an alliance.
High Commander Corrol's idea of an alliance was a complete takeover by Kraven. In the middle of the night, thousands of Capitol Police were dropped into Zukariaa, they captured the people and killed the emperor, Zuka VII. The people were forced to live the Kraven way.
A small rebel group was able to get the emperor's child and wife our of Zukariaa and keep the line alive.
Zukariaa had no individuality anymore. It was not it's own nation.. it was Kraven.
The Continuation of the Danteri Civil War
The Takeover complicated things. Suddenly, the Zukariaan troops turned against their former allies. In the name of Kraven, they completely whiped out the Danteri military and government and began to implement the populace into Kraven.
This War Is Ongoing.
