In response to the message from Kreynoria, all homeguard and reserve units were called up, all naval forces put to sea and every available aircraft was made ready for combat, there was one thing that the Kreynorians would be afraid of, and that was total annihalation, every Missile Silo and SAC base was made ready to launch their deadly payload.


We will never surrender to you, the Spizani have withstood many threats and intrusions on thier sovereignty and we will end all life in all our countries before we submit. Coastal and Air Defences are standing by, if you wish to overrun us, you will do so by sending troops over barricades of your own dead

For siding with Tyrandis, Huahin was going to make Spizania pay. All the fleet based around Australia to protect against Tyrandi attacks were now in the Pacific. Baker Island was their objective

On the seas, the Huahin Dominion class aircraft carriers were preparing themselves for operation, as were the hundreds of support ships.

High up in the sky, with constant protection, giant airborne aircraft carriers slowly made their way to rendezvous with Kreynorian forces.

The Baker Island itself was a monsterous mechanical mess as a result of futile Spizani attempts to artificially enlarge the island. Rumour had it, that the a group of sailors had accidently ended up on the Baker Island, where they were tortured as spies, before being taken underground, where they were subjected to gruesome experiments which changed them beyond recognition.
The kind of news had been widespread in Huahin, and after Spizania decided to join forces with Tyrandis, action had to be taken.

We would like to thank the Tyrandisian Government for funding all assets of the soon Japanese invasion of Spizania ( OOC NOTE - Viva la 20 Trillion ). All the ships in the battlegroup were brand new designs purchased from Isselmere-Nieland, the new primary supplier of naval vessels for the Royal Cottish Navy, and crewed by loyal members of the Royal Cottish Navy. By now, all the traitors had been shot or hanged, and the purges were concluded.

The seventy-six strong crew of the Siren class intelligence gathering vessel were busy monitoring the airwaves for any kind of communications or signals on the radar on the vessel. High up in the sky, in space in fact, the Huahinian Fractional Orbital Bombardment System was prepped for launched. A conventional high explosive warhead was chosen, but due to the thrust generated by the re-entry rocket, the kinetic energy built up would be devastating. As the rocket left the FOBS, a signal was sent requesting a new rocket to dock as a rearmanent. Travelling at speeds in excess of Mach 10, the rocket roared through the sky, leaving a blazing trail that cut through the night sky, however, it was over in a flash, as the rocket impacted the Spizani Baker Island, just where the artificial part of the island connected with the natural part. The initial shockwave went straight through the island, shaking the whole island, and seconds later there was a series of screeches, and mechanical groans, as the superstructure built around the island struggled to take the stress.

The massive Union class fleet aircraft carrier cruised relatively slowly southwards, enjoying another warm Pacific day. That didn't mean that the activities were decreased though. No, the activities were just like they were on any given day, with aircraft in the sky, aircraft waiting to take off and aircraft waiting to land. Right now, a flight of four F-63N Tengriys were waiting for the runway to be cleared so that they could land and refuel. They were followed by another few flights of four A-5D Vigilantes; four F-39C Typhoons; and another four Tengriys.

In the fore of the mighty carrier, a flight of two RA-5E Vigilante reconnisance aircraft and two F-63N Tengriys were standing by for takeoff, each being attached to one of the EMALS catapults the Union was equipped with. After a few final checks, the go-ahead was given and the aircraft were catapulted forward while providing full thrust with their engines. With just one second apart, the four aircraft took off and climbed to fourty thousand feet before assuming formation.

The two Tengriys were relatively stealthy aircraft, and there to provide cover for the two reconnisance birds. Right now, they were climbing to sixty-five thousand feet before heading for Baker Island to take a look. Being as high up as they were, they wouldn't need to even consider violating territorial waters, especially with the high-resolution cameras the Vigilantes had installed. To further decrease the risk of taking fire, the two Vigilantes had their transponders, which clearly identified them as aircraft of the Royal Cottish Navy, on. The two Tengriys didn't for three reasons. First, it was a highly stealthy design with an RCS of only 0.0003 square meters, making it pretty much impossible to detect on RADAR; second, because the aircraft's existance itself was highly secretive; and third, because they were flying in a pretty tight formation with the two Vigilantes, hiding in their RCS. This was a test for them, but if they were targetted by SAM sites, they would immediately switch their transponders on, identify themselves as Cottish aircraft and flee the area pretty damn quickly.

Pacific Command in Kekaha was an old fortress, dating back centuries. When the Empire moved on the island group, it turned the fortress into a secure and heavily defended military installation. It was here that Pacific Command was based, just as Caribbean Command was based on the island of Grenada. Protected immediately by over two dozen mobile anti-aircraft units and within the engagement circles of at least another dozen medium and long-range systems between Kauai and Niihau, the fortress was as secure as could be, especially in the face of espionage and offensive attack. Defensively, attacking the fotress was like attacking the entire island, it was that well guarded.

When news of the Pacifinesian offensive against Spizania threw across the desks, things became tense. The Holy Empire of Kreynoria, which inhabited the remainder of the islands in the Hawaiian chain and many other Pacific islands, was no fan of the October Alliance, the Empire being one of six members of said alliance. In the past, the Empire and Kreynoria had experienced some difficulties. At one point in time, the Empire placed a naval blockaide on Kreynoria but eventually withdrew it when tensions eased. Since then, tensions had been at ease.

The mobilizations of the Pacifinesian forces spelled deep trouble for Spizania. Intelligence anaylsts could not pass by the possibility that this was a mere smoke screen for attack against someone else, perhaps Tyrandis, perhaps the Empire. Yelm had done such a maneuver, attacking Ecuador while appearing to be heading elsewhere. The Empire had been caught off guard once before and it wasn't going to be caught again.

Aside from surface-to-air missile systems and mobile guns, the islands were protected by shipping and aircraft, all of which were based on the islands and kept constantly supplied from the Province of Ynoga, the closest area. Newly delivered F-41A and F-41B Defender fighters were scrambled on constant alert. F-41A Defenders were loaded heavy with fuel and internal stores, which included up to six AIM-204A Escape dogfight missiles and either twelve AIM-179C BVRAAM long-range missiles, six AIM-120D-2 AMRAAM medium-range missiles and six AIM-179C BVRAAM long-range missiles, or a mix of those two and AIM-202A Dodsengel ultralong-range missiles. F-41B Defenders were loaded with the same complement of Escape missiles but carried, internally, up to eighteen AGM-177 Brimstone anti-tank missiles, two Mavericks, or any other assortment of guided bombs. External stores were not carried because it made the otherwise extremely stealthy aircraft very unstealthy.

The Spizanian Government hereby stands Strategic weapons command down to Level 2 Readiness from its earlier Level 0 Rating.

Go to war against TLS, and I invade.

The bombs smashed into the concrete and metal orifice that was the heart of the facility, huge craters flashed into existance in the island and the floating barrages. One Engineer was killed and three more badly injured.

Huahinian missile subs were lining up around Baker Island. Armed with surface to surface missiles, they fired over 100 missiles towards their targets. The collective smoke from the many missiles clouded the newly risen sun as they streaked across the morning sky. These missiles would lock on to any RADAR on Baker Island, and destroy it. If this primary objective failed, then the missiles would lock on to another predesignated target.
After the missiles were launched, ten giant B-1 Icarus bombers (for more info see the link in my sig) flew over Baker Island, at 100,000ft in the air, and dropped their bombs. These were no ordinary bombs, they were MOABs; to the scientists, it stood for Massive Ordnance Air Burst, but to the soldiers, and the pilots, and everyone else, it was the Mother Of All Bombs, packed with 18,000 lbs of Cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine, which was 1.35x more explosive than the conventional used; TNT.
Baker Island was going to be flattened, and the ugly artifical extensions were to be sunk, and used as artificial reefs to encourage the rare species of fish that lived there. On a nearby ship, a decontamination team was ready to clean up the mess from the old chemical works.
However, the job was not done yet, and there were more destructive weapons yet to come.

The main base RADAR system was the only transceiver assembly active, the four backups were switched off to prevent targetting by ARMs, it was a reasonable defensive tactics overall.

The Forces of Huahin had clearly underestimated Baker Islands defenses, like all Spizanian Military facilities, it was bristling with missiles and AA defense systems. They would pay for their overconfidence.

Large parts of the facilities turned white with rocket trails as hundreds of P.746.A Long Range SAMs left the launcher racks scattered around the site and flew to strike at the inbound weapons.
Two were targetted on each Surface to Surface Missile, tearing through them in a hail of explosions, only eight survived the barrage, slamming into a docking platform on one side, disabling it and killing eleven men.

Then the MOABs appeared, falling from that altitude they would require over four minutes to complete the drop, making them perfect targets, a volley of P.746.A missiles was launched, streaking almost straight up and blowing the MOABs from the sky, only one got through the initial barrage and ran into a hail of Cannon fire directed straight up, it exploded early,however it was low enough to set fires in a small part of the base, crew rushed to combat them in an attempt lest the spread and ignite some of the more volatile chemicals on the island.

Revenge would come on swift wind to Huahin, a volley of fifty massive P.746.F Ultra Long Range missiles targetted the retreating bombers, five to each.
The Submarines would pay also, five hundred Princepe III Asrocs fired, they would drop thier torpedoes in the area of the missile launches, they would search and destroy any enemy submarines in the area.

OOC:Baker Island is a 405 acre (1.64 km²) island. My MOABs destroy everything within a 400ft radius, as well as all the missiles I fired at you. Work it out asshole.

The planes were well out of reach from Spizani missiles as they cruised at 100,000ft. As were the submarines, who had immediatly dived to a great depth after firing their missiles. The Huahinian commander laughed at such futile efforts.

Back at the main fleet, Huahinian Super Sea Typhoons had been launched. Equiped with Plasma Stealth Spikes and Thrust Vectoring, these planes would wipe out the small remainder of Spizani forces left. As well as being armed with BVRAAMs, they also carried Napalm. 500 of them made the flight from the carriers, a little less than half the total strength. As they approached Baker Island at just over Mach 2, they immediatly dropped their napalm, which would carry on until it hit Baker Island. In all 5000 Napalm bomblets were launched. The Plasma stealth was then activated, and using a preprogrammed manouvre, the planes moved almost randomly as they utilised their thrust vectoring to point them back in the direction of the fleet. Nothing could be seen other than flames on the island, as a vast firestorm had been whipped up.

OOC: Actually the base is 100 square kilometres now, i remember RPing it, and a MOAB Is a bloody SITTING DUCK, you do know that Plasma Stealth shows up on IR like a SECOND SUN?
And the moabs were nailed at about thirty THOUSAND feet, the last one detonated at about five thousand feet, well above dangerous altitudes.
And the SAMs i fired at you have a ceiling of 37000 metres, which is more than a hundred thousand feet. Your planes are dead.

The large screen at the front of the bunker switches to an Enhanced Optical View, showing wisps of smoke, the wall of inbound weapons and five hundred glowing balls moving through the sky.

88mm and 155mm AAHs in armoured turrets began spraying out a vast cloud of flak into the sky in the path of the plasma stealth aircraft, hoping to catch them by suprise. Then massive clouds of white and grey smoke appeared as hundreds of SAMs began firing, followed by sprays of tracers as the 35mm Cannon in lightly armoured turrets began firing aswell.
95% of the inbound ordanance vanished in the comflagration although 250 bomblets broke through and smashed into the outer areas of the island structure, starting hundreds of small fires and spreading pools of liquid fire over the decking and causing several explosions as Pressure vessels broke open and spewed high pressure gasses all over the sky. But Baker island was far from finished.

OOC - Yet again you are godmodding to suggest only 95% of my bomblets got free. And also this isn't world war 2. Flak's limited range makes it useless against my fstrike aircraft.

OOC: Bomblets fly and appear on High Powered Military Grade RADAR, i can shoot them down, and nine five percent kill rates are normal against a tightly packed target when attacked with fragmentation warheads, and the island isnt big enough for the bombs to spread out sufficiently to avoid massive casualties
A flak barrage will prevent you flying through and over the island, that is the objective while the command staff think of something better

OOC: There is only a very small slice of the island that you can hit anyway, the cross section is really quite small, even averaging over the entire island diametre (which is an overestimation as you aint aiming for the centre), you get an average of 22m spacings, this may seem large but is really quite small, modern CAPMES Fragmentation Charges (The kind i am using) have major areas of effect over a kilometre across, the sky will be full of shrapnel from the Flak and missile bursts, added to 35mm Cannon, most of your weapons would be shredded within seconds, and by the time they break through, you would have lost about that much, and ofcourse, Napalm doesnt really do very much to steel plating.

Over a kilometer across? You're firing it the air so the effect will be in three dimensions. Kilometers measure distances.

Napalm can whip up firestorms.

Firestorms require lots of material to burn, steel needs to get hotter than napalm can before it burns. Thats one kilometre in radius, sorry about the misstype on my part

High up in the space, the Huahinian Fractional Orbital Bombardment System was preparing its latest launches. Using Kreynorian technology, they would fire a volley of 20 Tungsten needles at key points on Baker Island. These needles, although they would lose a lot of mass through reentry, had been designed to penetrate just about any substance known to man, and could penetrate up to 30 metres of solid concrete. Steel would also prove no barrier, as the needles hurtled towards Baker Island at frighteningly high speeds. They would hit key Spizani communication sites on the buildings in an effort to disable the SAM system on the island.
Meanwhile in the sky above the Baker, a new Huahinian bomber was undergoing its first ever mission. The B.2 took off from bases in the Kuriles, and made their way over to Baker Islands, armed with 10,000lbs of cluster bombs with a top speed of Mach 4.5 through the use of a powerplant which combined Ramjets with Turbojets. The Turbojet roared as the plane touched on Mach 1, then the airflow cycle changed, and the engine converted to a Ramjet. The sudden acceleration pushed the pilot back in his seat as the plane went higher through the Mach numbers. Before they reached Baker Island, they opened the bomb bays and released the cluster bombs in a slight clime, so as to allow the momentum to carry their bombs to the target.

In the sea, a Huahinian battlegroup had assembled. As well as the carriers which were already present, a battleship had also joined. Although due to be replaced shortly, it had been upgraded and fitted with (this is based on Iowa class hips in the US Navy, so the following stuff was added additionally) an anti torpedo sound system, the system is an effort to create an array of speakers along the side of a hull arranged so that they can collectively shoot out (and aim) shockwaves at incoming threats. Also on board was another anti torpedo or submarine system which consisted of the remotely controlled multi-barrel automated launcher with indirect elevation/traverse stabilisation;the depth-charge rockets with HE warhead and impact-time fuze to engage underwater targets; the mine-laying rockets with hydroacoustic proximity fuze for remote mining of a water area to make a barrier for incoming torpedoes; the decoy rockets to divert homing torpedoes from the surface ship by creating false acoustic target. The ship fired a full broadside of nine 16"/50 and six 5"/38 guns at the Baker Island.
