(this is a Past Tech Thread about a maiden voyage of a long distant steam ship you are welcome to join as any type of person, including crew)
A new erea of prospurusim. New technology, new methods of travel. A new ship has been introduced. The Steamer. Much faster than the long and tidious sail ship. In the Western Port, the H.M.S. Raven was preparing for it's maiden voyage. Thousands we're signing up as pleasure cruise, or going to a new destination. Captain R.J. Andrews, was an experienced seaman. Long time of sailing. But this was his first on a Steam Ship. He was a tall statley man, silver hair, weather beaten face. His crew was made up of men and women.
1st Mate Thomas Rogers, a younger Navy Man. Tall confident and strong
2nd Mate Emily Brindiger, a young woman, long raven black hair.
She haden't been sailing for very long, but she was rather confident.
The Captain looked confidently at his good ship. It was going to be a good voyage.
